ORAS OU Mega Sableye RMT

With the introduction of Mega Sableye to ORAS, I've decided to put together a team based around him. He is a very effective wall with his new stat distribution and with only 4x fairy weakness, many offensive threats have a hard time dealing with him once he is setup. This is the team I put together.

Jazzy (Sableye) @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball Dark Pulse
- Recover
- Will-O-Wisp
Mega Sableye is the new big threat in OU. This is the standard defensive set that many people will run with. I mainly lead with him unless i see a fairy threat on my opponent's team. If i think that they are going to set up hazards I immediately mega evolve so that i can magic bounce them away. Same if they are going to try to taunt or status me. I run calm mind to set up, Dark Pulse as my main attack instead of Shadow Ball to hit normal type switch-ins, recover for longevity, and will-o-wisp to neutralize non fire type threats.

Chuck D (Heatran) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
Heatran is my spacialy defensive wall that covers sableye's 4x fairy weakness. I bring him in to take fire types that sableye couldn't willo and that Ferrothorn couldn't stay in on. He runs lava plume as a stab to potentially burn, toxic to break down walls, stealth rock for hazard support and taunt to prevent setups.

Raekwon (Staraptor) @ Choice Band
Ability: Reckless
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Double-Edge
- U-turn
- Close Combat
To provide more offensive power, I chose a choice banded Staraptor. Staraptor is pure power and helps to handle fighting types that Heatran and Ferrothorn are weak to. Brave Bird and Double-edge are the main stab attacks, u-turn for switch initiative, and close combat for coverage.

Busta (Raikou) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Extrasensory
- Hidden Power [Ice]
I wanted a choice scarfer that was already fast to out speed other fast sets and still hit hard. Raikou fit the bill well with his switch initiative and electric typing to help handle things like Talonflame that give me a problem. Volt Switch to provide initiative, Thunderbolt for a strong stab, extrasensory to hit mainly mega venusaur, and HP ice to hit ground types and lando real hard.

Dirty B (Ferrothorn) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Power Whip
- Thunder Wave
Although I have Heatran for my fairy weakness, Azumaril is still a problem. I made him the standard physically defensive set with rocky helmet. I gave him leech seed for recovery, gyro ball and power whip for stab, and thunder wave to neutralize any fast threats.

Big Pun (Azumarill) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
Azumarill is good to help my team handle dragon and other fire types. He is good to help with physical power as well as knock off utility and priority and natural bulk assisted with assault vest. Play rough and waterfall for stab, knock off for utility, and aqua jet for priority.

An that's the basic rundown of my team built around Maga Sableye. I you have any suggestions to improve my team feel free to leave a reply.

I would change shadow ball to dark pulse, so you can hit normal types like Diggersby and Mega Lopunny. This is really negligible really, but it wouldn't hurt, right?

On a seperate note, you'll need an extra line of text for Staraptor. I doubt anybody noticed, but rulez are rulez and thought I would let you know that this was the case

Personally I find the combination of both Thunder Wave and Gyro Ball to be a little odd. I'd consider maybe Spikes instead, or Protect to scout (and helps with Leech Seed recovery).

You might wanna consider switching the Choice Scarf onto Staraptor and Choice Specs onto Raikou. Staraptor already gets major boost from it's ability and STAB, while Raikou is already naturally fast, even if only by a little bit. Only a suggestion though.

Hello.
Your descriptions are too short to fit the RMT rules requirements.
I encourage you to PM me an updated version of this team with beefed up descriptions, and if you're new to this, join the Mentor Program. I'll be unlocking this thread after that.

Have a nice day.
