Mega Sableye [QC 2/3]

Reviewing Magma's AMQC, iamnathan you can ignore this
Bold will be my notes
AM QC Check plz wait for official QC unless you agree on it Red= Merge and Red with strikethrough delete Blue=comments Purple=add
[OVERVIEW]
• Mega Sableye fills a solid role in the 1v1 metagame thanks to its access to two useful abilities in Prankster and Magic Bounce, as well as its great defensive typing and stats. I think that that this should be explained on, like what does these abilities do for Sableye in terms of beating a mon, more than likely merge the two bullets below as they tie to the same point.
Useful for defeating many physical attackers, such as Dragonite, thanks to priority Will-O-Wisp Merge with above
Counters Pokemon that rely on status, such as Jumpluff, due to Magic Bounce. Merge with above
Mention set up special sweepers like Naga.
Not primarily a setup special sweeper, poor example
Mention Mold Breaker Pokemon(I think this is mostly just Mega Gyra) as these are huge against Mega eye as it can get taunted by mega gyra and it can dd up. and cant be wisped if eye stays unmega for prankster. If its only one relevant Mold Breaker mon, you don't need to mention it as a main counter. Either that, or you could say "Mega Sableye has trouble against Mega Gyarados, one of the best Pokemon in the tier)
• Fairies are Mega Sableye’s biggest weakness and Twinkle Tackle What mons? I also think that Tapu Fini should be mentioned along with Prima, as it sometimes run Waterium Z will knock it out regardless of investment.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
• Will-O-Wisp is Mega Sableye’s form of neutralizing many physical attackers like Dragonite, Garchomp, and Mega Metagross. as having them burned will make them unable to take care of Mega Sableye. self explanatory/flavor text. Not needed to convey the message. You could instead explain how Burn is able to halve their Attack
• Recover is a necessary healing move to stop Mega Sableye from gradually getting chipped down. in what matchups, express more on this point.
• Foul Play helps to beat opponents that will try to set up on Mega Sableye. Again, examples like Dragonite, Haxorus, Mega Charizard X, Landorus-T etc.
• Metal Burst makes use of Mega Sableye’s bulk to strike back against opponents that try to knock out Mega Sableye in one hit with a Z-Move or other powerful attack. Needs examples like Magnezone, Special Dragonite, and Heatran.

Set Details
========
• This EV spread allows Mega Sableye to survive a wide array of physical and special attacks. Merge the two lines above with this one, just because this is in bullets does not mean it needs to be separated like this since it is the same thought.
• These include a +1 Shadow Ball from Conversion Porygon-Z, Flare Blitz from Mega Charizard X, Hydro Vortex from Greninja, Never-Ending Nightmare from Aegislash, Draco Meteor from Naganadel, and Subzero Slammer from Kyurem.
• Surviving these attacks allows Mega Sableye to use Metal Burst to OHKO the opponent.
Merge

Usage Tips
========
• Mega Sableye is useful against Pokemon that it can hit with Will-O-Wisp Such as? or Pokemon that rely on status moves to win. Such as?
These include Pokemon such as Dragonite, Jumpluff, Landorus-T, Garchomp, Mega Swampert, Salamence, and Donphan. Merge with above
• Remember when playing against Mega Gyarados and Tyranitar to mega evolve and then Will-O-Wisp because prankster moves do not affect dark types.
• It is also important to keep in mind that some players will try to play around Metal Burst by using a weaker move for chip damage on the first turn or use it to set up on and then their Z-Move or more powerful attack on the second.

Team Options
========
• Pokemon that deter fairies are key support to help Mega Sableye. Merge below line to here.
• Mega Venusaur, Mega Metagross, and Aegislash are all good options. Merge, and explain a bit of how they counter Fairy-types.
• Mega Charizard X could be a solid teammate as well to handle Magearna and Mega Gardevoir. as its Fire-typing allows it to set up once setting up once isnt necessarily what it needs to do to beat these mons. For Aegi its a straight up 50/50 anyway, unless sub is run and take care of these.
• An answer for Charizard Y also helps out Mega Sableye because a sun-boosted Blast Burn will OHKO Mega Sabelye even if you raise its Special Defense.
Mention Dragon-types like Dragonite, Haxorus and Garchomp. You give no reason why he should include Dragon-types.
Tapu Koko or Zeraora could both fill this role. Merge this with above.

