Mega Alakazam sports the highest Special Attack stat in the metagame, which turns it into a very solid wallbreaker as a result. Moreover, its access to a reliable recovery move in Recover compounds on this trait, allowing it to take advantage of many passive Pokemon such as specially defensive Heatran, Slowbro, and Toxapex. Furthermore, Mega Alakazam also boasts the highest unboosted Speed in the metagame, which, in combination with its power and a great ability in Trace, makes Mega Alakazam one of the best revenge killers as well, easily allowing it to KO threats such as Ash-Greninja, Mega Lopunny, Kartana, and Dragapult, as well as weather sweepers such as Mega Swampert and Excadrill. Trace also allows Mega Alakazam to check Heatran and non-Draco Meteor Mega Latios, and can situationally copy very beneficial abilities such as Beast Boost from Kartana, Soul Heart from Magearna, Magnet Pull from Magnezone, and Regenerator from Toxapex, Slowbro, and Tornadus-T. Focus Blast complements Psychic very well, allowing Mega Alakazam to do major damage to Steel- and Dark-types such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, Hydreigon, and Mega Tyranitar. Recover is mandatory in order to continuously take advantage of passive Pokemon such as Toxapex, Slowbro, and Tapu Fini, as well as fully check the likes of Heatran and Mega Latios. Shadow Ball rounds out Mega Alakazam’s coverage, hitting Psychic-types such as Mega Metagross, Slowbro, Mega Latios, and Reuniclus, as well as Aegislash for major damage. Magic Guard is the pre-mega ability of choice, as it allows Mega Alakazam to enter a battle without having to worry about entry hazards the first time, and gives Mega Alakazam the ability to stay unharmed from Toxic inflicted by the likes of Toxapex and Heatran, as long as it desires.

Mega Alakazam fits best on balance teams, as it requires defensive support due to its frailty, as well as offensive support in order to break through its checks and clean late-game. Corviknight is a major obstacle in Mega Alakazam’s efforts to make progress, as it can easily switch into anything Mega Alakazam can throw at it and quickly PP stall it out of Focus Blast. Thus, strong means of pressuring it through the likes of Rockium Z Garchomp and Landorus-T, Tapu Lele, and Swords Dance Kartana, as well as a way to take advantage of the turn Corviknight is forced to recover itself through the likes of Heatran, Rotom-H, Volcarona, and most notably, Magnezone, is strongly recommended. Heatran in particular takes advantage of many checks to Mega Alakazam, such as Magearna and Mega Scizor, while also trapping and eliminating another roadblock in Chansey if running Taunt. Although it resides in a stellar Speed tier, Mega Alakazam remains prone to Choice Scarf users such as Galarian Darmanitan, Hydreigon, and Kartana, as well as priority users such as Mega Metagross, Mega Scizor, Aegislash, Mega Lopunny, and Bisharp. Consequently, a strong defensive backbone that can take these threats on, consisting of Pokemon such as Toxapex, Tapu Fini, Tangrowth, Corviknight, and Ferrothorn, is paramount to Mega Alakazam’s success. Notably, Mega Alakazam is capable of trapping Magnezone for the aforementioned Corviknight and Ferrothorn. Mega Metagross in particular can restrict Mega Alakazam's progress by discouraging it from clicking its STAB move. Therefore, strong counterplay in the likes of physically defensive Tangrowth or Hippowdon is particularly important. Mega Alakazam also appreciates wallbreakers that can weaken the team to an extent where Mega Alakazam can clean up. As a result, the aforementioned Tapu Lele and Garchomp, as well as Ash-Greninja and Galarian Darmanitan make for good teammates. Tapu Lele also provides Psychic Terrain support, which bolsters Mega Alakazam's wallbreaking prowess to even higher heights, while also shielding it from priority attacks. Both Ferrothorn and Ash-Greninja can set up Spikes to further ease Mega Alakazam’s wallbreaking by quickly whittling down checks such as Magearna and Mega Scizor. Lastly, since Mega Alakazam's physical bulk is quite low, it enjoys pivoting support from the likes of Galarian Darmanitan, Rotom-H, Slowbro, and Tornadus-T.

