[OVERVIEW]

Steel
========

* Magnezone helps Steel-types in checking Water-types and relieves some pressure off Ferrothorn by taking care of Keldeo, Slowbro, and Tapu Fini fairly easily.
* It's one of the best pivots of the type due to its access to STAB Volt Switch.
* It also is a Thunder Wave sponge and is the only viable Pokemon to do so other than Excadrill.
* Magnezone is one of the few Landorus checks the type has.
* It traps and beats Skarmory, which is painful to face with a Steel team otherwise.
* It lacks a good movepool and has to rely on Hidden Power Fire for decent coverage.
* A lack of high Speed lets it be outsped by Greninja, Mega Aerodactyl, and Alakazam, and common Choice Scarf users such as Excadrill, Heracross, and Terrakion threaten to KO Magnezone.
* Being 4x weak to Ground means Magnezone is almost always death fodder versus Ground teams.

Moves
========

* Volt Switch allows Magnezone to pivot out of threats while inflicting damage. It can help Magnezone escape matches that are unfavorable to it, such as Mega Venusaur and Zapdos, and gain momentum in the process.
* Thunderbolt is used in order to hit harder, KOing Volcanion and Keldeo, which Volt Switch cannot do.
* Flash Cannon is used to hit Fairy-, Ice-, and Rock-types, such as Tapu Bulu, Mamoswine, Tyranitar, and Cradily, and is a nice spammable attack that hits most Pokemon neutrally.
* Hidden Power Fire is used to hit trapped threats such as Ferrothorn and Scizor.
* On the other hand, Hidden Power Ice can be used to take care of Landorus, Dragonite, Garchomp, and Gliscor, all big threats for Steel teams.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Special Attack and Speed investment is used so Magnezone can outspeed almost the entire unboosted metagame and hit as hard as possible, as well as OHKO Keldeo.
* Choice Scarf allows Magnezone to outspeed threats such as Keldeo and Infernape.
* A Timid nature is the preferred choice because Magnezone would otherwise be too slow to outspeed threats.
* Magnet Pull traps Steel-types that are a nuisance to the team.

Usage Tips
========

* It is useful to have entry hazards on the opponent's side. With Volt Switch, Magnezone can punish the opponent for further switching.
* Magnezone should be cautious when using an Electric-type move when there's a Ground-type or any Electric-immune Pokemon like Swampert, Landorus-T, or Lightning Rod Alolan Marowak. Magnezone would lose momentum if those Pokemon switched into Electric-type attacks.
* Keeping entry hazards off the field is recommended, as Spikes and Sticky Web hinder Magnezone's performance.
* Magnezone is a great lead by using its fast Volt Switch to get out of bad situations if necessary.
* Switch Magnezone in versus Flying or Steel teams when you expect them to switch to Skarmory or Celesteela and eliminate them.
* Magnezone should be hard switched out whenever you feel the opponent will switch to Landorus, Thundurus, or Gliscor to later lure them in to KO with Hidden Power Ice.
* Wear the opposing team down, then use Magnezone to clean with a STAB move.
* Volt Switch is very spammable, and Magnezone can chip HP off the specially defensive walls that tend to switch into Magnezone.

