Hi everyone! I'm back from the depths yet again to a sequel to one of my teams that used Mega Camerupt! (And the team is still based on the same game) And this time i used a sweeping Mega Altaria! Please give me constructive criticism in the comments! I hope you enjoyed as this one took a little more time to make but enjoy nonetheless! Also CREDIT GOES TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE THAT MADE THESE POKEMON ART PIECES
So I wanted to make this a more offensive team rather than defensive (Even though there are still some tanky mons on this team.) From the start i knew i wanted to use 3 specific pokemon: Mega Altaria, Iron Valiant, And Ceruledge. 3 Pokemon I think revolve really well around eachother and have good movepools and statspreads. However, the other 3 slots took much much longer before i decided on what they would be, before i settled on what i wanted to use, i went through phases of testing different pokemon like i used Hydrapple, Gholdengo, Tornadus, Magnezone etc. But i found 3 that i think are really good pairing with the rest of the team. So for the last 3 spots I picked Excadrill, Hisuian Samurott and Zeraora. I feel this is the best team composition i could think of but please still give constructive critism!
CoHaD (Citadel of Heights and Depths) (Altaria-Mega) @ Altarianite
Ability: Natural Cure (Pixilate after mega)
EVs: 16 HP / 224 Atk / 16 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Return
- Earthquake
-Dragon Dance
- Roost
Altaria is a very good mega evolution and one i think is quite underrated. Altaria is a VERY good user of return when mega evolved and with 1 dragon dance. When you send it out, Mega Evolve then use Dragon Dance. If there is something that Altaria is weak to, switch out into Zeraora or Ceruledge as they resist most of what Altaria is weak to. Return for fairy type STAB, Earthquake for coverage and Roost for emergency healing. Overall Altaria can be INCREDIBLY powerful with Dragon Dance, Pixilate and STAB boosted Return.
ToVV (Tower of Valiant Verges) (Iron Valiant) @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch
Wow this thing can really sweep is it gets off a Sword Dance. With Booster Energy, Iron Valiant can get a huge speed boost (up to 500 in battle) and if you get a swords dance off with its already super high attack stat, this Pokemon can do serious damage. Close Combat is for when you need to unload damage quickly (Because of how fast Iron Valiant is the defense drop wont matter too much) and with STAB and Swords Dance that job is no problem at all. Knock Off is for reliable damage and for removing items from the opponent, and Ice Punch is just a good coverage move. Overall Iron Valiant is a VERY good fast physical sweeper.
SoFoG (Steeple of Fear of Ghosts) (Ceruledge) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bitter Blade
- Poltergeist
- Close Combat
Ceruledge is very similar to Iron Valiant as in it sets up the same and is also a physical attacker, but has different capabilities. With Focus Sash and Weak Armor, if you were hit by a physical move, Weak Armor will activate and the Focus Sash will ensure you stay alive. Once you Swords Dance and maybe get off a Weak Armor boost you can start using Poltergeist for an extremely strong STAB move, Bitter Blade for STAB and healing, or Close Combat to unload damage quickly. Ceruledge can also be a very good sweeper like Iron Valiant just less coverage focused.
ToVITE (Tower of Voyaging Into The Earth) (Excadrill) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Rock Tomb
Excadrill is gonna be your lead Pokemon. You can set up rocks and get off good damage with Earthquake and Rock Tomb. Rapid Spin is there to clear any hazards the opponent sets up. If you want to set up even more hazards you can switch into Samurott to use Ceaseless Edge. Earthquake is really good damage if your just wanting to pack a punch and Rock Tomb is good for slowing down the opponent. As a mentioned Rapid Spin is for clearing any hazards that the opponent sets up. The Focus Sash is so that Excadrill doesnt OHKOED turn 1 before it can set up rocks. Overall a very good pair with Samurott.
ToRoMW (Tower of Rain on My World) (H-Samurott) @ Black Glasses
Ability: Sharpness
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ceaseless Edge
- Razor Shell
- Sucker Punch
- Sacred Sword
Samurott is mostly an all-rounder, it can set up hazards with Ceaseless Edge, it can do very good damage with Ceaseless Edge and Sacred Sword or try to lower the defenses of the opposing Pokemon with Razor Shell. Ceaseless Edge is a very good attack for Samurott, with it being STAB, boosted by Black Glasses and boosted by Sharpness, having 117.5 base power, Razor Shell with STAB and 50% defense lowering, Sucker Punch for STAB priority, and Sacred Sword being boosted by sharpness having a whopping 135 base power. Overall Samurott can pivot to whatever the game needs it to be.
ToX (Tower of Xanthophobia) (Zeraora) @ Electricium Z
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Plasma Fists
- Knock Off
- Volt Switch
- Toxic
Last but not least we have Zeraora. Zeraora is a very good user of Electricium Z with Plasma Fists, With it having 180 base power when its a Z Move. Plasma Fists is a very good STAB move on Zeraora, Knock Off being Reliable coverage and item removing, Volt Switch for pivoting out and Toxic for inflicting poison. Although it doesnt have a very good ability, Zeraora can still pack a huge punch with what moves it gets. Overall Zeraora is a very good offensive pokemon with good pivoting and good statspreads.

(More Coming Soon!)
If this pokemon gets off a Quiver Dance, it can EASILY sweep through your team with little to no problems. Watch out for this Pokemon and dont let it set up if you can.
Can be a threat with how fast it is, having a widespread moveset, access to Will-O-Wisp and Court Change. Can sweep your team if your not careful. Try to kill it with Samurott or A Weak Armor boosted Ceruledge.
In conclusion, I think this is a very solid team, yes it probably could use some defenses and it has a bunch of weaknesses but i think it is very fun to use and I think Mega Altaria is very underrated. I hope this team is at least alright, i tried my best on it but since its a sequel i didnt really have too much to work off of. Please give me constructive criticism in the comments on how to improve this team. Not sure if ill make a part 3 of this team "series" just because its very hard to think of Pokemon that relate to the names of towers/citadels/steeples from this game but if you do wanna see, let me know in the comments! With that ill see you all next time!