I think there should be another set with max spD with cm,
but wait for offical qc. This is mainly to help with bad mus like naga and other special set up sweepers that are not Fairy-types.

Sableye-Mega @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Recover
- Dark Pulse
- Calm Mind
- Taunt / Will-O-Wisp

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
• Swapping out a move or two and switching up the EV spread can make Mega Sableye have much better matchups against specific Pokemon. Merge all of this together
• For example, adding Taunt helps beat stall Pokemon like Slowbro, Blissey, and Chansey. Merge this with above
Snarl or Calm Mind along with Night Shade Dark Pulse could also help Mega Sableye handle special attackers better. Merge this with above
• However, due to the typical fast-paced nature of the 1v1 metagame, these moves will be more niche, making Mega Sableye less useful overall.
Why did you tell him to remove those options? You give no explanation. Even if you know you're right, ppl can't magically tell that.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairies Fairy-types **: Fairies, such as Magearna, Mega Gardevoir, and Primarina, will easily OHKO Sableye with a STAB Twinkle Tackle or Hyper Voice and there is no way to stop it. This is not needed.

**Charizard Y**: Charizard Y can OHKO Mega Sableye with a Blast Burn or weaken it first with an Air Slash or Solarbeam (not enough for Metal Burst to kill though) and then KO it the next turn. Not needed.

Mention speical set up sweepers that are not fairy

Mention how mold break mega dos counters it with taunt and can set up with dd.

**Facade Mega Lopunny**: Facade Mega Lopunny beats Mega Sableye because Will-O-Wisp is neutralized and even if you try to go for Metal Burst, Fake Out into High Jump Kick is a guaranteed KO. Not a set.

So the biggest thing you can do is explaining why you suggest some changes. An author won't understand why they need to change something if they put what you want to have changed in the first place.

Bolded is additions, strikethrough is stuff that should be removed, underline needs to be edited in some way, red is comments. All information I bring are based on 1630 Usage stats (considering anything at or above 6% as of March 2019 usage relevant) and Calcs.
[OVERVIEW]
Mega Sableye fills a solid role in the 1v1 metagame thanks to its access to two useful abilities in Prankster and Magic Bounce, as well as its great defensive typing and stats. It is useful for stalling out many pokemon, such as Dragonite or Genesect, thanks to priority Will-O-Wisp and Snarl or Calm Mind to weaken the opposing Pokemon's attacks. It also Counters Pokemon that rely on status, such as Jumpluff, due to Magic Bounce. Magic Bounce also stops opposing pokemon from taunting Mega Sableye, which can help it to win stall matchups against Pokemon such as Chansey and Shuckle none of these use taunt. Shuckle isn't relevant. I'm sure there are better examples. Unfortunately, Mega Sableye does have some unfavorable matchups against some common Pokemon such as Mega Charizard Y and Mega Gyarados. Fairies, such as Magearna or Primarina also present a problem for Mega Sableye due to natural type advantage. Mention that you can use Metal Burst, Foul Play, Taunt, and Recover

