McGillicuddy's Bazaar - A trade shop by Hozu and Eyedol (now with some 6th gen)

Status
Not open for further replies.
#1
My 6th gen stuff is listed in my 3rd post. At the present time, Eyedol doesn't have any 6th gen Pokémon for trade.

Rules
1) Read and follow the Wi-Fi forum rules - particularly the Cloning/Hacking/AR/Pokesav/Emulators and the Trading Thread Rules sections.
2) I don't give out my Pokémon for free, nor do I require any kind of services; I want only Pokémon in return.
3) Do not offer me anything that is freely available from anywhere.
4) I do not want Pokémon from an emulator. I'd rather get it myself.
5) Trades must be done by Wi-Fi only - I'm not going around the prohibition of .pkm file trading.
6) People on the Blacklist or ICBB status will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
7) You MUST have a trade thread here at Smogon, or otherwise be trusted by the Smogon community to trade with me.
8) You must demonstrate the ability to do RNG abuse by having your own stuff in your thread. I prefer getting Pokémon from the person that actually did the work.
9) Unless stated otherwise, my Pokémon are non-redistributable forever, even if I stop trading forever. No exceptions.

Notes:
1) I'm rather tough to trade with, because I have very few interests due to being able to get almost everything. Don't take it personally if I decline your offer.
2) I use www.pokecheck.org for transferring to previous generation Pokémon to 5th gen.
3) All of my Pokémon will be cloned by either AR code from flashcart, or from a fakeGTS service.
4) For my flashcart saves I use various AR codes such as cloning, 100% catch rate, check IVs/EVs, etc. I have used warp codes in 3rd gen saves for certain in-game events.
5) I will nickname anything that doesn't already have a nickname, or is from XD Gale of Darkness.
6) I do not want events unless I ask specifically for one.

Format:
-For IVs: 31 is bold, 30 is italicized, IVs for Hidden Power is underlined, and any IV under 4 is in red. The non-attacking stat is greyed out. IVs are listed in the following order: HP/Attack/Defense/Special Attack/Special Defense/Speed.
-For moves: Egg moves are italicized, and previous gen Move Tutor and TM moves are in bold. I will use how the move was learned in the generation it was bred in (eg: my 4th gen Riolu has Vacuum Wave. It is a 4th gen Move Tutor move but 5th gen egg move. Since it was bred in 4th gen it is considered a Move Tutor move).
-For name: The first name will be the Pokémon's current name while the species is obvious. denotes shiny. The original owner only will apply for traded Pokémon.
-For ball: If there is no ball assume it's a standard Poké Ball.

These pokémon are ones that I have decided to retire from trading. Either I've obtained better, they are from an emulator. I am only listing them for record purposes.

Tips for hitting very high frames
-You need an accurate, consistent timer. EonTimer works very well.
-Use Task Manager to set the priority for EonTimer to high.

Frames to generate from pressing A - Emerald:
Deoxys - 500 frames
Regice - 102 frames
Regirock - 102 frames
Registeel - 78 frames
Latias (Southern Island) - 404 frames (untested)
Latios (Southern Island) - 431 frames
Rayquaza - 95 frames
Beldum - 4 frames (after selecting Yes from the Yes/No option)
Ho-Oh - 377 frames (pressing up while facing up)
Lugia - 375 frames
Groudon - 287 frames (pressing up while facing up)
Kyogre - 283 frames (pressing up while facing up)

Frames to generate from pressing A - R/S:
ID/SID - 75 frames (thanks GoldenBanana)
Kyogre (Sapphire) - 654 frames
Groudon (Ruby) - 654 frames
Rayquaza - 2 frames
Regis (all 3): 56 frames
Beldum - 167 frames
Latias (Southern Island) - 404 frames
Latios (Southern Island - 431 frames

Possible plan to implement RTC searcher

-Find a way to get dates from a given seed. Looking at the formula I can't see an easy way to do this. The only way I can see this being done is to brute force seeds from all dates. This way every date/time from Jan 1 2000 00:00 until... whenever (current date?) will be associated with a seed. Since the results are static they can be stored in a file. Whether the file is to be generated by the user or included as a download depends on the size of the file.

-Enter a seed and have a search for all dates that can give that seed. Then allow for subsequent searches where one enters a seed and the time (in minutes?) since the last seed. Then search for dates that work with the second seed and is the entered time ahead of the last seed. Repeat until a single date is returned. Have the full current date/time from the start entered so there can be a real date associated with Jan 1 2000 from the RTC (relative to the current RTC time). That would help with searching for future dates for seeds. Wouldn't be a good idea to pull the current system time for when a seed is entered as it's extremely unlikely for one to get the starting seed from a retail game and enter it within one minute.

-Have a date searcher for a given seed. Or have a seed searcher for a given spread, which in turn searches for a date. Of course there are multiple possible seeds for a spread depending on how many frames one is willing to wait so I think having a spread to seed searcher should be separate from a seed to date searcher. In any case Kaphotics has that lua script that can search for seeds given a starting PRNG value (one can use this to find the PRNG value immediately before a desired spread).