Team Options
========

* Heatran is absolutely necessary in all Steel teams due to it being a fantastic Stealth Rock user, immune to Fire, and a good check to special attackers. Air Balloon + Earth Power Heatran is a great partner because Magnezone can Volt Switch and pop the opposing Heatran's Air Balloon, putting the opponent in a big disadvantaged position in Steel mirror matches.
* Skarmory or Celesteela are mandatory due to them being immune to Ground-types' STAB moves such as Excadrill and Hippowdon, and they can provide support with Spikes and Leech Seed respectively. Skarmory is a great switch-in to physical attackers as well, while Celesteela can pressure Steel-types with Earthquake.
* Choice Scarf Excadrill can help Magnezone deal with Electric- and Fire-types such as Tapu Koko, Rotom-W, Volcanion, and Entei with Earthquake and Rock Slide. It can also serve as a cleaner too. Rapid Spin support from Excadrill can help Magnezone pivot more easily with Volt Switch.
* Spikes support is appreciated by Magnezone, so Ferrothorn and Skarmory are recommended. Ferrothron also helps Magnezone to take care of Ground-types, most notably Swampert, Gastrodon, and Seismitoad.
* Mega Scizor can bring Knock Off utility in removing items off others, deal with special walls that Magnezone has trouble with such as Chansey, and take on Terrakion. Also, Magnezone appreciates Mega Scizor's presence in weakening defensive Pokemon. Doublade can also be used to check Fighting-types like Terrakion, Breloom, Cobalion, and Hawlucha. Both of these Pokemon appreciate Magnezone being able to take out Skarmory.
* Magearna can wallbreak and set Magnezone up for a sweep later on. Alternatively, it can also be a sweeper, which appreciates Magnezone's support in bringing it in or trapping Pokemon like Mega Scizor that wall it.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Steel
--------

* Sturdy can be used to check Sand Rush Excadrill, but it works only when entry hazards are off the field.
* Choice Specs with or without a Modest nature can be used to hit harder, but Magnezone loses the Speed it needs.
* Hidden Power Grass can be used to beat Gastrodon, Seismitoad, and Swampert, but other teammates are better at handling them.

Checks and Counters
===================

Steel
--------

**Alolan Marowak**: Alolan Marowak counters Magnezone completely and immediately threatens Magnezone and its team with the possibility of a Flare Blitz, Shadow Bone, or Earthquake.

**Lanturn**: Lanturn is immune to Electic-type attacks and resists all the other moves Magnezone has. It can also threaten Magnezone with Scald.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types resist Flash Cannon forcing Magnezone to use Volt Switch or Thunderbolt, which makes it become setup fodder for Mega Charizard X. Heatran takes its hits pretty well, and Volcarona can set up on it.

**Ground-types**: Ground-types are immune to Electric-type attacks and so block Magnezone from pivoting around. Gastrodon, Seismitoad, and Excadrill resist Flash Cannon, so they are better checks, although the former two should look out for Hidden Power Grass.

**Faster Pokemon**: Greninja, Starmie, Alakazam, and Choice Scarf users with a higher Speed stat, such as Victini, Kyurem-B, Terrakion, Darmanitan, and Heracross, threaten Magnezone, as they outspeed it.

**Electric-types**: Rotom-C and Rotom-H are solid checks to Magnezone, as they resist its STAB moves. Zapdos has good Special Defense stat to take on any hits from Magnezone.

**Specially Defensive Walls**: Zapdos and Chansey are too bulky for Magnezone to break through due to their high Special Defense stat.

* skarmory is worth talking about on its own. Sets hazards, can use defog, switches into ground and fight ing type moves, may use tailwind. (I don't like Defog Skarmory on Steel because the majority of Steel-types don't really requre it).
* talk about Ferrothorn on its own. Rocks, spikes, helps against ground. (Hazard stacking is nice Skarm + Ferro).
* jirachi as a special wall, spreads paralysis, gets healing wish, may help Magnezone switch in thanks to a slow u-turn (I wouldn't mention Jirachi at all).
* talk about celesteela on its own. Great special sponge, immune to ground, giga drain and energy ball helps against ground (No, there is no point in running these moves on Celesteela when it prefers Earthquake / Flamethrower and when there's already Ferrothorn being able to help Magnezone).

**Hazards**: (Not needed) *

**Magnezone**: (Not needed) *

**Priority**:
(Not really necessary for Magnezone and the main moves that Magnezone would need to watch out for are Fighting priority moves from the likes of Breloom or Infernape when Fighting-types can be added as a check / counter to this analysis).

