Ok, so this is my 3rd team I have posted on these threads. My first 2 werent that great so I put some thought into this one and think it should work out pretty nicely. *NOTE* I battle competitively with my friends, but we DO NOT use choice items or legendaries(Including Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, etc...Pokemon with 100 in every stat).

Adam(Reuniclus) @ Life Orb
Nature: Quiet
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP/252 SpA/ 4 Def

-Trick Room
-Psychic
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball

--Reuniclus is my Trick Room lead. He has a great HP stat, awesome Special Attack, and decent bulk to get TR set up right away. Magic Guard is one of the best abilities in the game I think because it allows Reuniclus to avoid any damage not dealt from attacks...therefore allowing him to switch in and not worry about entry hazards or weather damage...or Life Orb Recoil! Its resistance to Fighting types to make up for Ferrothorn and Porygon2's weakness. Shadow Ball for good coverage and Focus Blast is for you Tyranitar!

ferrothorn_display.png

Jacob(Ferrothorn) @ Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP/252 SpD/4 Def

-Power Whip
-Leech Seed
-Gyro Ball
-Stealth Rock

--Ferrothorn is my go to guy when it comes to defense. His amazing bulk and many resistances make ferrothorn an awesome wall. When TR is in play, he is one of the fastest pokemon in the game with 20 base speed, Took out Curse for Leech Seed(Thanks NixHex) to annoy Pokemon even more lol. And I will pretty much always be able to set up a stealth rock unless hit by a fire move. Power Whip and Gyro Ball for great STAB moves.

233.png

Orville(Porygon2) @ Eviolite
Nature: Sassy
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SpA

-Trick Room
-Recover
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt

--Porygon2 is my 2nd Trick Room user. With Eviolite, he is amazing. Its already good defenses 85/90/95 are boosted by 50%! Which makes this guy very very capable of taking multiple hits and getting TR set up. Its immunity to Ghost is great for helping out my Reuniclus and Dusklops weakness. This is a pretty standard moveset for Porygon2 so there isnt much to say other than Ice Beam is great for those pesky Dragon types and Thunderbolt + Trace ability is my Gyarados counter. Recover for instant recovery.

Spr_4d_068.png

Patrick(Machamp) @ Black Belt
Nature: Brave
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def

-Bulk Up
-Bullet Punch
-Dynamic Punch
-Stone Edge

--130 base Atk stat, No Guard ability, 100% accurate Dynamic Punch. Thats all there is to say. Machamp is a physical beast with low speed making him a huge threat under TR. Decent bulk and an awesome base Atk stat make Bulk Up a very nice move to have along with his signature move Dynamic Punch. Machamp serves as my physical attacker with a great resistance to make up for my weakness to Dark (Reuniclus/Dusklops). With Stone Edge(Thanks to GtM for the suggestion) I can hit the likes of the very annoying Volcorona/Gyrados, and if TR goes down, then Bullet Punch is a great priority move on this slow but powerful fella.

Robert(Azumarill) @ Life Orb
Nature: Brave
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 SpD

-Aqua Jet
-Waterfall
-Ice Punch
-SuperPower

--This is my secret weapon. Azumarill is very overlooked because of its mediocre stats...but with a great ability like Huge Power, you should definitely be prepared. With a Brave nature and 252 Atk EVs, Azumarills attack reaches 218...double that with Huge Power and you get 436...plus Life Orb! Azumarill serves as my hard hitter in the late game. When TR starts wearing down its nice to have Aqua Jet as a powerful STAB priority move. Waterfall is another very strong STAB move while Ice Punch and SuperPower will definitely put a dent in things (Dragons and/or Ferrothorn).

356_dusclops_front_norm.png

Lloyd(Dusklops) @ Eviolite
Nature: Calm
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SpD

-Trick Room
-Pain Split
-Wil-O-Wisp
-Night Shade

--Dusklops is my 3rd Trick Room user and my staller. Dusklops's amazing 40/130/130 defenses make him very hard to wear down with the Eviolite boost...putting his defenses at base 195! Great TR user due to his extremely low speed. He isnt much of an attacker so Night Shade is a good move to have on him to always dish out either 50 or 100 damage each time. Wil-O-Wisp is great to have to make physical attackers useless...and when Dusklops health is finally getting down to red, Pain Split. Pressure is an awesome ability when it comes to stalling to wear down opponents PP.

Well, thats it! I think its a pretty good team but Im still learning and any comments and feedback would be great! Let me know what you guys think!

Hi here,

So many RMT... :( You said it yourself, you played it with your friends so you didn't really test the team on the ladder...

Politoead @ choice spe OHKO all your Poké except Nattorei. You have nothing for Jellycent, NP Celebi who can easily do a 6-0.

I can't suggest you to change this or this Pokémon cause only Reuniclus is at the good place.

You need Payback in Machamp too. Dusklops is useless in OU, using set uper under Trick room is a very bad Idea because you don't have time to set up :(

DynamicPunch does more damage to Ferrothorn than Fire Punch, so I'd use Ice Punch in its place to hit Gliscor, or alternatively Stone Edge to hit Gyarados and Volcarona.

Thanks GtM! I changed Fire Punch for Stone Edge...I have been having more problems with Volcorona and Gyarados anyways.

I have some reservations about Ferrothorn. Let's take a closer look. Dusclops / whoever uses Trick Room (4 turns left). You switch in Ferro (3 turns left). You Curse once, with no prior investment in Attack (2 turns left). Now, you have possibly the fastest moving Pokemon in the game with 336 Attack, but for two turns? You could use any combination of Power Whip or Gyro Ball, which can probably hurt something, but they're not very difficult to switch into seeing as how their coverage is terrible. Or, you could get off a speedy Stealth Rock and another Curse, bringing you up to 448 Atk (still to little to do much of anything against most defensive opponents), two Curses—560 Atk—one Curse and one attack... you get the point. Then Trick Room is over. Skarmory has no qualms about coming in and phazing you out, getting rid of your hard earned boosts, or Heatran can come in, laugh at your attacks, then phaze you by forcing you to switch. If you don't intend to run this offensively, then get rid of Curse. You can pull off a speedy Stealth Rock and possibly Leech Seed, and one attack if you're desperate.

Also, Energy Ball is a bad idea on Reuniclus. If you use Trick Room while your opponent switches in Tyranitar, trust me that you would love to have Focus Blast in your arsenal. Energy Ball is just bad and will have an effective 107 Base Power (taking sandstorm into account), where as Focus Blast will hit it for almost triple the amount that Energy Ball would do. Of course, you risk dying if FB misses, but you will die if you pull off an Energy Ball. Who else does Energy Ball cover? You can scare away Quagsire or Gastrodon with Ferrothorn just as easily, since Reuniclus doesn't mind switching since it hasn't made its own boosts.

tl;dr: If you're going with Curse on Ferrothorn, run an offensive EV spread such as 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD, which is the recommended spread for the Choice Band set. If you're running it defensively, get rid of Curse for a support option. Replace Energy Ball with Focus Blast so you can hit Tyranitar much harder.

You definitely need to switch Energy Ball to Focus Blast.Give ferro some attack evs if you're keen on running a curse set although I wouldn't advise it.I think you should switch it to a support set with SR and/or spikes with power whip with gyro ball or leech seed.I'd recommend Conkeldurr over Machamp as it's stronger, doesn't care about status and can sweep without TR if needed.Good Luck!

Thanks guys! I changed Energy Ball on Reuniclus to Focus Blast, and took out Curse on Ferro for Leech Seed...worked out much better :jump:
