Right back into the fray! Maxim brings forth his own legendary: Regigigas. Slow Start means that it needs to putz around for a round and a half before obtaining its obscene Rank 8 Attack stat. It manages to buy itself a lot of time thanks to Hoopa hitting itself in confusion. Pyroak's Sand Tomb and Leech Seed continue to pay their toll by slowly whittling Hoopa down. But thanks to a lucky critical hit, it manages to recover a good chunk of HP (not to mention a free Focus Band thanks to Magician). akela is going to need to act fast before that Slow Start counter hits zero this upcoming round.

Woof. Things are not looking good for akela. Hoopa's Torment arrives too late to prevent Regigigas from using Confuse Ray. It then proceeds to be fully paralyzed and confused for the next two actions, while Regigigas does impressive damage, even through Reflect. On Action 3, its Slow Start dissipates as it lays on a powerful Heavy Slam. Even though akela has the opportunity to switch, it may not save him from this fully powered behemoth.