[Overview]
+ Mention that its Electric typing helps Steel-types in checking Water-types easier and relieves some pressure off Ferrothorn and list a few examples.
+ Talk about how Magnezone's Electric typing makes it a great switch-in to any Thunder Wave user thanks to its immunity to paralysis. Makes it a good status absorber.
+ Magnezone is also one of the best pivots for Steel-types because of its access to Volt Switch.
+ I wouldn't add "For partners like Excadrill and Mega Metagross" I'd just keep that in Team Options. Just say "Steel-types such as Skarmory Celesteela that annoys Steel teams." This is especially good in getting rid of Skarmory on Steel and Flying teams because Skarmory is just a pain to deal with in Steel vs Steel matchups and it also helps in getting rid of Skarmory + Zapdos core too.
+ Mention that Magnezone lacks a good movepool, and its bad coverage moves makes it easier to predict.
+ Add that its lack of Speed and it having to rely on Choice Scarf gets it revenge killed by much faster threats and give examples of a couple.
+ Talk about how its Steel / Electric typing gives it a huge weakness to Ground-types.

[SET COMMENTS]
+ Mention that Volt Switch can help Magnezone escape matches that are unfavorable to it. Something like Mega Venusaur for example.
+ List some examples of Pokemon that Flash Cannon can hit.
+ Mention Hidden Power Ice being able to hit Dragon-types most notably Dragonite.

[Set Details]
+ Add that Choice Scarf allows Magnezone to outspeed Pokemon such as Mega Metagross, Keldeo, and Infernape.
+ I'd remove Sturdy from Set Details.
+ Also you could add that Keldeo is OHKOed by Magnezone at 252 Special Attack as well.

[Usage Tips]
+ Add how useful it is to have entry hazards on the opponent's side. With Volt Switch, it can help pressure them in being forced to stay in and wear down the opposing Pokemon's health even faster due to the constant switching.
+ Mention that Magnezone should be cautious when using an Electric-type move when there's a presence of a Ground-type or any Electric immunity Pokemon like Swampert, Landorus-T, and Lightning Rod Alolan Marowak. Would really suck and it causes Magnezone and its team to lose momentum and is forced to hard switch out.
+ Talk about how important it is to keep entry hazards off the field (most notably Spikes and Sticky Web) both of these would not only ruin Magnezone's use as a pivot but it can't afford to constantly take damage upon switching in from Spikes.
+ Mention that Magnezone shouldn't be using Hidden Power Fire unless it's against Pokemon with a huge weakness to Fire moves
+ I know it's not "that" common but it's good to mention that Magnezone ought to be wary of Shed Shell users (Skarmory and Ferrothorn for example) because that too also causes Magnezone to lose a lot of momentum (been through that before).
+ Magnezone can also be used as a lead too for Volt Switching.

[Team Options]
+ Mention that Skarmory is a great switch-in to physical attackers thanks to its impressive physical bulk. Also good switch to Fighting-types.
+ Celesteela can also check Steel-types with Earthquake, which is really good in running Hidden Power Fire for Magnezone.
+ Choice Scarf Excadrill can help Magnezone deal with Electric- and Fire-types with Earthquake and Rock Slide. Can also serve as a cleaner too. Rapid Spin support from Excadrill can help Magnezone pivot more easily with Volt Switch.
+ Talk about how Mega Metagross is able to check Fighting-types for Magnezone, as well as eliminating Mega Venusaur.
+ Magearna's Fairy typing can break through Dark-types such as Mega Sableye and Hoopa-U.
+ Ferrothorn can take on Ground-types for Magnezone such as Swampert, Gastrodon, and Seismatoad. Good for switching into Ground-types. Also providing Leech Seed support in wearing down threats.
+ Mega Scizor can bring Knock off utility in removing items off others. Mega Scizor can deal with special walls that Magnezone has trouble with such as Chansey and take on Terrakion. Also Magnezone appreciates Mega Scizor (offensive variants) presence in weakening defensive Pokemon.

[Other Options]
+ Add Sturdy here and explain why it's inferior to Magnet Pull. Like, Magnezone would hate to switch in if entry hazards are on the field. It loses out on trapping Steel-types and makes matchups much more exhausting for Steel-types. Priority moves would also ruin its Sturdy ability, Bisharp, Breloom, and Dragonite are good examples.
+ Add Modest nature with Choice Specs as well.
+ Mention that Ferrothorn is better at dealing with those three, which makes Hidden Power Grass less usable.
+ No need to mention Air Balloon Magnezone. There's Skarmory, Celesteela, and Air Balloon Heatran instead.

