[OVERVIEW]
Mega Swampert possesses one of the best defensive typings in the game in Water / Ground, with resistances to Fire, Rock, and Steel and a critical immunity to Electric-type moves, the bane of most Water-type Pokemon. This great defensive typing is further fortified by Mega Swampert's amazing bulk, allowing it to survive a hit from powerful attackers like Porygon-Z, Dragonite, and Pheromosa and put them to sleep with the combination of Yawn + Protect. Mega Swampert's Ground / Ice coverage in Earthquake and Ice Beam hits many common Fire-, Steel-, Dragon-, and Ground-type Pokemon super effectively like Victini, Magnezone, Dragonite, and Garchomp. However, Mega Swampert's main selling point in Yawn is also its biggest downfall, as its reliance on sleep turns makes it a shaky check to Pokemon that can 2HKO it like Dragonite, Mega Medicham, and Mega Lopunny, relying on the 66% chance that opposing Pokemon stay asleep for at least two turns. Furthermore, with a lack of usable stat-boosting moves and an over reliance on sleep turns, Mega Swampert is usually countered by a plethora of stall-oriented Pokemon with access to Taunt like Deoxys-S, Mew, and Mega Sableye or Defense-boosting moves like Mega Slowbro and Mega Altaria. Lastly, Mega Swampert's Water / Ground typing gives it a glaring 4x Grass-type weakness, making it susceptible to Grass-type Pokemon like Serperior and Grass-type coverage like Solar Beam from Mega Charizard Y and Grass Knot from Greninja.

Moves
========

Yawn should be used against Pokemon like Charizard, Sawk, Crustle, and Haxorus. Protect is used in combination with Yawn to ensure that the foe falls asleep the next turn by preventing Mega Swampert from getting attacked or being affected by Encore, status conditions, or Encore from Pokemon like Mega Lopunny. Earthquake is Mega Swampert's most powerful STAB move, hitting extremely hard with investment and a base 150 Attack stat. This allows it to KO Pokemon it doesn't need Yawn to win against, like Zeraora, Magnezone, and Blacephalon. Ice Beam allows Mega Swampert to deal with the many Flying-types that are immune to Earthquake and hit specific Pokemon 4x super effectively, including metagame staples like Landorus-T, Garchomp, Dragonite, and Zygarde.

Set Details
========
208 HP EVs are used to maximize Mega Swampert's great mixed bulk by allowing it to take a Dragonium Z-boosted Outrage from Dragonite, as well as anything physical nukes like Mega Medicham and Mega Lopunny can throw at it so it can use Yawn against them on turn 1. 248 Special Defense EVs paired with this HP investment allow Mega Swampert to beat both Normalium Z and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z by taking Breakneck Blitz and preventing Uproar from Choice Scarf variants from 2HKOing it. 36 Special Attack EVs are needed to guarantee that Ice Beam 2HKOes maximum HP Dragonite. The Attack stat is where the remaining EVs go. A Brave nature allows Mega Swampert to not hinder its Special Attack while increasing its Attack at the expense of its Speed, a stat it does not need very much. This still gives it enough Speed to outspeed uninvested base 60s like bulky Primarina and Incineroar. An alternative EV spread of 248 HP / 28 Atk / 232 SpA with a Brave nature can be used to guarantee that Ice Beam will OHKO Landorus-T and Garchomp and 2HKO Groundium Z Zygarde without having to worry about potential Substitute mind games.

Usage Tips
========
Do not send Mega Swampert into versatile Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Greninja, and Hoopa-U, as they can try to lure in Mega Swampert with their Grass-type coverage. Usually, it's not a good idea to pick Mega Swampert versus stall Pokemon like Mega Sableye, Type: Null, and Registeel, as they can nullify Yawn's usefulness and boost their defenses. Sadly, bulky Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados can forgo Mega Evolving and immunize themselves to Earthquake while shaking off Ice Beam with ease thanks to their secondary typings, so picking Mega Swampert into common Fire / Water / Grass cores with these Pokemon is not advised. During battle, using Yawn turn 1 is usually your best course of action, as the idea of Yawn + Protect Mega Swampert is to tank a hit, use Yawn followed by Protect, and 2HKO Pokemon like Genesect and Pheromosa. Don't bother using Yawn against offensive foes you can simply out-damage, like Blacephalon, as they could take advantage of your status move with their own Substitute. Using Protect on turn 1 is advised versus powerful Fake Out users like Mega Medicham and Flail Mega Lopunny to prevent chip damage that might otherwise let them OHKO Mega Swampert. It is also important to use Protect turn 1 when facing off against Porygon-Z, as this allows you to scout if it uses Uproar, in which case you can proceed to use Earthquake twice, as Uproar does not 2HKO Mega Swampert, and Earthquake will always 2HKO Porygon-Z. If Porygon-Z uses Breakneck Blitz or Hyper Beam, Mega Swampert should continue with the normal process of using Yawn turn 2 and Protect turn 3, and then using Earthquake to 2HKO Porygon-Z. If using the alternate EV spread of 248 HP / 28 Atk / 232 SpA with a Brave nature, Mega Swampert is a solid choice against teams with Zygarde, Garchomp, and Landorus-T, and Ice Beam is the move of choice in those matchups, as it will always 2HKO Zygarde and OHKO both Landorus-T and Garchomp, with them not being able to KO Mega Swampert back.

