Pros & Cons
+ Can run a multitude of sets, from offensive demon sets to full support, so its set can be tailored to your team's specific needs
+ Can spread both Sleep and Paralysis in a metagame with only 1 Heal Bell Pokemon (Mega Chimecho itself)
+ It is the only Pokemon with access to Heal Bell. This immediately gives it a niche as your Mega of choice in Stall.
+ Has great matchups against specific threats like Mega Glimmora and Mega Floette
- Underpowered compared to other Megas it takes the Mega Slot from, and has a weak base form which makes the prospect of running double mega unviable
- Has weaknesses to many common attacking types such as Fire, Ghost, and Dark
- Its setup sets are easily shut down by Taunt or Encore
- Has very little coverage off of a low Special Attack stat for Mega standards, rendering it helpless against Steel types or specific Dark and Fire type Pokemon

Potential sets
Heal Bell
Chimecho-Mega @ Chimechite
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
EVs: 32 HP / 2 Def / 32 SpD
Calm Nature
- Heal Bell
- Recover
- Psychic Noise
- Yawn / Thunder Wave / Hypnosis / Taunt / Encore / Calm Mind
This set makes the most out of Chimecho's niches. It is the only Heal Bell user and as such should be pretty much utilized solely for this purpose as it is otherwise outdone by better, non-Mega Pokemon. Psychic Noise is our STAB of choice for the anti-heal properties. The last slot is up to the player's choice, all of them are quite good on their own. Taunt and Encore make it harder to use Mega Chimecho as setup fodder which is a huge problem against the likes of Mega Gyarados or Mega Charizard X. This set is best used on Stall teams as, again, it is the sole user of Heal Bell in the tier.

Checks and Counters

All Dark-types heavily threaten Chimecho and are immune to Psychic Noise.

Similarly, Steel-Type Pokemon are a roadblock to Chimecho, but aren't quite as dangerous due to Chimecho resisting Steel itself.
Taunt and Encore
Chimecho is rendered useless by Taunt especially, turning off Recover and Heal Bell.

Excadrill is poised to be a top Pokemon in Champions OU by virtue of its Rapid Spin support capabilities, and Excadrill is a perfect counter to Chimecho, resisting its STABs, being immune to Thunder Wave, and threatening a super effective Earthquake thanks to Mold Breaker, all while potentially using Chimecho as setup fodder. The one tool Chimecho has is using Hypnosis when Excadrill switches in, but it still cannot do much afterwards.

A ton of the best offense Pokemon in the tier directly threaten Chimecho for huge damage, meaning it will always have at least multiple very bad matchups it has to deal with.
_________
Conclusion
Mega Chimecho is a bad choice for most team archetypes, which will benefit much more from giving the Mega Slot to a top threat such as Mega Alakazam or Mega Gengar. However, it does carve out a niche for itself in Stall thanks to Heal Bell.

Setup
Chimecho-Mega @ Chimechite

Level: 50
EVs: 32 HP / 32 Def / 2 SpD
Bold Nature
- Recover
- Calm Mind / Cosmic Power
- Stored Power
- Dazzling Gleam / Calm Mind / Charge Beam
Chimecho's best setup set. Cosmic Power grants boosts to both defenses but is lacking in firepower, especially if running Dazzling Gleam. It has the most potential when running both Calm Mind and Stored Power, but it then requires all Dark-types to be KO'ed, or run Dazzling Gleam as its only attacking move, which will lack power even at +6. Running Cosmic Power + Charge Beam partially fixes this issue, but Charge Beam is very low power and won't work on Ground-types.
