Mega pinsir team needs help!

Hello everyone, I have been playing pokemon since the old red/blue times and allways loved the game but was more of the collector than a battler.

But now I wanna do something more than just collect. So this is my team as off now:

Mega-Pinsir @ Pinsirite
Hyper Cutter
Jolly, 252 atk/252 spe/4 hp
-Earthquake
-Quick Attack
-Return
-Sword Dance

When looking around for Megas I tried out Gengar, Blaziken and Garchomp but didnt really like any of them. And then came Pinsir, not only is it fast, but the Aereloite boost on Return and Quick Attack is nuts not to mention the bulk and heavy attack made it the perfect sweeper.

Gliscor Toxic Orb
Poison Heal
Impish, 244 hp/252 def/ 12 spe
-Toxic
-Protect
-Substitute
-Earthquake

Basicly here as a physical wall, I did consider Rotom-w as it is also a great Talonflame counter. But I like that it's crazy good on the defensive since the toxic orb/substitute thing it got going with Poison Heal. And then it is easy to set the opponents up with toxic ans start shipping away their HP.

Greninja Life Orb
Protean
Hasty, 252 sp.atk/ 252 spe/ 4hp
-U-Turn
-Ice Beam
-Dark Pulse
-Surf

My frontline starter, it's greatly versatile with its great special attack and 4x stab moves. If it wont 1 hit the threat it's dead. Therefore I put U-Turn on it to both deal great damage and switch it out to one of my defensice walls or counters.

Goodra @ Assault Vest
Gooey
Modest, 252 hp/ 252 sp.atk/4 spe
-Fire Blast
-Sludge Bomb
-Dragon Pulse
-Ice Beam

Sp.def wall and sp.atk threat. Might want to put Infestation on it to force the opponents to stay put. I love that Goodra can pretty much take any hit with it's allready bulky defense and Assault Vest just brings it to a whole other level.

Uncertain about but have performes okay:

Lanturn @ Leftovers:
Volt Absorb
Calm, 40 hp / 216 sdef / 252 def
-Volt Switch
-Scald
-Ice Beam
-Heal Bell

Lanturn has good bulk so it's another tank that eats what threatens Greninja and Pinsir. Also meant as a poor mans healer.

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Stance Change
Adamant, 252 hp/ 252 atk/ 4 spe
-King's Shield
-Iron Head
-Shadow Sneak
-Sacred Sword

Just a great all around fighter, good defence and since I have a fairy weakness I wanted someone that had some great steel moves and also someone with a fighting move for steel and Normal types since I dont have any fire type moves.

This is as far as I have gotten. So as you can see I'm uncertain about the last 2 slots on my team and I have no idea what to do with them.

So I would love some insight on how I should further advance my team as it is now.

Thanx in advance

Hello! The 4 pokemon you have already are pretty good! Surf would be better on Greninja, in my opinion, for accuracy purposes. There are just a few problems though.
Number 1 - Your team has a weakness to Ice type moves which are pretty common in OU. Maybe one of the remaining slots could be a fire type pokemon to scare Ice types away.
Number 2 - Why 12 spd EV's on Gliscor? I would probably use those EVs on raising sp. def a little but up to you. Thats really just a minor issue for me.
Overall very good team! Hope this helps :)

Hello there!

First of all, keep in mind that you need to provide at least 3 lines of information explaining why you chose that particular Pokemon. You also have to post only completed teams. You can refer to the rules here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/rules-read-before-making-an-rmt.3490983/ You can add Pokemon sprites to make your RMT more visually appealing. These sprites can be obtained from here: http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/xyani/

Sorry didnt know, added some of my previous members for the full 6 ^^

Will try and get the sprites in when I, m not on my phone! :D
And thanx in advance for any advice you may have!

A rapid spinner and defogger would benefit your team to help keep pinsir healthy and naive nature works better on Greninja because you be able to take priority moves a bit better since most are physical. As for rapid spinner or defogger tentacruel Excadrill work well and defoggers can be Latios/latias mandibuzz

If Gliscor isn't too high on hp, a Charizard-X is going to tear through your team. Likewise gliscor is heavily depended on to stop talonflame. Gastrodon would be a nice replacement for Lanturn. My set for him is
Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Recover
- Ice Beam
- Toxic
Now Ice beam is on there to hit the pokemon who are immune to gliscor's stab while gastrodon still has that electric immunity and has more liveability. Volt switch is a nice asset but the access to recovery is very important. Toxic stops it from becoming set up bait also. I think this change helps a lot because gliscor is depended on a lot and doesn't have enough support in my opinion. I think the team looks pretty good in its centred around pinsir yet it still has other venues of offence. Entry hazards look like they could be a pain for you. To combat this i would suggest potentially running a support scizor instead of aegislash.
Scizor @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Roost
- Defog
Unfortunately, this comes at the cost of offence but scores easy 2HKO's on your common ou fairies. Scizor's slow u-turns aid in letting greninja come into the action and let pinsir seize good match ups to sweep. Finally, i actually think Hydro pump on Greninja is utterly viable because of the extra damage. Greninja isn't one to soak up hits and relies on ko's. Plus, a water move isn't that important because all his moves get stab

Very solid team. Consider changing Lanturn to Rotom-w as Rotom-w is generally a better pokemon, and they have the same typing.