Team Options
========
Fire-types like Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y deserve a special mention for their ability to counter Steel- and Grass-types that Mega Swampert struggles with such as Magearna, Registeel, Tapu Bulu, Serperior, and Ferrothorn, as well as Will-O-Wisp users such as Mew and Volcarona. Mega Swampert, in return, can take care of Ground- and Rock-type Pokemon that counter them such as non-Magnet Rise Mega Diancie, Donphan, Garchomp, and Archeops. Grass + Steel types like Kartana and Ferrothorn are fitting partners for Mega Swampert, as they counter opposing Grass- and Water-types such as Whimsicott, Tapu Bulu, Mega Gyarados, and Tapu Fini with their secondary STAB options. Furthermore, their secondary Steel typing helps versus Fairy-type Pokemon that Mega Swampert struggles with such as Clefable and Taunt / Will-O-Wisp Mega Gardevoir. Mega Swampert, in return, takes care of most of the Fire-, Poison-, and Fighting-types that threaten them such as Blacephalon, Nagandel, and Mega Lopunny. Along with that, Pokemon that carry multi-hit moves and sound-based moves to get through Substitute, a direct counter to Yawn, match well with Mega Swampert. Notable examples include Mega Heracross and Volcarona, with the former being a great Will-O-Wisp absorber thanks to its pre-Mega ability in Guts and access to Bullet Seed and Pin Missile to hit Water- and Grass-types hiding behind Substitute like Greninja, Primarina, Serperior, and Whimsicott, as well as access to Close Combat to counter bulky Normal-types like Chansey, Porygon2, and Type: Null. Mega Swampert, in return, can deal with Pokemon Mega Heracross struggles against including Flying-types like Flyinium Z Dragonite, Flyinium Z Landorus-T, and non-Substitute Mega Pinsir, as well as some offensive Fire-types including Mega Blaziken and Victini. Volcarona also helps take care of Steel-types not hit hard by Earthquake and problematic Psychic-types such as Celesteela, Magnet Rise Mega Metagross, Mega Mawile, Mew, and Necrozma thanks to its unique Fire / Bug typing while also utilizing Bug Buzz to hit through Substitute and inflicting special damage to complement Mega Swampert's physical attacking prowess. Mega Swampert, in return, helps counter Rock-type Pokemon like Golem and Crustle and Pokemon carrying Rock-type coverage such as Stone Edge Sawk and Stone Edge Garchomp.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Mega Swampert can utilize Counter or Mirror Coat thanks to its great mixed bulk, potentially baiting Mega Charizard X into using Outrage and surprising some special attackers like Choice Specs Latios. However, using Yawn + Protect and attacking twice usually accomplishes what these moves are trying to do with less prediction needed against powerful Pokemon that can run physical or special movesets like Hoopa-U and Pheromosa. Waterfall also seems like a good option, as it is boosted by STAB, but Ground / Ice coverage already hits everything that Water-type coverage hits, with Waterfall only being useful to surprise for Substitute + Magnet Rise Mega Metagross as well as Levitate users and Flying-type Pokemon that resist Ice Beam such as Rotom-H and Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X before it Mega Evolves.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-type Moves**: Mega Swampert's 4x weakness to Grass-type moves means that it gets OHKOed by most of them. Grass-types such as Kartana, Serperior, and Tapu Bulu along with Pokemon carrying unexpected Grass-type coverage such as Bloom Doom Heatran, Grass Knot Greninja, and Hoopa-U directly counter Mega Swampert.

**Physically Oriented Stall Pokemon**: As Mega Swampert is unable to raise its Attack, Iron Defense users like Registeel, Mega Slowbro, and Necrozma along with Will-O-Wisp users like Mega Sableye and Kee Berry Mew can cripple Mega Swampert and beat it.

**Bulky Taunt Users**: Taunt effectively shuts down Mega Swampert's main strategy in Yawn, especially from bulky Pokemon that commonly utilize the move such as Tapu Fini, Mega Gyarados, Kommo-o, and Whimsicott.

**Substitute**: Substitute also blocks Yawn and provides an extra obstacle of mind games for Mega Swampert to break through. This move in and of itself makes matchups versus Garchomp, Landorus-T, Mega Lopunny, and Greninja tricky.

**Bulky Ground-immune Pokemon**: Magnet Rise users like Mega Metagross and Aegislash can be troublesome for Mega Swampert, as can bulky Flying-type Pokemon like Skarmory and Mega Pidgeot and Levitate users such as Mega Latias and Rotom-W.

Bolded is additions, strikethrough is stuff that should be removed, underline needs to be edited in some way, red is comments. All information I bring are based on 1630 Usage stats (considering anything at or above 6% as of September 2019 usage relevant) and Calcs.
[OVERVIEW]
  • Mega Swampert possesses one of the best defensive typing's in the game with Water/Ground, resisting Fire, Rock, Steel, while critically being immune to Electric-type moves, the bane of most Water-type Pokemon. However, this comes at the cost of being 4x weak to Grass-type moves. move the negative stuff to the end
  • This amazing defensive typing is further fortified by Mega Swampert's amazing 100/110/110 bulk, allowing it to survive a hit from most of the metagame, such as? and put them to sleep with Yawn + Protect.
  • Mega Swampert's Ground/Ice-type coverage hits many common types like Fire, Steel, Rock, Dragon, and Ground-type Pokemon super-effectively, which coming off of an incredible 150Atk and respectable 95SpA stat, allows Mega Swampert to reliably 2HKO most of the metagame. you say Ground/Ice but fail to mention which moves and what Pokemon specifically you deal with
  • However, Mega Swampert's main selling point in Yawn is also its biggest downfall, as its reliance on Sleep turns makes it a shaky check to the many Pokemon it can 2HKO, relying on the 66% overall chance that opposing Pokemon stay asleep on turns 1 and 2, such as against what? sometimes Mega Swampert having to rely on the full 3 turns of sleep to have a fighting chance. against what?
  • This can lead to a lot of 50/50's that other bulky Water-types do not have to deal with, making it an awkward fit on most teams where other Water-types work everytime. 50/50s against what? and Mega Pert isn't rlly the same as other bulky waters, he has no water stab. It would be more like a bulky ground
  • Furthermore, with no access to stat boosting moves and an over-reliance on a Status move Turn 1, Mega Swampert is usually countered by defense boosting Pokemon, Pokemon with access to Taunt or Substitute, and a plethora of other stall-oriented Pokemon. like what?