Concerns: How does the RTC store the time? The most logical way to store time is Unix time but there doesn't seem to be a way to tell for sure. Unix time would account for leap years but if it's 32bit signed the RTC will roll over in 2038 (like a R/S cart will be useful 38 years after being made...). The RAM stores the RTC value when it's used for seeding (not sure if it updates throughout gameplay or not). See this.

R/S seeding function - note that the default date appears to be Jan 1, 2000 (or 2001?) at midnight.

B/W2 egg stupidity

nidorans and volbeat/illumise breeding aren't done the same way anymore. in bw1, they were done with normal rng call, but in bw2, they use and inline copy of the rng and a different state that is stored in ram along with the daycare pkms. it looks like "01 pkm1 9f 01 pkm2 9f 01 rng state 9f 01 something 9f" as one long block in ram.

i'm still figuring it out, but here's nidoran breeding as an example:

the inline rng call used for nidoran and volbeat is based on a seed generated when you first set up your character on starting the game for the first time. this is due to an error on gamefreak's part, however. each time the game starts, this seed should be unique. this function runs on every boot:

Code:
RAM_ARM9:0200C49C ; =============== S U B R O U T I N E =======================================
RAM_ARM9:0200C49C
RAM_ARM9:0200C49C

RAM_ARM9:0200C4A0 BL MersenneTwisterHandler__
RAM_ARM9:0200C4A4 MOVS R4, R0
RAM_ARM9:0200C4A6 MOVS R6, #0
RAM_ARM9:0200C4A8 BL MersenneTwisterHandler__
RAM_ARM9:0200C4AC MOVS R2, R4

RAM_ARM9:0200C4BE POP  {R4-R6,PC}
RAM_ARM9:0200C4BE ; End of function eggSeed
and it writes the 8-byte seed to 2225E70. however, right after this, the old seed is read into the same spot. the game reads in the save data into the svc stack and then copies the memory into place, overwriting the new seed with the one that was first created. what should happen is that the egg data and rng state should be loaded from the cart then copied into place THEN that function should run and overwrite the old seed with the new one. they happen in the wrong order and thus, you end up stuck with the same seed every time. this also explains the 2 mersenne twister calls that happen on every boot, causing it to always start at 3.
Bond697;4306691 said:
so uh, it's not just illumise and nidoran. everything bred is done with inline rng calls using that rng state that never changes unless you start a new game. inheritance, nature, etc etc etc, everything. the only thing that isn't is the extra rolls for shiny charm and masuda method.

e: turns out it's for everything important except for pids. and thankfully they get it right after the first egg and the game reseeds the egg state from the mersenne twister. not that it matters as generating a second egg throws everything off due to walking around, npcs, etc.
And then...

PoJ's guides
Hey there! I noticed there was a lack of a step-by-step ID/SID guide for BW, so I decided to write this one. This guide is supposed to be very user friendly, so I hope you can successfully abuse your ID/SID using just this guide! I also included a short part about obtaining a shiny starter. :]

Prerequisites:

  • RNG Reporter 9.92 or newer, of course.
    • RNG Reporter 9.94 or later is required if you're on a DSi! Pandora's Box is incorrect for DSi users in versions earlier than 9.94.
  • A Pokemon Black or White game cartridge/emulator.
  • A DS, DS Lite, DSi, or 3DS.
    • Make sure you have your parameters!
  • A basic understanding of how to hit a Standard Seed.
    • This is important!

Alright, once you have these things we can move on. Here comes the hard stuff. /me is being sarcastic

Step 1: Finding an IV Seed!

First of all, you need to find an IV spread that you want to have shiny. Open up RNG Reporter and go into the Time Finder.

*** If you're only abusing for a specific ID number and you don't care about lower shiny spreads (i.e. for a cool TID number), you can skip directly to step 3! Look for the ***'s once you get to step 3, since most of this guide is for people who want to abuse for shinyness.

This is how you'd set up the search. Pick a year, month, and min/max IV frame. If you want a shiny starter, your IV frame MUST be 1. This is because there's no way to advance the IV frame that early in the game. An IV frame of 1 is generally recommended because it makes RNG abuse so much easier. However, it's not necessary unless you want a shiny starter. Make sure the method is Method 5 Standard Seed, and choose your desired encounter type. Wild Pokemon is probably the best, because it works for almost all of the other encounters (and it works for starters). Leave the encounter slot at any. Then, fill in your desired IV spread. Pay no attention to anything on the right! It doesn't matter. Make sure your parameters are entered in the Time Finder correctly before you start the search!

Once you find a seed, you'll be ready for the next step. If you don't find a seed with your desired IVs, try a different month.

Step 2: Choosing a PID Frame to be Shiny!

You found an IV seed, right? Good! Now you have to choose a PID frame from that seed to be shiny (PID determines nature, gender, ability, encounter slot, shinyness).

Copy the seed, and go back to the main window of RNG Reporter.

Change the method to Method 5 PID RNG, then paste the seed in the main window. Next, click the button on the right that says "Calculate Initial PIDRNG Frame". Finally, generate the list of PID Frames. I showed you the steps in order above, just to make it easier (I'm a visual learner myself, and pictures make things a lot easier to understand).

