This is the mafia queue. The mafia queue is now all NOCs and regular OCs, as opposed to Bigs, while the list of ready Bigs is beneath for if the community renews interest in playing them.

To Get On The Queue:

Post your game concept in the Game Approvals subforum. Once posted, you'll be assigned one of these lovely advisors:

NOC: a fairy, Blazade, Celever, Nuxl, Tommy
OC: Blazade, Nuxl, Tommy, UncleSam, Yeti

Alternatively, feel free to reach out to an advisor privately before posting the game to see if they'd be happy to advise or cohost with you. They can claim your game when it's posted in game approvals themselves given the prior communication.

We've implemented a new queue, you can see more information behind the logic here.

In short: the average queue cycle will be:
1 NOC -> 1 OC -> 1 NOC -> 1 Big OC
An alternative cycle may have both OCs be larger-but-not-Big OC games.

Folks, be aware, our current schedule as of posting is expected to take a while to work through! It's been so amazing to see such a wonderful revival, and the return of OC games has been a mind-boggling addition that everyone should be proud of helping happen.

If folks would like to swap spots with others, they're welcome to discuss with people and the moderators. We understand that some folks have better availabilities during specific timeframes, but with a queue as long as it currently is, it's hard to predict so far ahead when games will be scheduled for. In a similar vein, if hosts are not ready to host at a time, we may simply move forward in the queue to keep things moving - as an example of what kinda changes might be done to individual cycles to keep things healthy and running.

This cycle system is not set in stone, and is based off of the current queue, what we've seen brought up by people, and historical Revivial behavior. We're going to be flexible based on what gets submitted, what we think will be the best for the community's interest, and what the hosts are able to do schedule-wise. The cycles are an ideal balance in our eyes, replacing the broken FCFS system, but this is just our baseline that we will adjust and make exceptions to as needed.

New Mafia Queue System (OK, old Mafia Queue System)

The previously new mafia queue system was in part introduced due to Bigs; the work it takes to create and run a Big obviously far exceeds a standard sized game, and on a purely first come first served basis we were running into problems with Bigs not being ready by the time they were posted, etc..

With interest in Bigs seemingly subsiding, there's no need for Bigs to be involved in queues anymore.

So it's going back to first come first served. Bigs are still something we're interested in running if we can get the signups for them, but Bigs will be added to a separate queue and will be hosted when we think people might want to play one again.

Otherwise, this queue will just be NOC and regular OC games, on a first come first served basis.

Your slot in the queue is booked at the point you post your game in game approvals, assuming adequate (read: it's a low bar) work is done to finish your game in time. If you totally ghost the advisor and your game isn't done by the time your queue spot rolls around you'll be skipped, but if work has been going on (or if the reason your game isn't ready is an advisor has been busy for example) then no skips, we're sticking to first come first served.