Moves
  • Access to Yawn is the main reason to use Mega Swampert, a sleep move with 100% accuracy causing the foe to fall asleep the next turn, assuming Mega Swampert is able to tank a hit, which is almost a given thanks to its impressive bulk. kinda obv. also what do you use it against?
  • Protect is used in combination with Yawn to ensure the opponent falls asleep the next by preventing Mega Swampert from getting attacked, Encored, Statused, or having its stats dropped on turn 2. Protect is also useful for scouting out the opponents set before you decide to Yawn or Earthquake turn 1. against what?
  • Earthquake is Mega Swampert's most powerful STAB move, hitting extremely hard with EV investment and a base 150 attack stat. Earthquake is the move you will be using most after Yawn + Protect. also obv. what does it hit? mention pokemon that you eq w/o yawning
  • Ice Beam allows Mega Swampert to counter the many Flying types that are immune to Earthquake, and hit specific Pokemon 4x effectively, including metagame staples like Landorus-Therian, Garchomp, Dragonite, and Zygarde.

Set Details
========
  • 208 HP is used to maximize Mega Swampert's great mixed bulk, as well as live anything that Dragonite, Garchomp, or Landorus-Therian can throw at it in one move. the specific reason is to live a z-Outrage from Dragonite so you can yawn it t1, mention this This also allows it to counter specific physical threats like Mega Lopunny, Mega Lucario, and Mega Medicham. combine this with the rest of the examples
  • 36 SpA is needed to guarantee a 2HKO on 252HP Dragonite , as well as secure a 2HKO on some non bulky variants of Zygarde. not really a thing
  • 248 SpD paired with 208 hp allows Mega Swampert to beat both Normalium-Z and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, as it lives a Z-Hyper Beam, and prevents Uproar from 2HKOing on Choice Scarf. combine this with the first point, since it mentions hp
  • 16 Atk and a Brave Nature is where the rest of the EV's go, as leftovers. powering up Mega Swampert's extremely powerful STAB Earthquake, while the decreased Speed Brave nature allows Mega Swampert to not hinder its important mixed attack and mixed defenses. This puts it at a base 158 Speed, still enough to outspeed uninvested base 60's like Primarina and Incineroar.
  • An alternative EV spread of 248 HP, 28 Atk, 232 SpA with a Brave nature can be used to survive the same physical threats with added bulk, hit harder with extra EV's invested into Attack, but most importantly, obv be able to guarantee the OHKO vs Substitute variants of Landorus-Therian and Garchomp, while also guaranteeing a 2HKO vs Groundium-Z Zygarde, without having to worry about potential Substitute mindgames
  • This set should only be used if your team is not afraid of Uproar on Scarfed Porygon-Z or Z-Conversion Porygon-Z, and if you want to solidify the matchup versus Zygarde and Substitute sets on Garchomp and Landorus-Therian. obv/added the points up there

Usage Tips
========
  • During preview, check if your opponent carries any Grass-type Pokemon, common ones include Serperior, Mega Venusaur, and Tapu Bulu.
  • Be weary when your opponent has a deceptively weak Mega Swampert team, as if they carry a Greninja, Zeraora, Hoopa-Unbound, or Charizard, which could be Mega Charizard-Y with Solar Beam, picking Mega Swampert is most likely not a safe pick due to their potential Grass type coverage moves. this can be condensed into 'don't send against pokemon with grass moves, and versatile pokemon like x y and z can try to lure in swamp'
  • Also be weary of teams carrying fast bulky Taunt users, such as Tapu-Fini, fini shouldn't need to taunt, bc misty terrain Deoxys-Speed deo's play is to id twice, so that it can just tank the eqs and remain out of danger, and Mega Gardevoir . Mega Swampert should also not be picked versus teams with multiple stall Pokemon, such as teams containing Mega Sableye, Type Null, or Registeel.
  • Sadly, teams with Water/Fire/Grass cores, especially with Pokemon like the Mega Charizards, Heatran, Gyarados, Mega Slowbro, Kartana, etc, are usually well equipped to deal with Mega Swampert, so picking Mega Swampert into them is not advised.
  • Notably, bulky Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados can stay in their regular forms and immunize themselves of Earthquake, while shaking off Ice beam with ease thanks to their secondary typing's.
  • However, Mega Swampert is a great pick versus Hyper Offense teams that have multiple powerful attackers that are frail enough to be OHKO'd or 2HKO's by Mega Swampert, such as Nagandel, Mega Metagross, and Genesect.
  • Mega Swampert also fares well versus offensive teams with Sturdy Pokemon, including Donphan, Crustle, and Magnezone, so picking Mega Swampert there is a good choice.
  • During battle, Yawning turn 1 is usually your best choice of action, as the idea of Yawn + Protect Mega Swampert is to live a hit, Yawn, then Protect the ensuing hit, and 2HKO your opponent hoping for no turn 2 wake.
  • For Pokemon that can be OHKO'd by Earthquake KOed before they can KO you, however, like Blacephalon or non-Grass Knot Zeraora, Earthquake should be the choice move.
  • Versus Pokemon with defense boosting moves like Magearna, using Earthquake turn 2 can be beneficial over Protect in predicting a Pain Split or another Iron Defense, wearing down and KO'ing it before they can Pain Split, and giving Mega Swampert a better chance in the matchup.
  • Versus powerful Fake-Out users like Mega Medicham and Mega Lopunny, using Protect turn 1 is advised, preventing them from being able to 2HKO with High Jump Kick after Fake Out chip damage.
  • It is also important to use Protect turn 1 when facing off against Porygon-Z, as this allows you to scout if they are Choice Scarf and used Uproar, in which case you can proceed to use Earthquake twice as Uproar does not 2HKO you and Earthquake always 2HKO's them, if they clicked Z-Hyper Beam or Hyper Beam, you shall continue with the normal process of using Yawn turn 2 and Protect turn 3, and then using Earthquake to 2HKO.
  • If using the alternate EV Spread of 248 HP, 28 Atk, 232 SpA with a Brave nature, choosing Mega Swampert against teams with Substitute variants of Zygarde, Garchomp, Landorus-Therian is a solid choice, and during those matchups Ice Beam is the move of choice, as it will always 2HKO Zygarde with them not being able to OHKO or 2HKO back, and OHKO both Landorus-Therian and Garchomp.
I feel like this entire section can be condensed. Its a lot of wording for essentially these major points:
-use yawn t1 most of the time
-protect t2 unless your opponent can take advantage of it, then you'll need to play mindgames
-don't yawn if you can KO with Ice Beam/EQ without them being asleep
-don't send against Pokemon with grass moves or flying types you hit neutrally with ice beam

