Hi there!
(This is my first post so excuse any mess-ups that may occur!)
With the end of ORAS coming ever so close, I wanted to finally make a Smogon account and post on this website, and the first thing I'm posting is a team I made over a few mini-tours on the OU channel for fun. It was just a simple team that consisted of some of the best solo mons I could think of at the top of my head, and then mix them into one big team to work together. I kind of doubt you're reading this over here, so let's begin the RMT!

Introduction
Teambuilding Process

So when I first thought of "one of the best solo mons," the first one that came to mind was Clefable. Clef is incredibly versatile and can fit very well on a ton of teams so I was fine just keeping Clef on here.

Next was Mega Scizor. Arguably the best mega in OU currently, thanks to it's absurd bulk, fantastic typing, and with how prominent fairies are, MScizor definitely takes the cake for being one of the best checks to fairies in general.

Now I started to actually get into the "thinking" part of things. As in, not just slapping Pokemon onto a team. Heatran was a good option as it lit up another way for me to control bird-spam, and more importantly, Fire Pokemon, which would otherwise start being a little annoying to deal with.

Woah woah woah. Did this guy just say "standard" with a SWAMPERT on his team?! Well, that is why I said "with a twist," but with the real reason Swampert is here, it's so it can be my main Stealth Rocker. Yeah Yeah, I know I tons of Pokemon outside of Swampert that could rocks, but those mons hold a different purpose on this team. Rotom-W was also another good option, but the main reason I didn't go for it was because of how my other mons needed to fulfill a different purpose, or other mons would be too threatening against this team. It also checks Azu pretty nicely.

So Tangrowth was here as a way to beat a ton of mons that made my life so much harder. Rotom-W, Rain teams, Azumarill, Keldeo, Crawdaunt, mostly water types. It also finished a nice FWG core, and with Regenerator it was nice to have against Stall. Tangrowth also eats status.

Landorus was actually the last mon I picked AFTER I finished my sets. I picked Landorus because it gave me U-Turn initiative, and I could revenge-kill birds, Adamant +1 Zard X, and other things along those lines.

Alright so Clefable is a fantastic center-piece for this team, as it's what I would call my "trump card," even if the opponent knows what it's going to do. I run the standard set with Calm Mind, Moonblast, Soft-Boiled, and Thunder Wave. Flamethrower was an option I put there to hit Ferro's/Scizor's that I might find occasionally, but Thunder Wave is better otherwise since paralysis is a great way to hit Heatran, and bulky steels that I can't OHKO on switch-in. I use this mon only when I can take out the things that block out it's way from getting a CM up and just winning the game.

Tips for Newbies like I
- Be patient with this team. Sometimes it feels less like a balance team and more like a stall team, but if it does feel that way, then you're definitely doing it right.- Take full advantage of the FWG core in this team. Tangrowth eats any status and beats Water/Grass mons, Swampert gets rocks up and can beat set-up mons, and Heatran breaks stall and can switch-into most Fire mons.
- Serperior and Crawdaunt are two very big threats against this team (Serp is the only reason I would consider running Unaware Clef) since my team has trouble finding ways to beat them. Serp is beat by Tran, and Craw is beat by Tang. If you find either of them, keep the respective mon alive so you don't just lose to the opposing mon.
- Tornadus-T. This thing absolutely SUCKS to fight. Clef might be able to beat it if you're lucky and you don't get confused/he misses Hurricane and stays in on your TWave. Landorus can revenge-kill if you're lucky as well. Otherwise, glhf because that mon sucks to fight.
- Making room for Clefable to win is the solution for 60% of the games you'll play. That's not even a joke. CM Clef can single-handedly beat almost every team as long as you get rid of steel mons. Heatran beats other Heatran's and Magnezone's without HP Ground. It might not be the best idea to only rely on Clef, but when you see a team that has maybe 2 ways to beat Clef, then that is a team that Clef can definitely win, even without you trying to help them in the first place.
And that's it! Please use the importable for this team, and I look forward to the feedback that you'll all give. I also hope to be involved more in this community, hopefully this first post wasn't too bad. Thank you, and bye!