Now that you have a list of PID frames, you need to choose one of them that you want to be shiny. You need to consider nature, ability, encounter slot, and gender if you're that picky. Please note that the bold natures are synchronizable, so even if there's a bold nature without the nature you want, it is still possible to get your desired nature because you just need to have a Pokemon with the ability Synchronize. If you're looking for a shiny starter, I recommend a frame in the 60s or 70s. If not, pick anything you'd like, but also consider wandering NPCs. You don't want to pick a frame that's too low. Once you have chosen a frame, we can move on to the next step. =D

Step 3: Finding an ID Seed!

*** If you're not looking to abuse your ID/SID for shinyness, skip this paragraph and go to the next one! Again, look for the ***'s

I decided to go with frame 60 because it has a syncable nature, a nice encounter slot, and it's female for all gender ratios (I've always wanted a female starter). In this step, we need to find an ID seed to hit. Let's go into Pandora's Box now! To get to Pandora's Box, go to the main window of RNG Reporter and look for 5th Gen Tools at the top. Choose Pandora's Box from the drop down menu.

Once you're in PBox, make sure your parameters are entered correctly. Where it says "Search By" , check the box next to seed and paste your seed there. Then, in the box directly under, type in the PID frame that you want to be shiny. In my example, I wanted frame 60 shiny, so that's what I put in the text box. If you want a specific date, go to the seed finder part and change it. All the way on the right, make the min Frame 30 (Ignore the picture; it says 28) and the max 40. Now, click "Find ID Seeds" and wait for the search to finish.

*** Check the box that says TID and enter in the TID you want. Change the min frame on the far right to 30 and the max to 40, and if you want a specific date then change it. Then hit find ID seeds and wait for the search to end. From this point on, the steps are more or less the same for anyone who wants shinyness and anyone who just wants a specific TID.

Once the search finishes, you should have a list of ID seeds. Search through them and pick one with an ID/SID you like. Ignore the initial frame column, because that's wrong sometimes. A target frame of 30-40 is good. Something lower might be a bit risky. Also, keep in mind that if you want a shiny starter, make sure the starter column says "True". Pick a seed, and move on to the next step, where I'll teach you how to hit this ID seed! :D

Step 4: Hitting Your ID Seed!

Just re posting that picture so you can use it as a reference. Ok, so I'm going to use the seed I picked as an example. I would go about hitting this seed just like a regular Standard seed. Set the time and date, begin the game 1 second early, hold keypresses, blah blah blah. But, with ID/SID abuse in BW, there's an ID Frame involved. Looking at PBox, my target frame is 28. I have to completely ignore the initial frame column because it could very well be wrong, so I'll have to calibrate to find my initial frame. Here's how you would do that:

Hit the seed like you normally would, and go through the entire process thing with Juniper. Make sure you don't say no to her when she asks for your name, because this would advance the ID Frame by 1 (It only advances if you say no about your name, not gender)! Once you're in the game and you can check your ID, do that. Now go back to PBox:

We need to use the seed finder to find out what seed and frame we hit. Enter the ID you got, the date/time of your seed, etc. Make the min frame 25, maybe 20ish (again, ignore the picture. It says 28 but make it lower), and the max 40. Then click find seed hit, and look at the results that appear. If you got a result that has the same seconds and timer0 as your target seed, then look at the frame it has. That is your initial frame. If you didn't hit your seed, you most likely just missed your timer0. Just try again! But, what if you did hit your seed, and your initial frame is higher than your target frame? You'll have to pick a new seed. This is why I recommended something with a frame of 30 or higher!

Now that you found your initial frame just repeat the seed hitting process, except this time make sure you advance the frame accordingly. For example, if my initial frame was 25 and my target is 28, I would say no to Juniper about my name 3 times, and if I didn't miss my timer0, I would have gotten my target ID! That's all there is too it. Quite simple if you ask me :)

If you want a shiny starter, read on! And make sure you save right before you choose your starter.

Optional: Shiny Starter!

Remember this seed we found? Well, in order to get our shiny starter, we now need to hit this seed! Similar to the ID seed, we need to hit a target PID frame (the one we picked to be shiny, in my case, PID frame 60). But before we can do that, we need to calibrate to find our initial PID Frame! Here's how:

We basically want the same set up we had before, when we were picking which PID frame to be shiny. Except, make the starting frame (the text box right above where we pasted our seed) about 10 frames lower than what's in there. This is because when abusing starter's, the initial frame tends to be before the initial frame that RNG Reporter calculated. Now hit generate.

What you want to do is just hit your IV seed like a normal standard seed (make sure you're saved in front of the gift box). Once you get into the game, pick your wanted starter right away. Get through the battles with Cheren and Bianca as quickly as possible, and then look at your Pokemon's summary and determine if you hit your seed. If you got a good characteristic (often dozes off, likes to thrash about, capable of taking hits, mischievous, somewhat vain, or alert to sounds all signify a flawless stat) then you most likely hit your seed. If not, you missed your timer0, so just re hit your seed until you do get a good characteristic. Once you do, look at the nature and gender (although, the gender will mostly be male) and match it to a PID frame you generated on RNG Reporter. For example, if I got a male Serious Oshawott, my initial frame would be 54. If you got a female, you could check which frames are female by looking at the 12.5%F column, since starters have a 12.5% female rate.