Team Options
========
  • Pokemon that can deal with Mega Swampert's kryptonite, Grass-type Pokemon, are mandatory partners. This makes Bug, Steel, Poison, Flying, and Fire-types exceptional partners. you go into detail about this, this sentence is therefore unnecessary
  • Fire types like Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y deserve special mention for their ability to counter Steel-types that Mega Swampert struggles with such as Magearna and Registeel mswamp doesn't rlly struggle with Registeel, it KOes if it crits once, which will happen 50% of the time. Imo not something you necessarily struggle against, beating Grass-type Pokemon, and countering Will-O-Wisp users such as Mega Sableye neither x nor y reliably counter mega sableye, its set dependent, along with their general prowess in 1v1.
  • Mega Swampert in return can take care of Ground and Rock-type Pokemon that counter them, and take on the ultra offensive Pokemon that threaten to OHKO them. such as?
  • Grass types that threaten other Grass-types, like Kartana and Mega Venusaur mega venu seems subpar based on the list of examples you provided. Maybe change this to Ferrothorn? are fitting partners for Mega-Swampert as they counter opposing Grass-types and Water-types such as?, and both carry STAB options to take care of Fairy-types like Tapu Lele, Mega Gardevoir, Clefable, and Tapu Fini, which Mega Swampert generally struggles with. Mega Swampert in return takes care of most of the Fire, Poison, Ice, and Fighting-types that threaten them. such as?
  • In general, Water/Grass/Fire-type cores are a common place to find Mega Swampert. like what mons? and what does mega swamp do to help the fire water grass core
  • Along with that, Pokemon that carry multi-hit moves and sound-based moves to get through Substitute, a direct counter to Yawn, match well with Mega Swampert. Notable examples, both being Bug Types, include Mega Heracross and Volcarona, the former being a great Scald and Will-O-Wisp absorber thanks to its pre-evolution ability in Guts, access to Bullet Seed and Pin Missile to hit Water-types and Grass-types hiding behind substitute such as?, as well as access to Swords Dance and Close Combat to counter bulky Normal-types like Chansey, Porygon2, and Type: Null. what does mega swampert do in return
  • Volcarona also helps take care of Grass, Steel, and Psychic-type Pokemon, like what? thanks to its unique Fire/Bug typing, while utilizing Bug Buzz to hit through Substitute and hitting from the Special side as opposed to the Physical side. what does swamp do in return?
okayyyy so this entire section needs to include what mega swamp does in return for these teammates, as well as actual examples as to what the teammates hit, not just the typings. Also, you list hitting steel types as a benefit for a teammate to be able to beat, despite the fact that mega swampert beats most steel types? maybe rephrase as 'steel types that are not threatened by Mega Swampert's Earthquake'

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Mega Swampert has little viable options outside of its main set. not relatively true, if these OOs are actually useful enough to be mentioned Ice Punch can be used over Ice Beam as an excuse to run higher or even max Attack EV's, but Ice Beam hits most common Dragon, Ground, Flying, and Grass-types harder. what do you use Ice Punch for over ice beam? what mons specifically.
  • Mega Swampert can also utilize Counter or Mirror Coat thanks to its great mixed bulk, however Yawn + Protect + attacking twice usually does what those moves are trying to do, and with less prediction needed. what does this beat?
  • Waterfall also seems like a good option, as it is STAB, but Ground/Ice coverage hits everything that Water coverage hits, with Waterfall only being used as a surprise for Substitute/Magnetrise Mega Metagross, and Levitate/Flying-type Pokemon that resist Ice Beam, such as Air Balloon Heatran no, you would Ice Beam, Rotom-Heat, or Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X, before Mega Evolving.
  • However, most of these kinds of Pokemon run Will-O-Wisp to cripple Mega Swampert, and the former in Heatran can run Grassium-Z Solar Beam to lure and beat Mega Swampert, and is already beat by Ice Beam + Earthquake. kinda pointless, since 1) you can win if you run waterfall + eq even with will o, and 2) you specifically mentioned AB Heatran, not grassium.
  • Lastly, Rain Dance might seem like a good choice, utilizing Mega Swampert's ability Swift Swim to outspeed much of the metagame and hit hard with its STAB Earthquake and Rain Dance boosted Waterfall, such as? but other set up water types directly outclass this set, including Dragon Dance Mega-Gyarados, Shell Smash Carracosta, and Tail Glow Manaphy, and still running into problems with Stall Pokemon such as? like the main Mega Swampert set we don't mention other sets outside of their own section

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-type Moves**: Mega Swampert's 4x weakness to Grass-type moves means that it gets OHKO'd by most of them. Pokemon carrying Grass STAB such as Kartana, Serperior, and Tapu Bulu, along with Pokemon carrying unexpected Grass-type coverage such as Bloom-Doom Heatran, Grass Knot Greninja, Zeraora, Hoopa-Unbound, and Solar Beam thats standard, don't need to specify Mega Charizard Y directly counter Mega Swampert.

