[OVERVIEW]
Pure Power doubles Mega Medicham's Attack stat, making it one of the most powerful wallbreakers in the OU tier. Powerful STAB attacks in High Jump Kick and Zen Headbutt in conjunction with solid coverage moves such as Thunder Punch and Ice Punch make Mega Medicham even more challenging to switch into. Mega Medicham's base 100 Speed stat allows it to outpace Heatran, Rotom-W, Tapu Lele, and Landorus-T, among other threatening Pokemon. Mega Medicham also has access to priority moves such as Fake Out and Bullet Punch, which help patch up its only decent Speed stat and allow it to pick off faster offensive Pokemon such as Greninja, Tapu Koko, and Gengar. Mega Medicham's relatively low Speed stat alongside very poor bulk makes it rather easy to revenge kill.

Moves
========
Fake Out deals chip damage and allows Mega Medicham to revenge kill weakened offensive threats such as Ash-Greninja, Tapu Koko, and Mega Alakazam. High Jump Kick is an incredibly hard-hitting Fighting-type STAB move, dealing immense damage to any Pokemon that does not resist it and even some that do. Ice Punch provides solid coverage alongside High Jump Kick, nailing Flying-types such as Landorus-T, Zapdos, and Tornadus-T for super effective damage. Zen Headbutt completes Mega Medicham's dual STAB and allows it to break through Poison-types such as Toxapex, Amoongus, and Mega Venusaur. Thunder Punch can also be used in this slot in order to hit bulky Water-types such as Tapu Fini, Slowbro, and Gyarados for super effective damage while still nailing Toxapex. Thunder Punch is best used in tandem with Tapu Koko, as Electric Terrain boosts its power, allowing Mega Medicham to do huge damage to traditional counters such as Mega Sableye. Lastly, Bullet Punch is an alternative option to further alleviate Mega Medicham's rather poor Speed stat, and it works particularly well with Fake Out for revenge killing weakened faster threats.
Set Details
========
Maximum Attack and Speed investment allow Mega Medicham to hit as hard and as fast as possible. A Jolly nature is preferred in order to outspeed Pokemon such as Tapu Lele, Landorus-T, and Zygarde. An Adamant nature can be used for more power and if the aforementioned Pokemon are not particularly threatening to Mega Medicham's teammates. An Adamant nature also allows Mega Medicham to usually OHKO defensive Landorus-T after Stealth Rock damage with Ice Punch as well as 2HKO defensive variants of Tapu Fini with Zen Headbutt. Pure Power doubles Mega Medicham's Attack stat and allows it to properly wallbreak.
Usage Tips
========
Beware of using High Jump Kick when the opponent has a Ghost-type Pokemon, as they are immune to the move, and Mega Medicham will lose 50% of its health if it misses. Mega Medicham has very poor defensive stats, and as such, should not be switched into attacks, since even powerful resisted attacks will do significant damage. Use Mega Medicham's teammates to generate as much momentum as possible for it. Slow U-turns and Volt Switches as well as aggressive double switches can be very beneficial in order to get Mega Medicham as many free switch ins as possible.
Team Options
========
U-turn and Volt Switch users such as Landorus-T, Tapu Koko, and Rotom-W are excellent partners alongside Mega Medicham, as they generate momentum and provide Mega Medicham with free switch ins to wreak havoc. Entry hazard support from the likes of Greninja, Ferrothorn, and Skarmory also work well with Mega Medicham, as it forces a large amount of switches, so entry hazard damage racks up quickly. Pursuit users such as Weavile and Tyranitar can trap opposing Ghost-type Pokemon like Gengar that are immune to Mega Medicham's High Jump Kick, as well as Psychic-types such as Tapu Lele and Latios that resist Mega Medicham's dual STAB. Mega Medicham is an incredible early- and mid-game wallbreaker, so naturally late-game cleaners such as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, and Autotomize Celesteela make for solid partners, as they appreciate Mega Medicham's ability to break through even the bulkiest of walls. Tapu Koko and Tapu Lele work well alongside Mega Medicham, as they set up Electric and Psychic Terrain respectively, boosting the power of Thunder Punch and Zen Headbutt. When pairing Mega Medicham with Tapu Lele, however, it is important to note that it cannot use Fake Out versus grounded opponents while Psychic Terrain is active.

Other Options
=============
A Substitute + 3 Attacks set utilizing Drain Punch, Zen Headbutt, and Ice Punch has more longevity than its All-out Attacking set, eases prediction with Substitute, and also is not forced to rely on the rather unreliable High Jump Kick. This set lacks priority, however, making it unable to revenge kill weakened offensive threats.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Ghost-types**: Ghost-type Pokemon such as Gengar, Mimikyu, and Mega Sableye are immune to Mega Medicham's High Jump Kick, and can also hit it for super effective damage with their Ghost-type STAB moves. Mega Sableye is particularly bothersome for Mega Medicham, as it is immune to both of its STAB moves and can burn Mega Medicham with Will-O-Wisp. Similarly, although slower than Mega Medicham, Mimikyu has access to STAB super effective priority Shadow Sneak which can heavily damage Mega Medicham.
**Bulky Psychic-types**: Bulky Psychic-type Pokemon such as Mew, Slowbro, and Reuniclus resist Mega Medicham's dual STAB and can threaten it with crippling status.
**Faster Offensive Pokemon**: Faster Offensive Pokemon such as Mega Metagross, Ash-Greninja, and Tornadus-T all outspeed Mega Medicham and can target it for huge damage with their powerful STAB attacks.