Once you find your initial frame, hit your seed again and advance the frame by saving. Each save equals 1 PID frame advancement. I would do 6 saves because my initial was 54 and my target was 60. If you hit your timer0 and did the right number of saves, you should end up with a shiny starter!

The End
That's it, I hope this guide was of assistance to you! If there's anything I missed or anything you think I should explain better, please let me know!

Thanks so much to all of Smogon's researchers, RNG abuse wouldn't be possible without them!

Hello! Safari Zone is often regarded as one of the most annoying types of RNG abuse because the Pokemon you'll encounter was basically impossible to predict. But thanks to ToastPlusOne and Winters Zombie, there are now encounter slots for the Safari Zone! In this guide, I'll teach you how to catch Pokemon from the Safari Zone using these encounter slots.

Prerequisites:

Introduction to the basics - How to hit your seed and target frame.

You should know how to hit your seed and advance your frame, but the Safari Zone is a bit different. You still hit your delay and advance your frame the same way, but since you can't save inside the Safari Zone, you have to save before you enter the Safari Zone. So make sure you have your areas all set up where you want them and all your blocks laid out. Also bring a synchronizer if you need it. Then go up to the man you pay to get inside, and save. Next, just keep attempting to hit your seed and verify with Elm calls. Once you hit your seed and you verified it talk to the man and pay him.

The beautiful thing about the Safari Zone is that there are no NPCs, so you won't experience any erratic frame advancements! The only frame advancements that won't happen on purpose is if you trigger the 128 step counter. That will advance the frame by however many Pokemon you have in your party. Anyways, once you're in the SZ (Safairi Zone; I'll be calling it the SZ from now on) walk over to the grass patch or tiny pond and advance your frame like usual. Once you get to the correct frame, Sweet Scent and you should have gotten your target.

However, in some cases, even if you hit your target frame, you will not get your desired nature and IVs (but you'll still get the same encounter slot). This is because the Safari Zone Pokemon are generated by a method slightly different from Method K that still has not been researched thoroughly. Once more research is done, it will be added to RNG Reporter so that it generates Safari Zone frames correctly. Don't worry, though. Most nature and IV combos will be attainable.

But what if you hit your spread, and didn't get the Pokemon you wanted? Don't fret. I'll teach you how to use the encounter slots. Or you could just keep trying to hit a different target frame until you get your desired Pokemon, but why waste your time?

**There are no encounter slots for Pokemon found by fishing or surfing. ToastPlusOne never mapped them out. So you'll have to just hit different frames to see if your seed has the correct slot for your target Pokemon.**

Encounter slots - How to find out the slot for each frame!
*Might not be needed in the future, because RNG Reporter might be able to calculate them correctly for you!**

First thing, open up the SZ encounter slot tables. Now, while it's true that the encounter slots have been mapped out, there is no way to calculate the encounter slot of a specific frame (as of now). So, the first step of using the encounter slots is to figure out the encounter slot of your target frame(s). I'll show you how to do this now!

Go to the SZ encounter slots and choose "Plains" as the area. Ignore the Priority Table part (I'll get into that later). Notice how every encounter slot for the Plains area has a different Pokemon + Level combination. What you're going to do is change your SZ so that the Plains is the first area you walk into. Bring your synchronizer, sweet scenter, what ever you need, and save in front of the man who you pay. Hit your seed, get into the SZ, go into a patch of grass, and start calling Elm to figure out what frame you're on. Advance to the right frame you need to be at and then use sweet scent.

Do your best to catch the Pokemon and verify that you hit your frame (100% capture code is very helpful here, but it's not required at all). If the Pokemon gets away, just assume that you hit your frame. Now, look at the encounter slot table. What Pokemon did you get? Was it a level 16 Ratatta? Then the encounter slot for your target frame is 3! Was it a level 17 Abra? Then your encounter slot for your target frame is 7! Pretty self-explanatory.

I recommend finding the encounter slot for all of your possible target frames (some seeds have PIDs and IVs that repeat on different frames but have different encounter slots) so you have a wide variety of options.

If you're not planning to catch block Pokemon, then you basically have everything you need to know. That's because once you find your slots for each frame, the slots will stay the same for every SZ area. That means that if you have slot 8 on frame 13, and you go to the Savannah area and hit frame 13, you'll get a Tauros!

But what if you do want block Pokemon? That's where the priority tables come in!

Encounter slots - How to use the priority tables!
*Might not be needed in the future, because RNG Reporter might be able to calculate them correctly for you!**

You have your blocks set in the right area, you've waited the required amount of days, yet you don't know how to use the priority table, right? Well let's fix that! I'll be using an example to explain the priority table.

In this example, let's say I'm using a seed that has an encounter of 2 on frame 23. And I want a Gible from the Rocky Beach area. Let's go to the Rocky Beach area on the encounter slot tables. Look at the priority table, and notice that Gible is listed as "3". What does this mean?

