Mega Beedrill carves a big niche in a metagame filled to the brim with offensive threats such as Mega Alakazam, Mega Aerodactyl, and Melmetal due to it's blistering Speed and great offensive power which enables it to act as a great revenge killer. Utilizing U-Turn, Mega Beedrill can force in common switchins such as Melmetal, Rhydon, and Zapdos to enable partners such as Poliwrath, Dragonite, and Mew to revenge kill it's aforementioned checks. Drill Run is a great STAB option that can take out checks such as Rhydon and Melmetal once weakened enough, while it's other two STAB moves can deal large amounts of damage to the rest of the metagame. Pair Mega Beedrill with wallbreakers that can take advantage of it's pivoting capabilities, with good examples including Dragonite, Melmetal, and Nasty Plot Mew.
