SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED!
The Mega Dimension has now opened up...and with it, the submissions close. Let's see who's up for voting this time_
...PalpitoadChamp was the only one who casted a submission...AGAIN?!

*sigh* Please welcome, from left to right, the Grass/Steel Huge Power abuser Plunnia, the Ghost/Dragon defensive attacker Ghooth, and the Water/Rock Unaware Goomba...well, that answers the question from last slate.
The next slate is starting soon. And I think I've learnt an important lesson from this...
That's the last time I'm using sprites taken from other games.

SLATE 18: ONE CHAMPION OF A TIME!
“The Champion of a Pokémon Region is not only the final test in your journey to become the very best, like no-one ever was, but also a final curtain for all the new Pokémon in a generation…So let’s see how well the champions did it, shall we? Not counting Lance, Steven of Generation 3 had five new Pokémon out of his team of six, and his Metagross truly captured the meaning of a final boss, as it was found nowhere else in the game except it’s pre-evolved form in the post game. Cynthina’s only returning Pokémon in her Diamond/Pearl team was her Milotic, which fitted her personality, and you’d all probably know how devastating her Garchomp was…but only that Garchomp was revealed with Diamond and Pearl’s release itself! Ghetsis (He’s not a champion but he’s a final boss so he’s here) had obviously a full team of new Pokémon, knowing the generation he’s in only had new Pokémon, and the same could be said for Diantha of Kalos: Asides from her Mega Gardevoir, only the two fossils of her team had been previously revealed prior to Pokémon X and Y’s release. Professor Kukui’s only unrevealed Pokémon that got released with the game itself was the fully evolved starter, which was a bit notorious because you never got to see the middle form of the starter strong to your choice in the game itself…a point that Leon proves well, even though he is infamous for having a Charizard as his ace. Finally, Geeta of Paldea covers loose with an even split of three returnees and three newcomers, and since Scarlet and Violet was really stingy with it’s reveals, notably not revealing a single evolution of a Pokémon prior to the game’s release, they all came out of the blue…literally! While we’re not sure how Generation 10’s champion will pan out…these champions show that you should always be ready for a challenge you’ve never seen before!”
So, to honour that, we're going to do something special...we're going to make our very own Champion Team! Six unique designs have stepped up to form the roster of a legend, but will they really live up to the destiny they were hoping for? That's up to you to decide....

Well, you know the score and the score knows you, this is your reminder that you have until Monday to cast your submissions, so finish them before it's too late! Two on the brain is good luck, but will there be any more?

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED!
Phew, thank goodness we have a voting period this time...I mean, it's time to put this Champion Team together! Two brave souls, Cyaneedle and PalpitoadChamp, have bravely volunteered to provide the pieces...now you've got to decide who's perfect for each spot! So, here are your options this time...
DESIGN A:
1765396778400.png

Cyaneedle's Jet-to-zard
PalpitoadChamp's Steven
DESIGN B:
1765396783045.png

Cyaneedle's Barriulch
PalpitoadChamp's Tankarhm
DESIGN C:
1765396787299.png

Cyaneedle's Tokyovania
PalpitoadChamp's Frentaur
DESIGN D:
1765396791587.png

Cyaneedle's Gourdrake
PalpitoadChamp's Chendo
DESIGN E:
1765396795713.png

Cyaneedle's Hawkeen
PalpitoadChamp's Thunder Thighs
DESIGN F....HUH?!

1765396800013.png
1765396803228.png

What do you mean, we only got one submission for this design? Well, suit yourself, for I guess that means that one submission automatically gets into the metagame for free, no questions asked! And this time, the submission is NOT by PalpitoadChamp...say hello to Anubyssal, the identity of Design F who was made by Cyaneedle! This Ghost/Dark type has two forms that it can switch between using a currently unknown special item: It's regular form is a fast disruptor with access to Prankster and some mean Status moves like Parting Shot, Topsy Turvy, Thunder Wave, and everyone's favorite Destiny Bond, while it's Lunarsignal form is a powerful but slow Physical attacker! You'll find it in the database soon!
Anyway...remember, for this vote, the topmost submission of each design in your vote will count as two votes, and you cannot put your own submission as the top vote. For example, if you were to copy the above text exactly, then Jet-to-zard, Barriulch, Tokyovania, Gourdrake, and Hawkeen would get two votes instead of one. Also, keep in mind that you're voting on six five designs this time instead of three. The submissions with the most votes in each design will enter the metagame.
Voting will last until tomorrow, hopefully...GOOD LUCK!

