[OVERVIEW]
Despite being seemingly outclassed by Ribombee as a Quiver Dance sweeper, two things set Lilligant apart: Sleep Powder and Nature Power. Sleep Powder allows Lilligant to safely set up against slower Pokemon that would otherwise beat it like Weezing and Togedemaru. The second is Nature Power, which transforms into Tri Attack under normal circumstances, giving Lilligant a strong attack to break past many Grass-resistant Pokemon like Charizard and Druddigon more easily, and Nature Power is easier to run on Lilligant than Ribombee due to the latter's need for Aromatherapy and Roost. This, combined with Lilligant not being forced to run Heavy-Duty Boots, lets it serve as a solid sweeper. However, Lilligant can be wildly inconsistent, as it relies on sleep turns to break past many of its switch-ins (add hyphen). Its lack of coverage also leaves it walled by Steel-types such as Togedemaru, which is troublesome if it does not get adequate Sleep turns or if Lilligant has already put a foe to sleep. Without a Speed boost, it is easily revenge killed by Pokemon like Silvally-Ghost, and even at +1, it is outsped by Choice Scarf Togedemaru and has to play a guessing game versus Ninjask. Finally, Lilligant's paltry bulk belies its decent defensive typing, and as such, Lilligant provides less defensive utility compared to other sweepers like Ribombee.

[SET COMMENTS]
Giga Drain is a decently powerful STAB move that heals chip damage Lilligant tends to take from entry hazards, sand, and weak attacks. Petal Dance, when combined with Own Tempo, gives Lilligant more power in exchange for giving it less sustainability. Chlorophyll bolsters Lilligant's matchup against sun teams, which are uncommon but can be annoying to deal with offensively. Lilligant dislikes opposing Steel-types such as Ferroseed and Perrserker; Togedemaru in particular is troublesome due to its access to consistent recovery, ability to pivot into an offense check, and propensity to cripple Lilligant with Toxic, so Pokemon that can break past them such as Charizard and Hitmontop are appreciated teammates. Ribombee also makes for an excellent partner, as together they can wear down each other's checks, such as Centiskorch, and open up sweeping opportunities for each other. Lilligant can hit a shared check with Sleep Powder, while Ribombee can heal annoying status from Togedemaru and Regirock with Aromatherapy. Entry hazard support from Pokemon like Froslass can help wear down Lilligant's switch-ins.
