[OVERVIEW]
Litleo is the only Fire/Normal type mon in Little Cup, which provides it a unique host of resistances and weaknesses. With 17-SpA STAB Fire-type moves, Litleo can hurt a large chunk of the metagame. Snivy, Ferroseed, Pawniard, and Foongus are all checked by Flamethrower, whereas super-effective mons like Minefoo, Vullaby, and physical Water-types like Goldeen can all be dealt with by Will-o-Wisp. Unfortunately, Litleo's weakness to Stealth Rocks alongside a lack of coverage moves makes Litleo an awkward mon to swap in with and makes Litleo not much more than a worse Ponyta or Magby. Having no really consistent way to boost their own offensive or defensive stats means Litleo has to rely on their base SpA to sweep and their base defence to tank any faster threats. Ponyta's speed and physical damage output outclass Litleo's special damage output, while Magby's high Attack, Speed, and access to Belly Drum makes Magby a better sweeper, but Litleo makes for a mildly-functional Fire-typed special attacker if a team desperately needs one.
[SET]
Name: Special Attacker
Move 1: Flamethrower/Fire Blast
Move 2: Will-O-Wisp
Move 3: Hidden Power Grass/Hyper Voice
Move 4: Flame Charge
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Unnerve
Nature: Timid/Modest
EVs: 20HP/52Def/252SpA/4SpD/180Spe
[SET COMMENTS]
This set allows Litleo to swap into a mon with a weakness to Fire such as Ferroseed, boost speed, then apply consistent pressure through STAB Fire Blast or Hyper Voice. Litleo is mostly outclassed by Ponyta, who has both higher speed and better offensive capability than unboosted Litleo, but manages to barely pull through as a niche threat since they're the only almost-viable Fire-typed special attacker.