**Physically Oriented Stall Pokemon**: As Mega Swampert is unable to raise its Attack, Iron Defense users like Registeel, Mega Slowbro, and Necrozma along with Will-O-Wisp users like Mega Sableye, Kee Berry Mew, and Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X (you can chip with ice beam, and they can't damage back unless they mega evolve, at which point you can hurt them) can cripple Mega Swampert and beat it.

**Bulky Taunt Users**: Taunt effectively shuts down Mega Swampert's main strategy in Yawn, especially bulky Pokemon that commonly utilize Taunt such as Tapu Fini, Mega Gyarados, Kommo-o, and Whimsicott.

**Substitute**: This move also beats Yawn, and provides an extra obstacle of mind games for Mega Swampert to break through. This move in of itself makes matchups vs Garchomp, Landorus-Therian, and some other Pokemon just say what Pokemon tricky because of its ability to beat Yawn. It forces 50/50's.

**Bulky Ground-immune Pokemon (bc otherwise Ice beam would win)**: Pokemon that should be weak to Ground but carry Magnet Rise like Mega Metagross and Aegislash can be troublesome for Mega Swampert, this includes bulky Flying-type Pokemon like Skarmory and Mega Pidgeot, and Levitate Pokemon such as Latias Mega and Rotom-Wash.

To implement this, click 'reply', then edit the mistakes i pointed out with the replied message, and once that is done, copy and paste the draft over your main post (like it is shown here:

Overall, there is a lot of stuff that needs to be added. First and foremost, you need way more examples of what actual mons you beat. Doing this not only clarifies the usefulness of moves to the reader, but also can help you determine if an option or teammate is practically useful, not just theoretically.

Implement this and tag me so i can check again.

I increased the font of every check you missed last time
[OVERVIEW]
  • Mega Swampert possesses one of the best defensive typing's in the game with Water/Ground, resisting Fire, Rock, Steel, while critically being immune to Electric-type moves, the bane of most Water-type Pokemon.
  • This amazing defensive typing is further fortified by Mega Swampert's amazing 100/110/110 not needed bulk, allowing it to survive a hit from powerful attackers like Porygon-Z, Dragonite, and Pheromosa, and put them to sleep with Yawn + Protect.
  • Mega Swampert's Ground/Ice-type coverage in Earthquake and Ice Beam coming off of an 150atk/95SpA stat not needed hits many common Fire, Steel, Dragon, and Ground-type Pokemon super effectively like Victini, Magnezone, Dragonite, and Garchomp.
  • However, Mega Swampert's main selling point in Yawn is also its biggest downfall, as its reliance on Sleep turns makes it a shaky check to Pokemon it can 2HKO shouldn't it be 'Pokemon that can 2hko it'? like Dragonite, Mega-Medicham, relying on the 66% overall chance that opposing Pokemon stay asleep on turns 1 and 2.
  • Furthermore, with no access to stat boosting moves and an over-reliance on a Status move Turn 1, Mega Swampert is usually countered by defense boosting Pokemon, Pokemon with access to Taunt or Substitute, and a plethora of other stall-oriented Pokemon like Deoxys-Speed, Necrozma, and Mega Slowbro
  • Lastly, Mega-Swampert's Water/Ground typing has a glaring 4x Grass-type weakness, making it susceptible to Grass types like Serperior and Grass-type coverage like Solar Beam on Mega Charizard-Y
base stats without context to new players are meaningless, best to just say 'great bulk/offensive'

  • Do not send Mega Swampert into predicted Pokemon with Grass-type moves, and versatile Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Greninja, and Hoopa-Unbound that can try to lure in Mega Swampert with their Grass-type coverage.
  • Mega Swampert should also not be picked versus teams with multiple stall Pokemon, such as teams containing Mega Sableye, Type Null, or Registeel.
  • Sadly bulky Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados can stay in their regular forms and immunize themselves of Earthquake, while shaking off Ice beam with ease thanks to their secondary typing's, so picking into common Water/Fire/Grass-type cores with those Pokemon is not advised
  • However, Mega Swampert is a great pick versus Hyper Offense teams that have multiple powerful attackers that are frail enough to be OHKO'd or 2HKO's by Mega Swampert, such as Nagandel, Genesect, and Pheromosa
  • During battle, Yawning turn 1 is usually your best choice of action, as the idea of Yawn + Protect Mega Swampert is to live a hit; Yawn, Protect the ensuing hit, and 2HKO your opponent hoping for no turn 2 wake. Protecting turn 1 is only advised versus powerful Fake-Out Pokemon like Mega-Medicham and Mega-Lopunny, to prevent chip damage.
  • Protecting turn 2 is always advised unless your opponent can take advantage of it with defense boosting moves, then you'll need to play mindgames versus Pokemon like Iron Defense Magearna and Bulk Up Incineroar 1. Magearna will just beat you after two iron defenses, 2 you never yawn vs incin, just spam eq