Moves
========
Will-O-Wisp, along with Foul Play, last time I meant that the examples you include should be mons you beat with only will o wisp and any combination of the other moves, not to include mons you beat with Will o + Foul is Mega Sableye’s form of neutralizing many physical attackers like Dragonite, you need Foul Play, will lose if you run Metal Burst Haxorus never use Will o against Haxorus, mega evolving and metal bursting is the play, Golem, Jirachi, and Mega Metagross. Once they are burned they will be unable to take down Mega Sableye naturally goes without saying and will not be able to set up due to Taunt or Foul Play taken down through a combination of Mega Sableye's other moves. Recover is a necessary healing move to stop Mega Sableye from gradually getting chipped down list some examples of when you use it. Foul Play helps to beat opponents that will try to set up on Mega Sableye such as physical Dragonite, Landorus-Therian, or Garchomp. Calm Mind is a reliable way to stall out non-boosting special attackers such as Choice Specs Genesect and non-Nasty Plot Porygon-Z. move calm mind to the end Metal Burst makes use of Mega Sableye’s bulk to strike back against opponents that try to knock out Mega Sableye in one hit with a Z-Move or other powerful attack such as Draco Meteor from Choice Specs Naganadel, Haxorus, or Hydro Cannon from Choice Specs Greninja. Taunt improves Mega Sableye’s matchup against Pokemon that want to set up against it, such as Zygarde and offensive Mew, by forcing them to attack and get hit by Metal Burst instead of setting up. It also improves the matchup against opposing Stall Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur and Deoxys-S and allows it to neutralize recovery moves. Move Taunt to after Foul Play

Set Details

This EV spread allows Mega Sableye to survive a wide array of physical and special attacks. These include a +1 Shadow Ball from Conversion Porygon-Z, Hydro Cannon from Choice Specs Greninja, Never-Ending Nightmare from Aegislash, Draco Meteor from Choice Specs Naganadel, and Subzero Slammer from Kyurem. It 252 HP EVs, 48 Def EVs, and 208 SpD EVs with a Bold nature maximizes Mega Sableye's defense while having enough special defense to not give Download users such as Genesect a special attack boost from Download, as well as prevent Genesect from 2HKOing Mega Sableye. I was bad the first time, this should be the first sentence, followed by what you live Prankster allows Mega Sableye to have priority Will-O-Wisp which allows it to burn physical attackers, such as Dragonite and Haxorus again, always metal Burst, you lose against banded hax, before they have a chance to attack Mega Sableye change from Mega Sableye to Sableye since Mega Sableye doesn't have prankster. Prankster also provides priority to Taunt which can be useful to limit the opponent's options what opponents. Recover and Calm Mind also receive priority to help survive attacks . Combine all the moves that Prankster boosts into one sentence, and just generalize that Prankster gives status moves priority and helps out against certain matchups; you're talking about what the ability can do, not the moves rn. After Mega Evolution, Magic Bounce stops opposing Pokemon like Chansey and Jumpluff from stalling with status moves.

Usage Tips
========
Mega Sableye is useful against Pokemon that it can hit with Will-O-Wisp. These include Pokemon such as Dragonite, Landorus-T, Garchomp, Mega Swampert, Salamence, and Donphan. Remember when playing against Mega Gyarados and Tyranitar to mega evolve and then Will-O-Wisp because prankster moves do not affect Dark-type pokemon. Mega Gyarados running Taunt easily defeats Mega Sableye due to it having access to Mold Breaker Taunt to stop Mega Sableye from stalling it out bypass Magic Bounce. Otherwise, Mega Sableye will beat Mega Gyarados after burning it with Will-O-Wisp. Not what I meant. I was asking you if you beat Mega Gyarados and how to play against it if you do. You should beat non-Taunt variants. Mega Sableye’s typing gives it a great matchup versus Psychic- and Normal-types such as Mew, Sawk, and Meloetta. It is also important to keep in mind that some players will try to play around Metal Burst by using a weaker move for chip damage on the first turn or use it to set up on and then their Z-Move or more powerful attack on the second. To counter this, you can recover on the first turn or use taunt depending on what you expect your opponent to do. After this, you can predict when your opponent will use their Z-move or, if their damage is low enough, continue to recover until they use their Z-move and then chip them down with Will-O-Wisp and Foul Play. Mention that you don't need to predict against Choice Users such as Haxorus, Naganadel, and Porygon Z. When dealing with special attackers such as?, Calm Mind is a great option because it boosts Mega Sableye's already high special defense stat. When handling Stall Pokemon, such as Jumpluff, mega evolve on the first turn in order to avoid any status conditions. Mega Sableye's selection of variable moves makes it flexible for catering to the needs of its teammates, which allows it to work well with most other Pokemon. It is important to remember that Will-O-Wisp and Calm Mind is ideally used before Sableye mega evolves in order to have priority from Prankster.

