This is my first Q&C so please forgive if I made mistakes.

[SET]
Name: Choice Scarf
Move 1: Earthquake
Move 2: Ice Shard
Move 3: Stone Edge
Move 4: Superpower
Item: Choice Scarf
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252Atk/252Spe/4Def

[SET COMMENTS]

Mamoswine is a fearsome Pokemon, boasting the highest Attack stat of all Ice-types. However, Mamoswine's 80 base Speed stat prevents it from sweeping.

With Choice Scarf equipped, Mamoswine reaches 388 Speed if it's Adamant or 426 Speed if Jolly, allowing Mamoswine to outspeed faster Pokemon that are not carrying a Choice Scarf, such as Starmie and Gengar.

Earthquake is the most powerful choice, having a 150 base power including STAB. Ice Shard is used to take out Pokemon that have pirority on them, such as ExtremeSpeed Lucario(When it's on red health) and Mach Punch Infernape. Stone Edge is there to take out Pokemon that are immune to Earthquake, such as Gyarados and Zapdos. Finally, Superpower is chosen to deal with Pokemon that resist all of Mamoswine's moves.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

Ice Fang may be used over Ice Shard for the higher base power, but without Ice Shard Mamoswine could not take out Pokemon with pirority without taking a hit from them. 252 Attack and Speed EVs are used to maximise Mamoswine's offensive stat, while the remaining EVs are placed in Def and not HP, as Mamoswine's base 110 HP is already high. Adamant is preferred as it allows Mamoswine to hit harder, but Jolly could be used to outspeed other Pokemon with higher base speed and carrying a Choice Scarf but with a neutral nature.

Mamoswine appreciates entry hazards support, as that will allow Mamoswine to take out Pokemon easier, such as Blissey, as Adamant Superpower will only deal 60.2% - 71.1% to it.

Mamoswine is weak to the common Fire, Water, Steel and Fighting types, so it's best to pair Mamoswine with those Pokemon that resist all the types mentioned. Gyarados pairs up well with Mamoswine, as Gyarados resist Mamoswine's weaknesses and Mamoswine is immune to Gyarados' 4X Electric weakness. Magnezone could be paired with Mamoswine due to Magnet Pull, but Magnezone will only add to your team's Fire and Fighting weaknesses.

Mamoswine is one of those Pokemon that really doesn't need or want a Choice Scarf to sweep. Since he really lacks a powerful STAB Ice-type attack and instead has an amazing priority move, Ice Shard, to make up for it. Much like Scizor, Mamoswine sweeps with access to priority (despite not being Technician-boosted). Another problematic issue is that a Choice Scarf-boosted Ice Shard is not actually that powerful; it isn't really capable of threatening opposing priority users like Scizor, Lucario, and Infernape. The only two it really nails are Breloom and Dragonite. That said, without the power of a Choice Band and prediction on your side, Mamoswine's other STAB is horrific to get locked into and is so easy to take advantage of. This isn't like Flygon because Flygon gets U-turn and a Dragon-type STAB with amazing neutral coverage for sweeping. Mamoswine doesn't have that luxury.

I've tried this set before, and I can safely say that it is not viable enough to merit discussion in a full set. This is already mentioned in OC on Mamoswine's analysis, and that is where it should stay.

I've actually been looking to create a Mamoswine set, but this one doesn't really work. It doesn't really have the same power under it than say a CS Heatran Fire Blast. It's STABs on this thing are 40 BP, and 100 BP but easy to get around. This just seems like set-up fodder. For instance, if a Gyarados decided to come in on an EQ or -1 Superpower, it could set-up a free DD.

I like the idea, but it just doesn't work.

Its useless to use this over the CBer or LO set. It has a STAB Priority move in Ice Shard which hits plenty hard on what it needs to, and its weak or neutral to every form of priority anyway so its not like priority users are going to have problems taking him out.

I really don't see the use of this set. Mamoswine already has an excellent option for beating Pokemon faster than it, Ice Shard, and it shouldn't even be facing those Pokemon that resist Ice Shard and outspeed it to be quite honest. The Choice Band set just does the job of revenge killing better.

My 2 cents.

OC is Choice Scarf's place in Mamoswine's onsite analysis. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to reject this. Don't hesitate to post other sets in the future, though.