There are 4 different types of blocks, and each Pokemon requires a different type and number of each. When you place the blocks for a single Pokemon, that Pokemon takes up Slot 0. But once you place blocks that yield more than one Pokemon, then priority comes into play and determines which Pokemon takes slot 0, which pokemon takes slot 1, and so on. Here's the priority: Plains blocks -> Forest blocks -> Peak blocks -> Water blocks.

Looking at the priority table for Rocky Beach, Dodrio and Electrike are listed before Gible. If you go to Serebii's Pokearth, you see that Dodrio and Electrike both require plains objects. But since Dodrio needs less, it is the first priority. So if you placed 10 plains blocks, Dodrio would take up Slot 0 and Electrike would be Slot 1. Now if we take a look at Gible, it needs 13 plains and 17 peak. So how come he's listed before Mareep? It has something to do with the fact that Gible requires Plains objects, and Plains are always first. With Pokemon that require two different block types, it's kind of hard to explain their priority. For example, Bagon needs 9 forest objects and 19 peak objects, but it is listed after all the Pokemon that require peak objects, even though forest comes before peak. So when in doubt, just look at the priority table. Moving on!

If we placed 13 plains objects and 17 peak objects, then Gible would end up on Slot 2. This is because Dodrio and Electrike will be present because of the plains blocks that Gible requires. Dodrio takes slot 0 because it's 1st priority, Electrike takes slot 1 because it's 2nd priority, and Gible would become slot 2 because it's 3rd priority. The rest of the Pokemon that appear because of Gible's peak objects don't really matter, because they're all on encounter slots after Gible. So then I would advance to my target frame that has the encounter slot of 2, and Gible will appear!

Usually, you would be able to manipulate the slot of the block Pokemon you wanted, but with Gible that's not the case, so I used a bad example. Let's try another one so I can show you how to manipulate the slots of a block Pokemon. We'll use the same area, Rocky Beach. This time I'll have an encounter slot of 4 instead of 2. My target Pokemon will be Manectric. Manectric needs 10 forest blocks. How will I get it all the way to slot 4?!

Ok, so you place the 10 forest blocks. You end up with Mareep in slot 0 (since it needs 5 forest blocks) and Manectric in slot 1. So, let's manipulate these slots! If you place 10 plains objects, you get Dodrio and Electrike involved. Dodrio will always take up slot 0 because it's 1st priority. Electrike becomes slot 1, Mareep becomes slot 2, and Manectric becomes slot 3. In order to push Manectric up one more slot, you need to place Gible's objects (and wait the required amount of days). So then Dodrio would be slot 0, Electrike will be 1, Gible will be 2, Mareep will be 3, and Manectric will be 4! Then I'd just advance to my target frame and Manectric will appear. You can't push Manectric up anymore slots because you've already made all the Pokemon before Manectric on the priority table appear. But Pokemon that need Peak or Water objects are generally easier to get onto the slot you want, because there are more Pokemon before them on the priority table so you can push them up more. But those Pokemon are harder to get on lower slots because they usually cause some other Pokemon to appear when you place their required blocks. For example, Gible. When you put down Gible's required blocks, Dodrio and Electrike would appear all the time no matter what. So Gible cannot be on a slot lower than 2.

And that's it! Very easy, really. The hardest part is catching the Pokemon or waiting the amount of days.

[a]prereq[/a]Prerequisites

Before you delve deeper into this guide, make sure you have the following:
  • RNG Reporter 9.96 Alpha 6 or later (later is recommended if released, because at the time of writing this guide, alpha 6 is the most recent).
    • Download 9.96 public beta from the 5th gen. PRNG Help Thread once it is released, because there is a small bug in Alpha 6.
    • Mac users: This guide does not have directions for PPRNG users. Use ReligiousJedi's guide if you are using a Mac.
  • Eon Timer v1.6.
  • A basic understanding of Entralink abuse.
    • Reading Sephirona's Entralink abuse guide is highly recommended. Having experience with 4th generation RNG abuse is also helpful.
  • Any DS system with a Pokemon Black or White cartridge.
    • Make sure you have a Pokemon in the Entree Forest.
    • You also need your DS parameters.
  • A way to find exact IVs.
    • Some rare candies will make this so much easier, so try to find as many as you can.

[a]intro[/a]Introduction

Entralink abuse is the ugly side of fifth generation RNG manipulation. It requires you to hit a delay, similar to fourth generation RNG. But that's not even the ugliest part. Up until now, nobody knew how to manipulate the nature of Entralink Pokemon, so catching the perfect Pokemon from the Entree Forest could take hours, days, or even weeks depending on your luck. But thanks to Smogon's great researchers, Entralink RNG abuse became a whole lot easier. It's still a bit of a nuisance, but this guide was created to make it as easy as possible.

[a]specs[/a]
The C-Gear and the PIDRNG

The C-Gear is what made Entralink PID abuse complicated. In order to catch your Pokemon from the Entree Forest, you need to turn on the C-Gear and enter the Entralink. Then, go into the Entree Forest and interact with your Pokemon. Selecting "yes" when you are asked to add the Pokemon to your party is when the IVs and PID of the Pokemon are determined. Once you turn on the C-Gear, however, it begins advancing the PID frame (which determines the nature) and it won't stop until your turn it off. This is similar to trying to RNG abuse in an area with many NPCs; your PID frame is constantly being messed with. So, how are you supposed to hit a target PID frame? Basically what you have to do is select "yes" at a specific time. The C-Gear advances the PID frame by approximately one frame per second. With the help of Eon Timer and RNG Reporter, you can time yourself just right and be able to consistently hit your target nature.

