Lurantis @ Figy Berry
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leaf Blade
- Superpower
- Knock Off / Substitute
- Protect

At a glance, Lurantis simply looks like something you'd find in PU—fittingly, that's where it actually is in singles! In DOU, however, it surprisingly stands as an effective attacker for Trick Room and semi-Trick Room teams. Its viability mostly lies in how its ability and typing allow it to capitalize on numerous threats in the metagame. Aside from letting it go big on 'em with stat boosts, its ability Contrary also lets it punish the common Intimidate users Landorus-T and Incineroar. Meanwhile, its Grass typing grants it favorable matchups against top threats such as Tapu Koko, Tapu Fini, Landorus-T, Zygarde, Kartana, and Mega Swampert. Since base 105 Attack is quite average, it is recommended for Lurantis to use Superpower as much as it can, using Leaf Blade purely to secure KOs; in addition to allowing Lurantis to snowball in power, this also makes it capable of devouring physical hits with ease, rendering it unstoppable outside of special attackers.

I like Sub but I'd slash Knock before it, Knock gives Lurantis some utility and lets it hit some stuff it otherwise couldn't dent like Latias. Sub also prevents you from punishing Intimidate which is part of why Lurantis is so good. Otherwise looks great