[Checks / Counters]
+ I'd remove Tornadus-T. Give a couple examples of other Choice Scarf users (Victini, Kyurem-B, etc)
+ Add Fighting-types, Choice Scarf users can outspeed Magnezone Choice Scarf Terrakion and Herracross can KO it. Breloom can take it on with Mach Punch. Kommo-o resist its Electric attacks and can use that to its advantage upon setting up.
+ Fire-types resisting Flash Cannon and Magnezone would have to resort to pivoting out with Volt Switch because none of them are KOed by its Electric attacks Volcarona can use it to set up Quiver Dance with. Heatran creates a problem for it. Mega Charizard X resist both of its STAB moves and can use it as setup fodder of Dragon Dance or KO it with its STAB Fire-type move or Earthquake. Infernape can defeat it with its STAB moves.
+ Add Specially Defensive Pokemon. Magnezone has no way of breaking through them. Zapdos and Chansey are good examples.

Implement anything I agree with for HNBL. Feeny, after you're done, please tag me so I can go through this in case I want to change something for any small nitpicks and I shall give you the 1/3!!!

Nice avatar btw, love Tsukihi!!! *^*

Edit: Just decided to make sure the ones I didn't comment on are not added either.

*Max SpA and Speed is ensured so Magnezone can outspeed most of the metagame and hit as hard as possible, as well as OHKO Keldeo. Seperate speed and special attack, and put speed with choice scarf. It's also not "as well as OHKO keldeo" it's particularly OHKOing keldeo, as OHKOing is a side effect of hitting hard
*Choice Scarf allows Magnezone to outspeed threats such as Keldeo and Infernape.

Usage Tips
========

*It is useful to have entry hazards on the opponent's side. With Volt Switch, it can help pressure them in being forced to stay in and wear down the opposing Pokemon's health even faster due to the constant switching. this bullet is somewhat confusing. Just say it allows magnezone to further punish switching or something.
*Magnezone should be cautious when using an Electric-type move when there's a presence of a Ground-type or any Electric immunity Pokemon like Swampert, Landorus-T, and *Lightningrod Alolan Marowak. It would lose momentum if those Pokemon switched into Electric-type attacks.
*Keeping entry hazards off the field is recommended, as Spikes and Sticky Web hinders Magnezone's performance.
*Switch Magnezone in versus Flying or Steel teams when you expect them to switch to Skarmory or Celesteela and eliminate them.
*Magnezone should be hard switched in whenever you feel the opponent will switch to Landorus, Thundurus, or Gliscor.
*Wear the opposing team down, then use Magnezone to clean with a STAB move.
* Maybe a bullet on shed shell, as it lets skarmory switch out to thundy or lando and steal a lot of momentum?

Team Options
========

*Heatran is absolutely necessary in all Steel teams due to it being a fantastic Stealth Rock user, Fire-type absorber, and a good check to Special Attackers such as.
*Skarmory or Celesteela are mandatory due to them being immune to Ground-types such as, and they can provide support with Spikes and Leech Seed respectively. Skarmory is a great switchin to Physical attackers as well, while Celesteela can pressure Steel types with Earthquake.
*Choice Scarf Excadrill can help Magnezone deal with Electric- and Fire-types such as with Earthquake and Rock Slide. Can also serve as a cleaner too. Rapid Spin support from Excadrill can help Magnezone pivot more easily with Volt Switch.
*Spikes support is appreciated by Magnezone, so Ferrothorn and Skarmory are recommended. Ferrothron also helps Magnezone to take care of Ground-types, most notably Swampert, Gastrodon, and Seismitoad.
*Mega Scizor can bring Knock off utility in removing items off others. Mega Scizor can deal with special walls that Magnezone has trouble with such as Chansey and take on Terrakion. Also Magnezone appreciates Mega Scizor's presence in weakening defensive Pokemon.
*Doublade can be used because it is immune to Fighting-types from pokemon like.

