Latios-Mega @ Latiosite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Psychic
- Hidden Power Fire
- Earthquake
- Roost

This Steel killer Mega Latios set eases Psychic's matchup against Steel-type teams by luring in and OHKOing threats like Mega Scizor and Heatran. In fact, this set has no problem getting through every Steel-type barring Celesteela thanks to its excellent attacking stats. This set also heavily improves Psychic's matchup against Poison, as Mega Latios lures in Alolan Muk, eliminates it with Earthquake, and heals off any damage Alolan Muk deals with Roost; it can then break through the rest of the defensive core with Psychic. Teammates include Choice Scarf Victini, which benefits from Mega Latios's ability to lure in Heatran, as once Heatran is gone, Victini can potentially run through entire Steel teams. Stallbreaker Mew is an especially good teammate, as it can get around roadblocks like Chansey, Celesteela, and Mantine for Mega Latios. Latios can more easily bluff a Choice Scarf when used with other Pokemon like Slowbro and Latias that could potentially be the Mega Evolution.

Although Latios is usually Choiced or utilizing a Z Move on Psychic-type teams, (I think the idea is to only talk about the current set, not what it could otherwise run. Also, this is a Mega Latios spotlight, idt you need to talk about plain Latios). This Steel Killer Mega Latios, created by Eien, (lol) eases Psychic’s matchup against Steel-type teams by luring and OHKOing threats like Mega Scizor and Heatran. In fact, this set has no problem getting through every Steel-type barring Celesteela thanks to its excellent attacking stats. This set also heavily improves Psychic’s matchup against Poison, as Mega Latios lures in Alolan Muk, with eliminates it with Earthquake, and heals off any damage Alolan Muk deals with Roost; it can and then breaks through the rest of the defensive core with Psychic, clearing the way for teammates like Victini (Talk about victini earlier when you talk about breaking Steel instead). Stallbreaker Mew is an especially good teammate, as it can get around roadblocks like Chansey, Celesteela, and Mantine for Mega Latios. Other potential Megas like Slowbro and Latias make great teammates, as they improve Latios’ ability to bluff a choiced item (You need to rewrite this sentence. When I first read it, I thought you were recommending them to use a double Mega team, which is lol - just specify your language so it's clear.). Choice Scarf Victini benefits from Mega Latios’ ability to lure Heatran, as once Heatran is gone Victini can potentially run through entire Steel teams (Just talk about this earlier when you talk about breaking steel).
