Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Welcome everybody to my arena. I am Zant, and will be your host for tonight. Now then, let's just hope, for their sakes, that they do a good job.
Before we begin though, let's see what everyone brought with them shall we? Whimsicott seems to have Brought a Shield with her, which is alright I suppose. Garchomp on the other hand has brought a Battleaxe with him. This ought to be good. Kitsunoh inexplicably brings nothing, blasted pacifist. Finally, we see Alakazam with a Bow.
Well, Alakazam was about to use some kind of combo, but this idiot ref here decided that combos won't work with a bow. Idiot. At least he was able to Shadow Ball the Kitsunoh. Whimsicott decides to be a giant jerk and creates clones of himself. A little narcissistic maybe? Well, Kitsunoh ignores Whimsicott and focuses on taking Alakazam down, and uses a Faint Attack to bring his point across. Finally, Garchomp is able to move and hits...one of Whimsicott's clones with a Dragon Claw. Great job you dolt.
Alakazam puts that Bow to good use again, and launches an Energy Ball on Garchomp, who doesn't appreciate the damage at all. Kitsunoh then rams Alakazam with an Iron Head that finishes him off! Nice going Kit. Whimsicott tries to cool off and recover come energy with a Chill. Garchomp takes this opportunity to...completely miss with a Fire Fang. You didn't even hit the clone you idiot!
Well, after this wreck of a round, the one I judge to be the worst is...Garchomp. Seriously man, how do you get a NEGATIVE score and miss both of your attacks? Idiot. Well, taste a Hidden Power Grass Special!
*BAM*

Alright! What an exciting round. Now then, I've already got the next venue planned out, so while I get the plane, Nora will debrief you all on the next arena!
"Okay then, I've recieved word that we're apparently heading to Madagascar for our next arena. This should be nice and relaxing for our competitors considering the craziness that has gone on so far. Now then, for Madagascar."
Next Arena: Mada-KSSSK!
WHAT HAPPENED TO MY PLANE!
"NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition!"
The Spanish what now?!
Event Arena: The Spanish Inquisition Arena
Oh this can't be good, apparently some wackos in red uniforms claiming to be the Spanish Inquisition have taken the plane that's supposed to be taking the contestants to the next arena. After barging into the place, the contestants all find a rather unusual arena, and hear a (supposedly) ominous voice echoing through the place.
"Muahahahaha. You fools have fallen right into our trap! You see, our two weapons are fear and surprise...or surprise and fear or perhaps fear and toast. No that can't be it. Anyway, if you want your precious plane back, you'll have to do a few things for me!"
The contestants then noticed the arena. It is a very strange place. The arena is a castle like building with red curtains lining the walls with this group's sigil spammed on it. You're fully indoors, so no Solarbeams or weather or the like. For that matter, the arena is artifical, so Energy Ball will be nerfed. Aside from that all moves can be used. Unfortunately, everything in this arena is completely backwards! All pokemon move at a turn order opposite of their speeds, and even priority moves are flipped flopped (e.g. Prankster moves will be at -1 Priority, Bullet punch will also be at -1 Priority). Pokemon gain energy rather than lose energy when using moves (in the case of STAB moves, the effect is +1 energy gained). Additionally, all typing effectiveness is reversed. Steel now resists fire, and is the worst defensive typing in the game. Grass is now weak to Water, etc. Thankfully, it seems immunities are unaffected. This looks kind of bad.
Summary: Indoors Arena
No Natural environment
Constant Trick Room (Even affects priority)
Pokemon gain energy when using moves
All type effectiveness is reversed (i.e. Psychic resists Dark.)
Immunities stay the same (i.e. Ghosts are still immune to Normal type moves unless hit with Foresight)
Challenge: Use different types of attacking moves.
"You see, what I want you to do is simple. I've been watching you...and this battle has become just plain boring. As such, I've made this arena to test your skills. Now, I also have reason to believe that you're religious dissidents, therefore I will destroy anyone crazy enough to use either a non-attacking move, or a move of the same type (i.e. Grass, Water, etc). Anyone who doesn't fulfill this requirement will be forced into the COMFY CHAIR and tortured. Understand? Good."
Oh you've gotta be kidding me, he interrupts the competition for this?
"Well, you would've made an arena like this eventually I'm sure." said Nora
I suppose you're right...
Turn order:
Waterwarrior automatically sends out Swampert
Everyone PM's me orders
I ref on time this time!
Welcome everybody! I am your host today, the magnificent leader of the Spanish Inquisition! You know, those people you never expect. Now lets see if our additions to this match have spiced it up any!
Well, the dissident Kitsunoh forgot about Revenge being a -4 Priority move normally, so now it's a +4 Priority move which does pitiful damage to Garchomp. Hahaha. We should tie him to the rack, later. Swampert however hits Whimsicott with a super effective Waterfall attack. At least he knows what he's doing! Garchomp makes an Earthquake that hits everyone on the field. Boring. Finally Whimsicott uses Giga Drain which does massive damage to Kitsunoh, restoring plenty of energy and health in the process. Cheater.
Ahem, anyway Swampert starts the next one off with an Earthquake that does lots of damage to everyone, while Garchomp tries a Stone Edge on Whimsicott. Whimsicott uses the now super effective Hidden Power Fire to then roast Garchomp to a crisp and faint him. Kitsunoh tries to Iron Head Garchomp, but ran into the wall.
Well, these idiots can't tell the difference between marble and granite, so let's see how long they last against...what the...

This time Maxim has come up with one of his more...interesting arenas. Here you're at a place in...China I think...where some of the greatest dynasties lived. This arena is a beautiful marble arena, with stairs leading down to the entrance gate, and a nice moat all around. Of course, with a name like the Forbidden Palace, you know there's going to be trouble. You see, the spirits of those who used to guard this place are angry at our intrusion, and they'll stop at nothing to get us out. The locals are also angry at our intrusion. The spirit guards are taking an active role in the battle, by stabbing a random pokemon per turn! You see, the way this works is that they choose a number between 1 and 3, and that determines how many pokemon they hit for 10 damage flat! The angry crowd has the choice of throwing one of three items at every pokemon at the beginning of the round.
Rice: This will get into the Pokemons' eyes and make their next moves have -20% flat accuracy. In the case of a perfect accuracy move being used, this will instead do 5 damage. Debris: Each pokemon takes 7 damage. Flaming Cocktail: This drink will really hurt our contestants, as it gives them the equivalent of a burn for that action (will disappear after the action) and deal 3 damage for the next 3 rounds of combat. This damage is increased to 5 if the pokemon has Guts or a similar ability.
Can our contestants hope to survive? Probably not.
Summary:
Ghost guards deal 5 damage to random targets each round
Angry crowd throws one of three items towards all pokemon (Note: This is NOT audience participation)
All moves allowed
Turn order:
Elevator Music automatically sends out Milotic and gives an item
Everyone PM's me Actions
Typon has officially forefited. If you wish to change actions due to this, then please send me a PM with the new orders. Otherwise, just VM me that your orders are the same.
Round 13: You know, 13 is usually my lucky number, but everything's fallen to pieces.
Yeah...I just want this to be done with. Maybe once this is over I'll edit in all the flavor I missed, but until then I'm forgoing flavor for the rest of this match.