Mega Alakazam sports the highest Speed and Special Attack in the metagame, which turns it into a very solid wallbreaker as a result. Moreover, its access to a reliable recovery move in Recover compounds on this trait, allowing it to take advantage of many passive Pokemon. You should definitely give a couple of example of passive Pokemon. Furthermore, the aforementioned Speed and power in combination with a great ability in Trace makes Mega Alakazam one of the best revenge killers as well, easily allowing it to KO threats such as Mega Metagross, Ash-Greninja, Mega Lopunny, Kartana, and Dragapult, as well as weather sweepers such as Mega Swampert, Excadrill, and Venusaur. Mentioning Mega Metagross as a Pokemon you easily KO is misleading and inaccurate. I'm also not convinced that Venusaur's worth a mention. Trace also allows Mega Alakazam to check Heatran and non-Draco Meteor Mega Latios, and can situationally copy very beneficial abilities such as Beast Boost from Kartana, Soul Heart from Magearna, and Regenerator from Toxapex, Slowbro, and Tornadus-T. Definitely mention Magnet Pull too. Shadow Ball rounds out Mega Alakazam’s coverage, hitting Psychic-types such as Mega Metagross, Slowbro, Mega Latias, and Jirachi, as well as Aegislash for major damage. Change Mega Latias to Mega Latios; Mega Latias doesn't really take enough from Shadow Ball to be highlighted.

Heatran in particular takes advantage of many checks to Mega Alakazam, such as Magearna and Mega Scizor, while also trapping and eliminating another roadblock in Chansey. You should definitely specify Taunt Heatran. Taunt Heatran shouldn't be assumed in this meta and any other variant doesn't quite weaken Chansey substantially enough. Consequently, a strong defensive backbone that can take these threats on, consisting of Pokemon such as Toxapex, Tapu Fini, Tangrowth, and Ferrothorn, is paramount to Mega Alakazam’s success. I'm really not a fan of how Mega Metagross is basically shrugged off here; it's the single best Pokemon in the metagame and Mega Alakazam opens up a lot of opportunities for it. Good counterplay to Mega Metagross, as far as that goes, is incredibly important and should be highlighted. Mega Alakazam also appreciates wallbreakers that can weaken the team to an extent where Mega Alakazam can clean up. As a result, the aforementioned Tapu Lele and Garchomp, as well as Ash-Greninja, and Galarian Darmanitan make for good teammates. Both Ferrothorn and Ash-Greninja can set up Spikes to further ease Mega Alakazam’s wallbreaking by quickly whittling down checks such as Magearna and Mega Scizor. Lastly, since Mega Alakazam's physical bulk is quite low, it enjoys VoltTurn support from the likes of Galarian Darmanitan, Rotom-H, Slowbro, and Tornadus-T. Slowbro technically doesn't fall under "VoltTurn support". Just say support from pivots. I also think it may be worth mentioning how Mega Alakazam can trap Magnezone for Steel-types such as Corviknight and Ferrothorn.

Mega Alakazam sports the highest Speed and Special Attack in the metagame, which turns it into a very solid wallbreaker as a result. I'd rather see you talk about its speed in the portion about revenge killing, as the speed tier isn't really what makes it the wallbreaker that it is, while it's obviously really important for revenge killing. Moreover, its access to a reliable recovery move in Recover compounds on this trait, allowing it to take advantage of many passive Pokemon such as specially defensive Heatran, Slowbro, and Toxapex. Furthermore, said Speed and power in combination with a great ability in Trace makes Mega Alakazam one of the best revenge killers as well, easily allowing it to KO threats such as Ash-Greninja, Mega Lopunny, Kartana, and Dragapult, as well as weather sweepers such as Mega Swampert and Excadrill. Shadow Ball rounds out Mega Alakazam’s coverage, hitting Psychic-types such as Mega Metagross, Slowbro, Mega Latios, and Jirachi, as well as Aegislash for major damage. Something like Reuniclus or Mega Latias would make more sense here, as Jirachi isn't super common and even the bulky variants of them can be threatened thanks to the spdef drop chance.

Mega Metagross in particular can restrict Mega Alakazam's progress by discouraging it from clicking its STAB move. Therefore, strong counterplay in the likes of physically defensive Tangrowth as well as Hippowdon is particularly important. The phrasing kinda makes it sound like you would run them on the same team, so specify that they are just different options available. Mega Alakazam also appreciates wallbreakers that can weaken the team to an extent where Mega Alakazam can clean up. As a result, the aforementioned Tapu Lele and Garchomp, as well as Ash-Greninja, and Galarian Darmanitan make for good teammates. Lele's psychic terrain can be mentioned as well; its not the metagame definer that it was last gen but the boost is nice and blocking priority is awesome.
