Rickheg, the veteran, the relentless raider; Has brought his legendary Fire breathing, Lava Pluming monster to this battle too. He easily rekt the last contender in their pool, but today he faces a much tougher opponent, one who was recently crowned as the Water Gym Leader. Water! something that his Heatran won't like to be introduced to. His choice of complimenting mons are quite comprehensive, solid and well rounded. And he brought two of the pokemon he used last round, Lets just say he is sticking to the Ol' Cowboy tradition, "If it ain't broken, then don't fix it." Lets see how it works out for him today.

S0L1D G0LD, the newest member of the Gym League. A flash battle expert! Loves to play singles and likes the quick kills. Although he has been quite impressive recently, and his runs usually are only ended by time. Time! The devil that ruins a skilled player's chance at winning. However, today he faces an equally skilled player who seems to be coming back to form himself. Will S0L1D G0LD's power packed team be able to break through the Solid core of Rickheg or will S0L1D G0LD find himself against a S0L1D G0LD of a team? Impossible to say just yet, but we would know in time!

Also, as I had vainly mentioned in the last battle. If you guys haven't wagered yet, this is also a battle where you can get some really good odds; so dust the rust of those CCs and make them do some work.

If Explosion is used in a combo and you are not Taunted and you are above 15 Hp and you are not behind a Substitute, use Substitute (15 Hp) that action and push back.

Round 1: No setting up hazards, Sir!:

S0L1D G0LD avoided all hazardous plays of Heatran by Taunting him and yet managed to keep himself in the game. Rickheg trapped the Deoxys for a favourable switch-in, who will it be?
As the two legendaries enter the field, there is complete silence and reverence paid to these two massively different yet powerful pokemon. The battle started with S0L1D G0LD commanding his deoxys to taunt the Molten Lava Legend to battle head on, because he knows that outright attacks would only end up getting the heatran a cold bodied knock out.

Rickheg knowing that his time is limited, decides to employ the trap and run strategy. It is highly likely that he might bring in his Gardevoir, but nothing can be said with certainty as of now.

Focus Band caps damage at 20% of the wielder's max hp. As Deoxys has base 90 Hp, this works out to 18, so Giygas should have 5 more Hp.

Nope. Saving Garde for a special occasion.

Salamence with Salamencite
[INTIMIDATE][MEGA EVOLVE] Return > Dragon Claw > Return
IF successful protective/evasive, use Tailwind and push back
IF Counter, use Dragon Pulse the first time, Hydro Pump the second time, and Dragon Pulse the third time
IF Ice Punch in a combo, use Protect

Ordering assuming that Magma Storm is broken when the user switches out, since the user is no longer on the field and thus can no longer maintain the required seismic connection. Please let me reorder if this is false.

Endure - Zap Cannon - Ice Punch
If Zap Cannon misses a2, use Zap Cannon a3.

Round 2: Deoxyification:

Rickheg brought his own big guns to the field. But unexpectedly, S0L1D G0LD crippled his big gun, while retaining advantageous position.
To fight power with power, Rickheg sent out his Mega to do the finishing job. May be the Deoxys-A's pressure is too much for his pokemon as he is found him struggling against the legendary pokemon's sheer presence.

Everyone is expecting a switch from Gold next round, but who would he bring? Dragonite seems the solid choice, but will he expect the expected and bring in Mawile? We will have to wait and see.

Uhh, I see a couple of questionable things here.

First:

Deoxys-A uses Zap Cannon!
Accuracy Check(8000): 6551 (Hit)
Damage: (15 + 11 - 4.5)*1 - 2 = 16.5
Mega Salamence is paralyzed!
EN Used: 9

Zap Cannon's BAP should be 11, not 15. Unless it scored a critical hit and I didn't see that (I think you also forgot the crit roll), it has (12 - 1) 11 BAP due to dragon STAB. Also, where is the -2 coming from? I think you might have mixed up the attack drop with the calcs. The final damage appears to be right barring an aforementioned crit, but I'm just confused as to where it's coming from.

Deoxys-A uses Ice Punch!
Critical Hit Check (625): 5675 (No)
Damage: (8 + 10 - 6)*2.25 = 27
Effect Chance(1000): 5270 (No)
EN Used: 6

There should be a -2 here to signify Deoxys's attack drop, no?

Edit:

Orders:

Switching? Nah, no time for good plays like that.

Ice Punch - Rock Slide - Ice Punch
If Salamence is under the effects of a successful p/e move when you would act, start action chain Recover - Ice Punch - Rock Slide on the first instance and start action chain Chill - Ice Punch - Rock Slide on the second.
If Roost and you have more then 16 en, start action chain Snatch - Ice Punch - Rock Slide , but not consecutively.
If Rest and you are not Taunted and Salamence is not Taunted, use Taunt that action and restart the queue.

Edit2:

Fixed/changed subs.

The battle seems to be moving in one direction, although history is witness to a large number of turn-a-rounds. And the conquerors across the ages, have not been successful because they never lost. But because they never gave up.

Enforced 2 day dq time, so...

rickheg, this should unfortunately be DQ. I really don't like DQ, though, so you have 12 hours since Gale reffed to order. After that, I'm afraid, I will have to call dq.

Yeah, I'll take the bait. Gardevoir with expert belt.

Toxic > Moonblast > Moonblast
IF Iron Tail, alone or in a combo, begin chain Protect > Disable (Iron Tail), but only once, and push back

Iron Tail - Substitute (15 Hp) - Roar

Orders assume I'm not stupid and Gardevoir uses Toxic a3. Not sure if I can, but I'd like a reorder (haha no) if I'm incorrect.

Round 5: The Switchings that lead to Setup Square!

Gold set himself up for victory, will his strategy work?
This round is a good example of how a setup move could go a long way into assisting a win for a team.
The Stealth Rock which was setup by Mega Mawile gave his trainer a 36 HP lead on his opponent without landing a single blow.

Now S0L1D G0LD's Dragonite is safely behind a substitute facing a heatran at low health; however, Dragonite's Multiscale is broken and S0L1D G0LD is ordering first next round. Is there any chance for Rickheg to come back into this game? If so, then it has to come out sooner than later.