Team Options
========
  • Fire types like Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y deserve special mention for their ability to counter Steel-types that Mega Swampert struggles with such as Magearna and Registeel beating Grass-type Pokemon such as?, and countering Will-O-Wisp users such as Victini you crush Victini and Volcarona, along with their general prowess in 1v1.
  • Mega Swampert in return can take care of Ground and Rock-type Pokemon that counter them such as Mega Diancie, Donphan, Garchomp and take on the ultra offensive Pokemon that threaten to OHKO them such as Archeops and Lycanroc
  • Grass types that threaten other Grass-types, like Kartana and Ferrothorn, are fitting partners for Mega-Swampert as they counter opposing Grass-types and Water-types such as Serperior, Tapu Bulu, Mega Gyarados, and Tapu Fini, with their secondary STAB options. Furthermore their secondary Steel-type helps versus Fairy-type Pokemon that Mega Swampert struggles with such as Clefable and Taunt/Will-O-Wisp Mega Gardevoir. Mega Swampert in return takes care of most of the Fire, Poison, and Fighting-types that threaten them such as Blacephalon, Nagandel, and Mega Lopunny
  • Along with that, Pokemon that carry multi-hit moves and sound-based moves to get through Substitute, a direct counter to Yawn, match well with Mega Swampert. Notable examples, both being Bug Types, include Mega Heracross and Volcarona, the former being a great Scald lol no mon used scald outside of slowbro, which you outspeed and KO in mega and Will-O-Wisp absorber thanks to its pre-evolution ability in Guts, access to Bullet Seed and Pin Missile to hit Water-types and Grass-types hiding behind substitute like Greninja, Primarina, Serperior, and Whimsicott, as well as access to Swords Dance and don't need SD for any of those mus Close Combat to counter bulky Normal-types like Chansey, Porygon2, and Type: Null. Mega Swampert in return can deal with Pokemon Mega Heracross struggles against including Flying-types like Flynium-Z Dragonite, Flynium-Z Landorus-Therian, and non-Substitute Mega-Pinsir, as well as some offensive Fire-types including Mega Blaziken and Victini.
  • Volcarona also helps take care of Steel-types not hit hard by Earthquake, and Psychic-type Pokemon, such as Celsteela, Magnet Rise Mega Metagross, Mega Mawile, Mew, and Necrozma, thanks to its unique Fire/Bug typing, while utilizing Bug Buzz to hit through Substitute and hitting from the Special side as opposed to the Physical side. Mega Swampert in return helps counter Rock-type Pokemon like Golem, Crustle, and Pokemon carrying Rock-type coverage including Stone Edge Sawk and Stone Edge Garchomp.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Mega Swampert can utilize Counter or Mirror Coat thanks to its great mixed bulk, potentially beating Mega Charizard-X by Countering an Outrage, and some Special Pokemon like Specs Nagandel you ohko with eq and Porygon-Z without having to rely on no turn 2 wake, but you don't need to rely on wakes with pz, you either eq twice after protecting for scarf, or yawn after breakneck blitz, followed by an EQ on the turn they recharge. however Yawn + Protect + attacking twice usually does what those moves are trying to do, and with less prediction needed on Pokemon that can run powerful physical or special movesets like Hoopa-Unbound and Pheromosa
  • Waterfall also seems like a good option, as it is STAB, but Ground/Ice coverage hits everything that Water coverage hits, with Waterfall only being used as a surprise for Substitute/Magnet Rise Mega Metagross, and Levitate/Flying-type Pokemon that resist Ice Beam such as, Rotom-Heat or Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X, before Mega Evolving.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-type Moves**: Mega Swampert's 4x weakness to Grass-type moves means that it gets OHKO'd by most of them. Pokemon carrying Grass STAB such as Kartana, Serperior, and Tapu Bulu, along with Pokemon carrying unexpected Grass-type coverage such as Bloom-Doom Heatran, Grass Knot Greninja, Zeraora, Hoopa-Unbound, and Mega Charizard Y solar beam is not unexpected directly counter Mega Swampert.

**Physically Oriented Stall Pokemon**: As Mega Swampert is unable to raise its Attack, Iron Defense users like Registeel, Mega Slowbro, and Necrozma along with Will-O-Wisp users like Mega Sableye and Kee Berry Mew, can cripple Mega Swampert and beat it.

This move in of itself makes matchups vs Garchomp, Landorus-Therian, Mega-Lopunny, and Greninja tricky because of its ability to beat Yawn.

**Bulky Ground-immune Pokemon (Otherwise Ice Beam would win)**: Pokemon that should be weak to Ground but carry Magnet Rise like Mega Metagross and Aegislash can be troublesome for Mega Swampert, this includes bulky Flying-type Pokemon like Skarmory and Mega Pidgeot, and Levitate Pokemon such as Latias Mega and Rotom-Wash.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Mega Swampert possesses one of the best defensive typing's in the game with Water/Ground, resisting Fire, Rock, Steel, while critically being immune to Electric-type moves, the bane of most Water-type Pokemon.
  • This amazing defensive typing is further fortified by Mega Swampert's amazing bulk, allowing it to survive a hit from powerful attackers like Porygon-Z, Dragonite, and Pheromosa, and put them to sleep with Yawn + Protect.
  • Mega Swampert's Ground/Ice-type coverage in Earthquake and Ice Beam coming hits many common Fire, Steel, Dragon, and Ground-type Pokemon super effectively like Victini, Magnezone, Dragonite, and Garchomp.
  • However, Mega Swampert's main selling point in Yawn is also its biggest downfall, as its reliance on Sleep turns makes it a shaky check to Pokemon that can 2HKO it. like Dragonite, Mega-Medicham, relying on the 66% overall chance that opposing Pokemon stay asleep on turns 1 and 2.
  • Furthermore, with no access to stat boosting moves and an over-reliance on a Status move Turn 1 or 2, Mega Swampert is usually countered by defense boosting Pokemon, Pokemon with access to Taunt or Substitute, and a plethora of other stall-oriented Pokemon like Deoxys-Speed, Necrozma, and Mega Slowbro In cases where you need to Protect to scout moves or block Fake Out
  • Lastly, Mega-Swampert's Water/Ground typing has a glaring 4x Grass-type weakness, making it susceptible to Grass types like Serperior, Ferrothorn, and Kartana and Grass-type coverage like Solar Beam on Mega Charizard-Y and Greninja. You didn't give many examples

