[SET COMMENTS]
Great defensive stats and recovery, an amazing ability in Magic Bounce, neutrality against Dark-type attacks, and absorbing Knock Off allow Mega Sableye to thrive as one of the best defensive Pokemon available for Ghost-type teams. Knock Off cripples all kinds of item-reliant Pokemon, including Heavy-Duty Boots Volcarona, Life Orb Landorus and Nidoking, and Eviolite Porygon2. Will-O-Wisp makes physical attackers like Mega Gallade and Terrakion much easier to wall. Protect lets Sableye safely Mega Evolve against major threats such as Mega Diancie while also scouting Choice-locked attackers like Tapu Koko. Prankster is the ability of choice on pre-Mega Evolution Sableye for priority status moves if necessary. The given HP and Special Defense EVs allow Mega Sableye to avoid an OHKO from Choice Specs Tapu Koko's Dazzling Gleam and a 2HKO from Life Orb Nidoking's Earth Power, assuming Sableye uses Knock Off after the first Earth Power.

All of Mega Sableye's teammates appreciate its ability to switch into Dark-type moves and reflect entry hazards, Toxic, and Thunder Wave. Galarian Corsola forms a formidable defensive core with Mega Sableye, namely dealing with significant threats in Mega Lopunny, Choice Band Excadrill, and Swords Dance Garchomp. Together, they reliably switch into most attacks directed at their offensive teammates. Aegislash further complements this defensive core as a reliable specially defensive wall with its SubToxic set Poison immunity. Aegislash also greatly aids against Fairy- and Ice-types like Mega Diancie, Tapu Lele, and Alolan Ninetales. Mimikyu is an amazing offensive teammate that helps against Dark-types like Hydreigon and Dragon-type Pokemon such as Latios, Hydreigon, and Kommo-o. Blacephalon helps greatly against Steel-, Grass-, and Ice-types like Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and Galarian Darmanitan and is able to act as a reliable revenge killer with Choice Scarf, outspeeding and taking care of some of Mega Sableye's threats like Mega Lopunny and Tapu Koko. Gengar is another great offensive teammate that wallbreaks with Choice Specs and is a great asset in matchups like Fairy. Lightning Rod Alolan Marowak proves to be a good teammate, as it blocks Electric-type moves from the likes of Tapu Koko and Regieleki.

Mega Sableye can opt to run Dazzling Gleam in lieu of Protect to better deal with threats like Urshifu-S and Hydreigon while also preventing Pokemon such as Keldeo and Kommo-o from taking advantage of Mega Sableye's passiveness. Toxic can also be used over Protect to help against Pokemon like Volcarona, which is otherwise free to set up. Metal Burst can be used in the last slot to take Mega Diancie's Moonblast and OHKO back. Foul Play can be used instead of Knock Off to deal with physical attackers like Mega Charizard X and Cinderace with ease. However, that results in Mega Sableye being unable to do any meaningful damage against Pokemon with poor Attack stats.

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-type Pokemon like Mega Diancie, Mega Altaria, and Tapu Lele are able to KO Mega Sableye with their powerful STAB moves after some minor chip damage.

**Special Setup Sweepers**: Setup sweepers like Calm Mind Tapu Lele, Substitute + Calm Mind Suicune, and Volcarona use Mega Sableye as setup fodder.

**Wallbreakers**: Strong wallbreakers like Choice Band Victini and Choice Specs Regieleki have no trouble taking care of Mega Sableye after very little chip damage.