One final thing to note is that the C-Gear seed does not determine the PID frames, the two are completely separate. The standard seed is what determines the PID frames. Therefor, you need to hit both a C-Gear seed and a Standard seed to get your target IVs and nature. This may seem a bit complicated, but it's actually fairly simple. It will be explained more later on.

[a]find[/a]Finding C-Gear Seeds

The first step of any type of RNG abuse is finding seeds. Open up RNG Reporter and open the 5th generation Time Finder. Since the C-Gear has to be turned on in order to get to the Entralink, you need to search for C-Gear seeds. The C-Gear seed will determine the IVs of your Pokemon.

First, select the correct profile at the top. Change the method to IVs (C-Gear Seed). The encounter type doesn't matter, so just leave that alone. Specify the IVs you would like, then enter a delay range and a frame range. A minimum delay of 3000 or 4000 is recommended; anything lower might have you rushing. Your maximum delay is personal preference, but the lower you make it, the less seeds you will find. The minimum frame should always be 21 (this is the initial frame for Entralink Pokemon) and the maximum frame can be whatever you prefer. 21 is the initial frame because interacting with the Pokemon in the Entree forest advances the frame. Here's a good explanation from OmegaDonut:
OmegaDonut;3467441 said:
Little Entralink tidbit:

The act of talking to a Pokemon in the forest advances the IVRNG 26 frames. The IV generation is included in this, so a Pokemon effectively starts on frame 23 (which is RNG Reporter's frame 21). If you say no to encountering the Pokemon, the IVRNG advances will happen anyway. You can quickly and easily advance the IVRNG by talking to a Pokemon and refusing to encounter it.

For example --

First thing I do when enter the forest is talk to a Pokemon. If I catch it, it will have the IVs corresponding to RNG Reporter's frame 21.
If I say no, then talk to it again to capture it, it will have IVs corresponding to RNG Reporter's frame 47 (21 + 26).
The only time you should use this method of advancement is if you can't find a seed with a convenient target frame. Finally, hit generate.

Once you find some seeds, pick one to use. Usually, the seed with the lowest frame and delay is the most convenient option. You can check the delay of each seed by right clicking it, and selecting Generate More Times. The new window that pops up is called the Seed to Time window. After you pick the seed you'd like to use, open the Seed to Time window for it. You will be using this later.

[a]standard[/a]Finding Standard Seeds for your C-Gear Seed

Now that you've selected a C-Gear seed to use, you need to generate standard seeds for that C-Gear seed. In order to do this, right click your seed in the time finder and select Generate Entralink Nature Seeds. Since standard seeds are determined when you enter the game, you will always hit a standard seed, even when you're trying to hit a C-Gear seed. Take a look at the Seed to Time window. Notice all the date, time, and delay combos. Those target times are what you need to hit in order to get your target IVs. The standard seed that you hit will depend on which target time you decide to hit (along with some other smaller factors). What the Entralink Seed Search window does is it searches through many standard seeds with your target nature to find some that you will be able to hit with your target C-Gear times.

Now, in the Entralink Seed Search window make sure you have the right profile selected. Choose the nature(s) you would prefer, and if your target is genderless, then check the box underneath the drop down menu for the natures. The min/max advances are the minimum time you are willing to wait, and the maximum time you are willing to wait before you catch your Pokemon. Remember, you will be relying on the C-Gear to advance the PID frames for you, which is why you will need to wait a certain amount of time before catching your Pokemon. A value of 30 or 40 is recommended for the minimum advancements, and the maximum advancements can be as high as you'd like. If you have an IV frame above 21, then having a higher value in the minimum advancements is recommended. The Minimum Cluster Size is the minimum amount of back-to-back PID frames with the same nature that the Entralink Seed Search will search for. For example, one of the results you might get is a Standard seed with frames 90, 91, 92, and 93 all being a Timid nature. These clusters make it much easier to hit your target nature, because even if your timing is off by a little, you might still hit a frame with the right nature. Finally, the Delay Calibration is where you input your Calibrated Delay from Eon Timer. This is necessary because the Calibrated Delay could make it impossible to hit your Standard seed second. The Entralink Seed Search will adjust the Standard search seed accordingly so you won't have to manually adjust. So, if your Calibrated Delay is -80 in Eon Timer, type in 80 in the Entralink Seed Search. Now hit generate.

***Note to 9.96 Alpha 6 users: The Entralink Seed Search has a small issue with the delay calibration feature, because it doesn't account for the standard seed seconds offset. For example, if I enter in 80 for my calibrated delay in alpha 6, and Entralink Seed Search gives me a standard seed with a target second of 45, then when I enter all my info into Eon Timer, the first timer will be 45 seconds. This is a problem, however, because on a DS Lite, if you enter the game at 45 seconds, the standard seed you will hit will be 46 seconds. In order to fix this, just toy around with the value you put into the delay calibration box. My calibrated delay is -80, and I fixed the issue by putting 50 in the delay calibration box (subtracted 30 from 80. I don't know why it worked but it did).