Moves
  • Access to Yawn is the main reason to use Mega Swampert, a sleep move with 100% accuracy causing the foe to fall asleep the next turn. This is used against Pokemon like Charizard, Sawk, Crustle, and Haxorus Charizard can just not mega-evolve if X and just use Solar Beam if Y.
  • Protect is used in combination with Yawn to ensure the opponent falls asleep the next by preventing Mega Swampert from getting attacked Encored, Statused, or having its stats dropped on turn 2 or 3 by Pokemon like Encore Mega Lopunny, Toxic Mega Blastoise, or Noble Roar Kyurem
    "Protect is used in combination with Yawn to ensure the opponent falls asleep" I mean this is just worded badly as you don't need Protect for them to fall asleep turn 2/3.
    "from getting attacked" Give an example of blocking an attack, Fake Out/High Jump Kick from Mega Medicham/Mega Lopunny, Hyper Beam from Porygon-Z, and a Hyper Beam from Meloetta can all be used.
    "turn 2" Can also be turn 3 as I said above.
    "Encore Mega Lopunny, Toxic Mega Blastoise" Give some better examples than this, these are both not main sets for the mons so it would be misleading. Noble Roar Kyurem is okay
  • Earthquake is Mega Swampert's most powerful STAB move, hitting extremely hard with EV investment and a base 150 attack stat. This allows it to KO Pokemon you don't need to Yawn to win against, like Zeraora, Magnezone, and Blacephalon
  • Ice Beam allows Mega Swampert to counter the many Flying types that are immune to Earthquake, and hit specific Pokemon 4x effectively, including metagame staples like Landorus-Therian, Garchomp, Dragonite, and Zygarde. ...The many Flying-types? What other than Landorus-T?

  • 208 HP is used to maximize Mega Swampert's great mixed bulk, as well as live Z-Outrage from Dragonite, as well as anything physical nukes like Mega Medicham or Mega Loppuny can throw at you, so you can Yawn turn 1 2. Protect turn 1 vs Mlop and Mmedi because fake out
  • 248 SpD paired with this 208 hp allows Mega Swampert to beat both Normalium-Z and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, as it lives a Z-Hyper Beam, and prevents Uproar from 2HKOing on Choice Scarf.
  • 36 SpA is needed to guarantee a 2HKO on 252HP Dragonite with Ice Beam after a Yawn.
  • 16 Atk and a Brave Nature is where the rest of the EV's go as leftovers. while the Brave nature allows Mega Swampert to not hinder its important mixed attack. This puts it at a base 158 Speed, still enough to outspeed and put to sleep uninvested base 60's like bulky Primarina and Incineroar.
  • An alternative EV spread of 248 HP, 28 Atk, 232 SpA with a Brave nature can be used to be able to guarantee the OHKO vs Substitute variants of Landorus-Therian and Garchomp, while also guaranteeing a 2HKO vs Groundium-Z Zygarde, without having to worry about potential Substitute mindgames.

Usage Tips
========
  • Do not send Mega Swampert into predicted Pokemon with Grass-type moves, and versatile Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Greninja, and Hoopa-Unbound that can try to lure in Mega Swampert with their Grass-type coverage. Already loses to Hoopa-Unbound because of Hyperspace Fury/Hole shenanigans

Mew wins against Charizard X, MGarde is a better option
  • Mega Swampert in return can take care of Ground and Rock-type Pokemon that counter them such as Mega Diancie, Donphan, Garchomp and take on the ultra offensive Pokemon that threaten to OHKO them such as Archeops, Golem, Terrakion, Rampardos and Lycanroc-Dusk
Pokemon carrying Grass STAB such as Kartana, Serperior, and Tapu Bulu, along with Pokemon carrying unexpected Grass-type coverage such as Bloom-Doom Heatran, Grass Knot Greninja, Zeraora, and Hoopa-Unbound, directly counter Mega Swampert.

This move in of itself makes matchups vs Garchomp, Landorus-Therian, Mega-Lopunny, and Greninja tricky because of its ability to beat Yawn.

**Bulky Ground-immune Pokemon)**: Pokemon that should be weak to Ground but carry Magnet Rise like Mega Metagross and Aegislash can be troublesome for Mega Swampert, this includes bulky Flying-type Pokemon like Skarmory and Mega Pidgeot, and Levitate Pokemon such as Latias Mega and Rotom-Wash.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Mega Swampert possesses one of the best defensive typing's in the game with Water/Ground, resisting Fire, Rock, Steel, while critically being immune to Electric-type moves, the bane of most Water-type Pokemon.
  • This amazing defensive typing is further fortified by Mega Swampert's amazing bulk (vary your wording - replace one of these "amazing"s with a different adjective), allowing it to survive a hit from powerful attackers like Porygon-Z, Dragonite, and Pheromosa, and put them to sleep with Yawn + Protect.
  • Mega Swampert's Ground/Ice-type coverage in Earthquake and Ice Beam coming hits many common Fire, Steel, Dragon, and Ground-type Pokemon super effectively like Victini, Magnezone, Dragonite, and Garchomp.
  • However, Mega Swampert's main selling point in Yawn is also its biggest downfall, as its reliance on Sleep turns makes it a shaky check to Pokemon that can 2HKO it. like Dragonite, Mega-Medicham (I don't think that Medicham is the most relevant example here. You can keep it if you like, but also mention a more relevant example like Mega Lopunny or Donphan), relying on the 66% overall chance that opposing Pokemon stay asleep on turns 1 and 2.
  • Furthermore, with no access to stat boosting moves (untrue - Swampert can somewhat viably run Curse. change this) and an over-reliance on a status move turn 1, Mega Swampert is usually countered by Defense boosting Pokemon, Pokemon with access to Taunt or Substitute, and a plethora of other stall-oriented Pokemon like Deoxys-Speed, Necrozma, and Mega Slowbro (All of these fall under "Defense boosting Pokemon." Replace ", and a plethora of other stall-oriented Pokemon like" with "including" or change the mons you mention to make the current wording make sense)
  • Lastly, Mega-Swampert's Water/Ground typing has a glaring 4x Grass-type weakness, making it susceptible to Grass-type Pokemon like Serperior and Grass-type coverage like Solar Beam on Mega Charizard-Y.

