Mega Blaziken's niche lies in its immensely strong STAB-boosted V-create. Combined with Choice Band and Tinted Lens, V-create can achieve feats such as OHKOing Eternatus and Miraidon. Tough Claws instead offers a more consistent damage boost that is useful against targets neutral to Fire such as Fur Coat Arceus-Ghost, as well as boosting Electro Drift. U-turn lets Mega Blaziken retain momentum and chips Mega Slowbro. Electro Drift seems strange with Choice Band, but it is a great option to snipe Fur Coat Water-types like Mega Slowbro, which survive even Tinted Lens V-create. Mega Blaziken is effective at forcing walls to recover, making Pokemon like Magic Guard Blissey and Magic Bounce users that can deny Strength Sap healing excellent teammates. Mega Blaziken suffers from a middling Speed tier and reliance on V-create, thus pairing well with fast wallbreakers like Ash-Greninja and Koraidon. Mega Blaziken can be Imposter-proofed by Fur Coat Dragon-types and Mega Swampert.
