Magearna @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Def / 24 SpA / 180 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draining Kiss
- Stored Power
- Shift Gear
- Calm Mind
Magearna can quickly snowball out of control thanks to its access to boosting moves, Soul-Heart, and great bulk, allowing it to make use of Weakness Policy against the likes of Cinderace and Choice Scarf Landorus-T. Additionally, the Speed investment and a Timid nature allow Magearna to outspeed Cinderace after a Shift Gear. Draining Kiss is used to keep Magearna healthy while also allowing it to use Blissey as setup bait. Stored Power works greatly with Magearna's boosting moves, Soul-Heart, and Weakness Policy to mow pass traditional checks such as Corviknight, Gliscor, and Gastrodon. Magearna fits best on hyper offense teams. Entry hazard support from Landorus-T or Mew is essential to whittle down checks like Heatran and Victini. Cinderace helps with threatening Magearna's checks such as Heatran, Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, and Unaware Clefable. Choice Scarf Victini is another powerful teammate capable of luring Heatran with Final Gambit. Miscellaneous wallbreakers and sweepers such as Mega Gyarados, Galarian Zapdos, Kommo-o, and Mega Mawile can pave the path for Magearna and vice versa.