Design A: Cyaneedle, Abstain (Palp deadass has already submitted a bulky Water Flying idk why they are repeating concepts)
Design B: Cyaneedle, PalpitoadChamp
Design C: PalpitoadChamp, Cyaneedle
Design D: PalpitoadChamp, Cyaneedle
Design E: PalpitoadChamp, Cyaneedle

Mod is slowly turning into PalpitoadChamp's solomod

Huh....G-Luke has a point here. That...might be a problem, and we might have to do something about that soon. But, due to a lack of votes, we will have to delay the voting period's end until tomorrow: Get your votes in before it's too late!

Either way, it doesn't look like there's going to be any more votes. So, come one, close all! It's time to see what this champion team's made of...sit down, this is going to be a long one!
1765396778400.png

First up, Design A will now go under the name of Jet-To-Zard, who was put together by Cyaneedle! This mean Flying/Dragon type has Mold Breaker and the deadly Jet-to-Zard Gatling, which is basically a Flying-type multistrike move: With it's 110 attack, you can see where this is going for Pokémon that are weak to it!
1765396783045.png

Next up for Design B, give a round of applause to Barriulch, who's the winner of Design B! Also made by Cyaneedle, this Grass/Ground type is a bulky offensive Rain Dish tank with Ivy Cudgel under it's disposal...Too bad it's basically just a better Leaf Blade because Barriulch is not an Ogerpon.

1765400056839.png

Now, the rest of the winners were made by PalpitoadChamp, creating an odd case where half of the winners of the slate were made by Cyaneedle, and the other half were made by PalpitoadChamp! First up, for Design C, you can call it Frentaur from now on. He's a Fairy/Ground type who gives his enemy Color Change on switch in in exchange for their ability, allowing for some crazy shenanigans like constant Shadow Ball or Outrage spam, or U-Turning into something that can beat Bugs, making him a good pivot...but his 90 in every stat could see some use.
1765400996026.png

Design D, guess what? I hope you enjoy being called Chendo from now on, because that's what your identity is! Think twice before poisoning this Fairy/Dragon type, because not only will he get a better Regenerator from it, but it also upgrades his signature move, Cheese Please, which pivots him out if he goes first! Of course, this means that the Toxic Orb is perfect for it, but be careful, for it's not completely immune to poison...so, remind myself to stop inviting Wallace to this.
1765633430238.png

Last, but not least, for Design E, we present to you the Thunder Thighs! Despite what the name might suggest, this Pokémon is not actually a Paradox Pokémon at all: It's a Fighting/Flying type with Electric moves at it's disposal. Watch out for that surprise Yawn...
So, from this, we have a Champion Team with two Flying types, two Ground types, two Dragon types, and every single Pokémon in it but Anubyssal is allergic to Ice-types.
...Eh, better than what Geeta can do!
Anyway, thank you for voting! You'll find Jet-To-Zard, Barriulch, Frentuar, Chendo, and Thunder Thighs in the database soon...but the next slate will be starting sooner than that! We plan to go on hiatus again at the end of the 20th slate, so good luck with the last two slates...even though they're not the last two!
...But, yeah, maybe we need to look into this PalpitoadChamp problem....

SLATE 19: THE GIMMICK OF THE SITUATION
“The gimmick of a generation is always the most surprising reveal of a generation’s reveal period, because it is always something we never see coming. We already talked about the hype we received with the reveal of Mega Evolution, but the same also applied to the future generation’s gimmick reveals as well. Pokémon Sun and Moon brought Z-Moves, a form of ultimate attack that was later revealed to have unique moves for certain Pokémon, as well as Regional Forms. Pokémon Sword and Shield brought upon Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing, an alternative form that allowed artists to show how Pokémon would be if they were titans of the lands. And Pokémon Scarlet and Violet actually pulled a bit of a hint in their first major Pokémon reveal trailer to Terastalization, the ability to finally give your Pokémon the type they sorely desired during battle, even if the two unique Terastalization forms were exclusively for Expansion Pass Legendary Pokémon. With every new gimmick that gets revealed, the imagination of the world flares more and more.”
So, for the second to last slate before our second hiatus, what better than to try and introduce a new gimmick? You'll find that these three designs just itching to join in the fun all have something common with them, but I'll leave it up to you to decide what it is! Remember, if a design lists two or more sprites, your entry must make use of all of them!