Great defensive stats and access to reliable recovery in conjunction with an amazing ability in Magic Bounce allows Mega Sableye to thrive as one of the best defensive Pokemon available for Ghost-type teams [mention its dark-type neutrality + role as a knock off absorber as well, it's important]. Knock Off helps Mega Sableye cripple both offensive and defensive Pokemon that rely on their items greatly like Heavy-Duty Boots from Pokemon like Volcarona, Life Orb from Landorus and Nidoking, and Eviolite from Pokemon such as Porygon2. Will-O-Wisp burns and significantly cripples physical attackers like Mega Gallade and Terrakion, making them much easier to be walled. Recover is Mega Sableye's main form of recovery and provides longevity, allowing it to act as a reliable wall through out the game. Protect sounds off the set and helps Mega Sableye safely Mega Evolve in the face of major threats such as Mega Diancie while also scouting Choice-locked attackers like Tapu Koko. Prankster is the ability of choice on Sableye prior to mega evolution allowing it to comfortably always use utility moves priority to mega evolution, if necessary. The given HP and Special Defense EVs allow Mega Sableye to survive a Life Orb boosted Earth power from Nidoking followed by an unboosted Earth Power after Life Orb has been knocked off on Nidoking while also surviving a Choice Specs boosted Dazzling Gleam from Tapu Koko and full HP. The HP EVs in tandem with the Defense EVs also allow Mega Sableye to potentially [+1 252 Atk Black Glasses Urshifu Wicked Blow vs. 252 HP / 100 Def Sableye-Mega on a critical hit: 268-316 (88.1 - 103.9%) -- 25% chance to OHKO] survive a Wicked Blow from Black Glasses Urshifu-S after a single Bulk Up boost.

All of Mega Sableye's teammates appreciate its ability to bounce off threatening hazard moves entry hazards like Stealth Rocks , Toxic Spikes, and Spikes while also bouncing off status moves such as Toxic and Thunder Wave and act a neutrality against Dark-type moves. Galarian Corsola forms a formidable defensive core along with Mega Sableye namely dealing with a significant threats to Mega Sableye in Mega Lopunny, Choice Band Excadrill, and Swords Dance Garchomp. Together, they also reliably switch in against a majority of attacks directed at their offensive teammates. Aegislash furthers compliments this defensive core as a reliable specially defensive wall with its SubToxic set while also providing an immunity against Poison-type moves. Aegislash also greatly aids against Fairy- and Ice-types like Mega Diancie and Alolan Ninetales [would also add tapu lele as a fairy-type example]. Blacephalon pairs up well and helps greatly against Steel-, Grass-, and Ice-types like Celesteela, Ferrothorn, and Galarian Darmanitan and is able to act as a reliable form of speed control when equipped with a Choice Scarf, outspeeding and taking care of some of Mega Sableye's threats like Mega Lopunny and Tapu Koko. Gengar is another great offensive teammate that can be a great wallbreaker with a Choice Specs set and is a great asset in matchups like Fairy. Gengar also absorbs Toxic Spikes which otherwise significantly hinders Mega Sableye's defensive role. [i'm kinda unsure about this mention because mega sableye can deal with most toxic spikers anyway, i would remove it] Mimikyu is an amazing offensive teammate that helps in the Dark-type matchup [add examples of dark-types that it deals with for mega sableye] and deals with troublesome Dragon-type Pokemon such as Latios, Hydreigon, and Kommo-o. [move this up before the blacephalon sentence imo]

[you can also mention alolan marowak as a teammate; preventing electric spam from destroying the team with lightning rod is generally very useful]

Mega Sableye can opt to run Dazzling Gleam in lieu of Protect to better deal with threats like Urshifu-S and Hydreigon while also preventing Pokemon such as Kyurem [knock off and dazzling gleam do the same damage to kyurem; add another example like keldeo] and Kommo-o from taking advantage of Mega Sableye's passiveness. Toxic can also be used over Protect to help against Pokemon like Volcarona that have little to no trouble whatsoever, setting up against Mega Sableye with ease. Metal Burst can be used in the last slot as Mega Sableye lives a Mega Diancie's Moonblast from full HP and can OHKO back with Metal Burst.
[add that Foul Play can be used over Knock Off to deal with physical attackers like Mega Charizard X, Lum Berry + SD Garchomp, and Cinderace much easier. mention the drawbacks]

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-type Pokemon like Mega Diancie, Mega Altaria, [especially threatening because bulky dd sets with refresh / heal bell just negate will-o-wisp] and Tapu Lele can easily deal with Mega Sableye, being able to KO Mega Sableye with their powerful STAB moves after some minor chip damage.

**Special Setup Sweepers**: Setup sweepers like Calm Mind Tapu Lele, Substitute + Calm Mind Suicune, and Volcarona can easily use Mega Sableye as setup bait and proceed to break through Mega Sableye with ease.

**Wallbreakers**: Strong wallbreakers like Choice Band Victini and Choice Specs Regieleki have no trouble taking care of Mega Sableye after very little chip damage.