Scroll through your list until you find a standard seed you want to hit. If you want to increase the results you get, you can increase the maximum advancements value, or select more keypresses. You can select more keypresses in the Profile Manager.

Once you choose a standard seed, look at the column named C-Gear Date/Time. This is your target time for your C-Gear seed. Go to the Seed to Time window to find this target time and highlight it.

***Note to 9.96 Alpha 6 users: 9.96's Seed to Time window has a small bug. It doesn't allow you to select a profile, so all the times it generates are off by a handful of minutes because the Seed to Time doesn't know which MAC address to use. Download RNG Reporter 9.95 beta and use its Seed to Time window instead. Make sure you enter the correct seed and MAC address at the top.
[a]PID[/a]Generating PID Frames

Go to the main window of RNG Reporter to generate PID frames for your standard seed.

First, change the method to Method 5 PIDRNG. Copy the seed and paste it in the correct spot. Then, go over to the right of the window and click Calculate Initial PIDRNG Frame. Right above that, there's a drop down menu to select the gender ratio. Pick the right gender ratio for your target Pokemon. Now hit generate. Before you scroll down to your target frames, right click any of the frames a select Display Characteristics in Search. Enter your target IVs. Finally, scroll down and find your target frame. Don't worry if one of your target frames says "Skip." It's still possible to hit skip frames. You're going to use these PID frames often to check how far off you were from your target frame.
[a]eon[/a]Setting up Eon Timer

The final step before the actual RNG abuse process is setting up Eon Timer. Open the application.

First, change the mode to Entralink+. Leave the calibrated delay at whatever the default is (unless you've already calibrated; then use the value you found). Enter your target delay in the correct spot, along with your target second for your C-Gear seed. Both of those can be found in the Seed to Time window. Input 356 in the EL Calibration box, even if it's not the default (again, if you already calibrated for this, then use the value you found). Keep the Frame Calibration at 0. The Target Advances is how many frames you need to advance to hit your target. The number that goes here can be found by a simple subtraction problem.

Code:
Target Frame - Initial Frame = Target Advances
The value you insert for target frame could be any one of your target frames. Leave the rest of the spots blank. You'll use them later. Lastly, make sure your timer's settings are right by clicking the gear in the bottom left corner and changing them to your preferences. The big things to look for in the settings window is the Countdown Mode, Action Interval, Action Count, and the Console. The best Countdown Mode is probably Audio. Action Interval and Action Count are easiest to follow at 1000 and 6, respectively. The Console can be found under the Timer tab in the Settings window. Select the Console that you are using. Now you're ready to begin the actual RNG abuse process.

[a]hit[/a]Hitting your C-Gear Seed and Target PID Frame

Make sure you're saved in an area where you can warp to the Entralink, and there are no WNPCs. Route 9 and the Pokemon League are two examples. Also make that you have all Pokemon moved to the deepest clearing except your target Pokemon, because they act as WNPCs and can advance your frame. You can bring them back from the deepest clearing to RNG them later. Go to the settings of your DS, and set the date to your target date. Then, go to your time settings. Look at Eon Timer, and right under the timer value it will say Minutes Before Target: #. This will tell you what time you need to set your DS to. For example, my target time is 18:23:xx, and Eon Timer tells me to set my DS clock to two minutes before my target, so I would set the time to 18:21. Before you do this, look at the Entralink Seed Search window and make sure this time matches the time for your standard seed. The target time for my standard seed is 18:21:45, which is correct. Also make sure that Eon Timer's first timer will allow you to hit your standard seed. My standard seed's target second is 45, and I'm using a DS Lite, so my timer should be 44 seconds long (round to the nearest second).

Image stolen from Sephirona's Entralink Abuse guide!

After you've checked to make sure everything is correct, start Eon Timer and set your DS clock at the same time so they're synchronized. Wait at the DS menu until the first timer ends. Listen to the beeps carefully to be as accurate as possible. With the Action interval at 1000 and the Action Count at 6, the beeps should sound at these seconds: 4, 3, 2, 1, 0, and a final beep that tells you when the timer ends. Once the first timer does end, enter Pokemon Black or White. Remember to press any keypresses needed for your standard seed, or to press nothing if you have no keypresses.

Image stolen from Sephirona's Entralink Abuse guide!

As the second timer is running, get into the game world from the menu but make sure that you don't turn on the C-Gear when it asks you to. Once you are in the game world, press the power button for the C-Gear. Now pay close attention; you have to be fast. Press "Yes" and then quickly tap the screen to get out of the warning shown. Then press X twice to enter and exit the menu so that the C-Gear animation doesn't play. Directly after that, tap the Wireless button on the C-Gear and then tap the Entralink button. All of this should be done quickly to minimize the amount of PID frames that the C-Gear advances. Once you reach the screen that says "______ warped to the Entralink!" the C-gear stops advancing. It begins advancing again when you enter the Entralink. After you've done all of that, wait for the second timer to end and then press A to enter the Entralink.