So, I think you should be a bit more detailed on the Dragon Dance Dragonite matchup. Its actually pretty complicated. you'll need foul play to beat it guaranteed; will o wisp turn one. If they z turn one, you'll be able to recover and safely damage with foul play or taunt + mburst. if they ddance on the will o wisp, next turn you need to mega evolve and use recover. You will die if you stay in mega form, and This covers the play of either them Z-ing turn two or dragon dancing again. If they dragon dance again, foul play the next turn, as it will do enough damage after burn to OHKO.

Team Options
========
Pokemon that deter fairies what fairies?, such as bulky Poison- or Steel-type Pokemon like Mega Venusaur, Mega Metagross, and Aegislash, are all good options to help support Mega Sableye. In return, Mega Sableye complements Mega Venusaur by handling Psychic-type Pokemon such as and helps Mega Metagross by warding off Sturdy Counter users such as?. It also benefits Aegislash by countering physical ground attackers such as Landorus-Therian or Normal-type Pokemon like Meloetta. A Fire-type Pokemon such as? could be a solid teammate as well to handle Fairy-types such as Magearna and Mega Gardevoir. Mega Sableye also supports Mega Charizard X by being able to defeat Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Crustle , and Donphan. An answer for offensive Mega Charizard Y also helps out Mega Sableye because a sun-boosted Blast Burn will OHKO Mega Sabelye even if you raise its Special Defense. Strong Dragon- and Electric-types such as Dragonite, Zeraora, or Garchomp could fill this role. Mega-Sableye helps out these Pokemon by defeating Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, Donphan, and discouraging the opponent from using a Stall Pokemon.

Other Options
=============
Calm Mind along with Night Shade, Snarl, or Dark Pulse could also help Mega Sableye handle special attackers better such as?. However, due to the typical fast-paced nature of the 1v1 metagame, these moves will be more niche, making Mega Sableye less useful overall.

Checks and Counters

===================

**Fairies**: Fairies, such as Magearna, Mega Gardevoir, and Primarina I'm pretty sure you can play around with Taunt+Metal Burst. Maybe a diff example?, will easily OHKO Mega Sableye with a STAB Twinkle Tackle or Pixilate-boosted Hyper Voice Beam.

**Wallbreakers**: Special attack boosting Pokemon such as Nasty Plot Naganadel and Tail Glow Manaphy can boost up without fear. Pokemon like offensive Mega Charizard Y can simply OHKO Mega Sableye. While Mega Sableye can typically handle physical boosting Pokemon with Foul Play, Bulk Up users in particular, such as Incineroar and Blaziken, as well as Swords Dance Mega Charizard X, are able to boost without fear of taking too much from Foul Play. Mega Gyarados with Mold Breaker Taunt can also cause Mega Sableye trouble by not allowing it to recover.

**Mega Lopunny**: As the only relevant Fighting-type Pokemon with Scrappy, Mega Lopunny is a consistent counter to Mega Sableye as Fake Out into High Jump Kick is a guaranteed KO.

kk, second round of checks. Overall an improvement, there's some issue with how things are ordered, and could use a bit more examples in some areas. tag me when this is added so i can give a final check.

Yes, I am sorry for being so difficult recently
I have had to handle some family stuff these past few days but it has settled down now so I should implement changes by tomorrow or the next day

alright. If things are rough you're of course welcome to take a break for a little bit. Someone else could take it over at this stage, since its mostly done, so don't feel too pressured.

I think that may be best if someone else takes over to finish it off
Thank you very much for letting work on this as much as I did and I am sorry for not being able to finish it out