**Lanturn**: Lanturn is immune to Electic-type attack and resists all the other moves Magnezone has. It can also threaten Magnezone with Scald.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types resist Flash Cannon which would mean Magnezone is forced to use Volt Switch or Thunderbolt, which makes it become a setup fodder for Mega Charizard X. Heatran takes its hits pretty well and Volcarona can set up on it.

**Ground-types**: Ground-types are immune to Electric-type attacks and so blocks Magnezone from pivoting around. Gastrodon, Excadrill, Seismitoad resist Flash Cannon so they are better checks. consider expanding this to electric immunities, because Alowak does the same thing and this is also the reason that lanturn checks, plus that's the most important reason that they beat magenzone.

**Faster Pokemon**: Greninja, Starmie, Alakazam, and Choice Scarf users with base Speed stat greater than 60 just say with a higher base speed, such as Victini, Kyurem-Black, Terrakion, Darmanitan, and Heracross threaten Magnezone, as they outspeed it.

**Electric-types**: Rotom-Mow, Rotom-Heat are solid checks to Magnezone, as they resist its STAB moves. Zapdos has good Special Defense stat to take on any hits from Magnezone.

**Specially Defensive Walls**: Zapdos and Chansey are too bulky for Magnezone to break through due to their high Special Defense stat. say pokemon like zapdos and chansey, they aren't the only examples (like goodra).

Steel
========

*Magnezone helps Steel-types in checking Water-types easier and relieves some pressure off Ferrothorn by taking care of Keldeo, Slowbro, and Tapu Fini fairly easily.
*One of the best pivots of the type due to its access to STAB Volt Switch.
*It also is a Thunder Wave sponge, which is the only viable Pokemon other than Excadrill.
*Is one of the few Landorus-I checks the type has.
*Traps and beats Skarmory, which is painful to face with a Steel team otherwise.
*Lacks a good movepool so its coverage is limited.
*Lack of Speed lets it be outsped by Greninja, Mega Aerodactyl, Alakazam, and common *Choice Scarf users such as Excadrill, Heracross, and Terrakion.
*Being 4x weak to Ground means it is almost always a death fodder versus Ground teams.

Overview:
Moves:
- I'd definitely mention what KOs Thunderbolt's extra power gets: Volt Switch cannot OHKO threats such as Volcanion and Keldeo, while Thunderbolt can.

Usage Tips:
- You meant hard switched out I think.
*Magnezone should be hard switched in whenever you feel the opponent will switch to Landorus, Thundurus, or Gliscor.

- Also, going off that above line, you should include something about using Hidden Power Ice to KO lured-in Landorus.
- Mention that Magnezone is a great lead, by using its fast Volt Switch to get out of bad situations if necessary. For example, against Steel teams, Magnezone is a great lead because it can trap the opposing lead and Volt Switch out, almost always guaranteeing the user a momentum boost from the start.
- I'd talk about how spammable Volt Switch is usually. Walls often switch into Magnezone, so Volt Switch can be really useful for jumping to a teammate to beat it.

Team Options:
- Regarding Heatran, mention that Earth Power Air Balloon Heatran is a particularly good set when paired with Magnezone, as Magnezone can Volt Switch to pop an opposing Heatran's Air Balloon and allow your Heatran to easily beat it.
- When you discuss Mega Scizor and Doublade, definitely talk about how both greatly appreciate Magnezone being able to trap Skarmory for them.
- Definitely add Magearna, which can wallbreak and set Magnezone up for a sweep later on. Alternatively, it can also be a sweeper, which appreciates Magnezone's support in bringing it in or trapping Pokemon like Mega Scizor that wall it.

Checks and Counters:
- Mention that those Water / Ground Pokemon should be careful of Hidden Power Grass, which is in Other Options for this exact reason.
- Add Alolan Marowak right above Lanturn. It counters Magnezone completely and immediately threatens it and its team with the possibility of a Flare Blitz or Shadow Bone.

Nicely done! QC 2/3