Once you are in Entralink, walk your 128 steps (or however many you need to hit your IV frame) here if your target IV frame is higher than 21, and then walk into the Entree Forest. It's important that you advance the IV frame in the Entralink, because the IV frame is reset once you enter the Entralink. Therefor, if you advanced the IV frame outside of the Entralink, and then entered it, your Pokemon would have the IVs from frame 21, not your target frame. Run up to your target Pokemon and press A to interact with it. When you are asked to add the Pokemon to your party, be ready to select "Yes." As the third timer ends, press A to engage in battle (not really a battle, more like a confrontation). Catch your Pokemon in the desired Pokeball.
[a]update[/a]Updating Eon Timer

If you got the wrong nature and/or IVs, don't worry, especially if it was only your first try. Make sure that you don't turn off your DS yet, though. You'll use this try to adjust for next time. When abusing the IVs and PID of Entralink Pokemon, I prefer to adjust Eon Timer to help me receive the correct nature before worrying about the IVs. If you'd rather adjust to hit your delay first, just refer to the second part of this section.

Take a look at the summary of your Pokemon, and check the nature. Find the main window of RNG Reporter with your generated PID Frames and look for a frame near your target (about +/-15) that has the nature that you just received. Subtract your initial frame from the frame with the matching nature, and type the number you get into Eon Timer where it says Actual Advances. Then hit Update. Now attempt to hit your delay and PID frame again. Repeat these steps if you get the wrong nature again. If you couldn't find a nearby frame with the same nature that you got, then you most likely hit your other timer0, so just try again.

In order to find out what time and delay you hit, you'll need to use the Seed to Time window. Find the window, and look at the bottom half. In the delays, enter +/- 500. In the seconds, enter +/- 3. For the minimum frame, enter 21. For the maximum, enter something a little higher than your target frame. Check the Roamer box if you have one. Now hit generate.

As you can see, Seed to Time generated seeds adjacent to your target seed. In order to find out which of these adjacent seeds you hit, you'll need to find the exact IVs. Metalkids IV calculator is highly recommended, and with assistance from a handful of rare candies, the IV judge in the Gear Station, and the Hidden Power guy in Mistralton's Pokemon Center, finding the exact IVs shouldn't be too much of a problem. Once you find the IVs, click Search IVs, and enter the IVs. Seed to Time will tell you what delay and time you hit after you click "Ok." As you get more accurate, you won't have to check for the exact IVs. You can use the characteristic to find out what you hit. For example, if I get a Pokemon with the characteristic "proud of its power," and it has low HP, then I could deduce that I hit delay 5030.

If you missed your target seconds, then use this formula to adjust your EL Calibration (don't use Seconds Hit and press update, it doesn't work):

Code:
([Seconds Hit - Target Seconds]* 60) + Current EL Calibration = EL Calibration
If you didn't hit +/-5 of your delay, you also should update your calibrated delay value. Eon Timer 1.6 unfortunately has a bug; if you input the delay you hit in the Delay Hit space and then click update, it updates the EL Calibration instead. For this reason, if you need to update your calibrated delay, download Eon Timer 1.6 Beta 1 (I think... don't remember) and use that to find your new calibrated delay, and then copy that value into Eon Timer 1.6. This was not listed in the Prerequisites because some people already have their calibrated delay. After you update your timer, you should be much more accurate, and eventually, successful!
[a]conclusion[/a]Credits & Thanks

I'll begin by thanking all of Smogon's researchers and programmers, especially OmegaDonut, Bond697, Kaphotics, Slashmolder, and ToastPlusOne for their programs and contribution to Entralink PID abuse. I'd also like to thank Sephirona for her amazing basic Entralink abuse guide and her snapshots, along with Hozu for a snapshot I needed. That's about it...

My only rule is that you please follow the rules that Smogon already has in place. They're there for a reason. ^_^

Some notes:
1. The Pokémon listed in this thread are not particularly important to me. Therefore, I'm willing to trade them away for nearly anything (within reason).
2. I am open to taking RNG requests. Please be as specific as possible when requesting something, and please be understanding if it takes a week or so for me to finish your RNG. I do have a life, and a busy one at that. :p
3. I clone all of my Pokémon with an infinite recursion program. However, I'm happy to give away the original Pokémon for RNG requests. I'll likely keep a copy of the .pkm file, but I won't re-trade it at any point thereafter.
4. I'm open to trading with anyone. Unlike my studly trade partner, I don't mind if you're a forum n00b. I'm still rather green myself, so as long as you can properly communicate and are able to be fair with me we shouldn't have any problems.
5. I'd prefer my Pokémon to NOT be re-traded or uploaded to public sites - for this reason, all my Pokémon are non-redis. If someone wants something and you see that I have it, simply send them my way.
6. Nicknames are something I can easily do, just please remember to ask in advance.
7. I borrowed an AR from Hozu to use codes for Safari Zone blocks and 100% capture rate for my Safari Zone captures. They were not used for any other Pokémon, or in any game aside from the three SoulSilver saves with Safari Zone captures.
