Medicham

I was just saying in general... Clearly for Medicham, having Huge Power, a boost in a random stat is somewhat redundant. He is supposed to hit hard and fast, not waste time setting up.

I know. It should not be used for staying in. What I am saying plenty of times is I am using this pokemon to break stallers. Hitting hard and fast is good for medicham, but it can be walled and meybe set up on somehow. What I do with this pokemon is killing and maybe setting up on pesky stallers like whimsicott, ferrothorn(it is OU but medicham is still effective against that), Ferrothorn, Bronzong, etc. I am recently using with 156HP/252Atk/12SpD/88Spe Adamant with HJK/Bulk up/Magic coat/Substitute to take care of bulky opponents like milotic, Ferrothorn, whimsicott etc(I am trying this in OU. Just what I do just out of affection). He is just staying with stallers. If they are not in, and there is no reason to use this kind of medicham

Not just that but as you Bulk Up they switch out into something that can handle you: Gnagar, Espeon, Reunclus youd then be forced to switch out or lose your Medicham. If you want to get through walls than use Choice Band it provides the same power boost as Bulk up without wasting a turn. If we were talking about OU than Conkeldurr is much much superior in a Bulk up set. Thats not even an argument. Talking about UU, (like it should be in the UU forums) then people have already went over how Gallade is superior

Gallade and Medicham are two completely different Pokemon. Yes Gallade is more bulky and no it doesn't outclass. Medicham is designed to hit and run. And saying Azumarill hits harder is not quite true; Medicham has the strongest non-boosted (Pure Power doesn't count) High Jump Kick in the whole game.

Without Pure Power, Medicham's HJK fails to outdamage that of Lucario, Blaziken, and the Hitmons, among others.

Um...Just for my being uneasy let me tell you that I am not trying to 'make you use this medicham since it is so good'. I am still experimenting for my own pleasure, and I am asking for your advice which I hope all of you are intending to give me. Please do not be too stressed just because I keep at my thoughts despite your advice since it is just that I am still not sure, and I am not disrespecting you.

Choice band is good for breaking walls instantly. But bouncing off or blocking status, preparing for manageable switch ins or protect, maybe bouncing off entry hazards, which walls and stallers usually do, is what I thought to be also important to make it go through walls. Also, I did not want leave my cham so stupid with choice band especially with the risky hi jump kick. That is why I am choosing bulk up. Even if I use bulk up, Medicham should not stay in. It should quickly boost its status once or hardly twice, and with a possible life orb we can break walls. If using bulk up as we usually do, like staying in battlefield effectively for a long time, Gallade and Conkeldurr outclass it so much, which I agree. The only reason I use bulk up is to make its attack extreme without being locked in, and with being so versatile in coping with walls and stallers. Well that is my opinion, and I am just trying to find a better use of his niche since I like him so much.

Idk if making this thread was right. I should have done more experiments.

All ghosts which are either too bulky for medicham to kill with psycho cut without being maimed or killed or too fast for medicham to outspeed with choice band, psychics that carries shadow ball, flyers that carries strong flying move, and absurdly strong attackers like darmanitan, haxorus(idk about UU but you name it), is the reason for medicham to switch out. But warding off previous stallers that medicham can manage with hjk, bulk up, sub, and magic coat like forretress, ferrothorn, vaporeon is enough for this medicham since we cannot want more than it from this set. Also, if we make a sub when they are switching out, we can severely damage some of the switch ins. I do not mean its really good, but just saying its not THAT bad. The switch ins might be common, but we might take care of them with other 5 members.