  • Protect is used in combination with Yawn to ensure the opponent falls asleep the next turn by preventing Mega Swampert from getting attacked or being afflicted with Encore, status, or stat reductions Encored, Statused, or having its stats dropped on turn 2 by Pokemon like Encore Mega Lopunny, Toxic Mega Blastoise, or Noble Roar Kyurem.

  • 208 HP is used to maximize Mega Swampert's great mixed bulk, as well as live by living a Z-Outrage from Dragonite, as well as anything physical nukes like Mega Medicham or Mega Loppuny can throw at you, so you Mega Swampert can use Yawn on turn 1.
  • 248 SpD paired with this 208 HP allows Mega Swampert to beat both Normalium-Z and Choice Scarf Porygon-Z, as it lives by living a Z-Hyper Beam, and preventing Uproar from 2HKOing on Choice Scarf.
  • 36 SpA is needed to guarantee a that Ice Beam 2HKOs on 252 HP Dragonite after a Yawn.
  • 16 Atk and a Brave Nature Attack is where the rest of the remaining EV's go as leftovers. while theA Brave nature allows Mega Swampert to not hinder its important mixed attack Special Attack while increasing its Attack. This puts it at a base 158 Speed, still enough to outspeed uninvested base 60's like bulky Primarina and Incineroar.
  • An alternative EV spread of 248 HP, 28 Atk, and 232 SpA with a Brave nature can be used to be able to guarantee the OHKO vs Substitute variants of Landorus-Therian and Garchomp, while also guaranteeing a 2HKO vs Groundium-Z Zygarde, without having to worry about potential Substitute mindgames.

Usage Tips
========
(Reword. It's sometimes necessary to pick it if it beats the third mon on a team - use less absolute language like "usually" or "it's not a good idea to...")
  • Sadly, bulky Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados can stay in their regular forms and immunize themselves of Earthquake, while shaking off Ice beam with ease thanks to their secondary typing's, so picking into common Water/Fire/Grass-type cores with those Pokemon is not advised.
  • However, Mega Swampert is a great pick versus hyper offense teams that have multiple powerful attackers that are frail enough to be OHKO'd or 2HKO's by Mega Swampert, such as Nagandel, Genesect, and Pheromosa.
  • During battle, Yawning turn 1 is usually your best choice of action, as the idea of Yawn + Protect Mega Swampert is to live a hit;, use Yawn into Protect the ensuing hit, and 2HKO your opponent hoping for no turn 2 wake. Using Protecting on turn 1 is only advised versus powerful Fake Out Pokemon like Mega-Medicham and Flail Mega-Lopunny (Giga Impact Lopunny won't KO even with Fake Out damage and can Encore you into Protect), to prevent chip damage.
  • It is also important to use Protect turn 1 when facing off against Porygon-Z, as this allows you to scout if they are Choice Scarf and used Uproar, in which case you can proceed to use Earthquake twice as Uproar does not 2HKO you and Earthquake always 2HKO's them,. If they clicked Z-Hyper Beam or Hyper Beam, you shall continue with the normal process of using Yawn turn 2 and Protect turn 3, and then using Earthquake to 2HKO.
  • If using the alternate EV Spread of 248 HP, 28 Atk, 232 SpA with a Brave nature, choosing Mega Swampert against teams with Substitute variants of Zygarde, Garchomp, Landorus-Therian is a solid choice, and during those matchups Ice Beam is the move of choice, as it will always 2HKO Zygarde and OHKO both Landorus-Therian and Garchomp with them not being able to OHKO or 2HKO back, and OHKO both Landorus-Therian and Garchomp.

Team Options
========
  • Fire types like Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y deserve special mention for their ability to counter Steel- and Grass-types that Mega Swampert struggles with such as Magearna, and Registeel, beating Grass-type Pokemon such as Tapu-Bulu, Serperior, and Ferrothorn, and alongside countering Will-O-Wisp users such as Mew and Volcarona, along with their general prowess in 1v1.
  • Mega Swampert in return can take care of Ground and Rock-type Pokemon that counter them such as Mega Diancie, Donphan, Garchomp and take on the ultra offensive Pokemon that threaten to OHKO them such as Archeops and Lycanroc
  • Grass types that threaten other Grass-types, like Kartana and Ferrothorn (Ferrothorn loses to most other Grass types that don't rely on Leech Seed. Change Ferrothorn to a different mon or change "Grass types that threaten other Grass-types" to something more accurate for Ferrothorn), are fitting partners for Mega-Swampert as they counter opposing Grass-types and Water-types such as Serperior, Tapu Bulu, Mega Gyarados, and Tapu Fini, with their secondary STAB options.
Notable examples, both being Bug Types, include Mega Heracross and Volcarona, with the former being a great Will-O-Wisp absorber thanks to its pre-evolution ability in Guts, access to Bullet Seed and Pin Missile to hit Water-types and Grass-types hiding behind substitute like Greninja, Primarina, Serperior, and Whimsicott, as well as access to Close Combat to counter bulky Normal-types like Chansey, Porygon2, and Type: Null.
  • Volcarona also helps take care of Steel-types not hit hard by Earthquake, and Psychic-type Pokemon, such as Celesteela, Magnet Rise Mega Metagross, Mega Mawile, Mew, and Necrozma, thanks to its unique Fire/Bug typing, while utilizing Bug Buzz to hit through Substitute and hitting from the special side as opposed to the physical side. Mega Swampert in return helps counter Rock-type Pokemon like Golem, Crustle, and Pokemon carrying Rock-type coverage including Stone Edge Sawk and Stone Edge Garchomp.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Mega Swampert can utilize Counter or Mirror Coat thanks to its great mixed bulk, potentially beating Mega Charizard-X by Countering an Outrage, and some special Pokemon like Choice Specs Latios. However, Yawn + Protect and attacking twice usually does what those moves are trying to do, and with less prediction needed on Pokemon that can run powerful physical or special movesets like Hoopa-Unbound and Pheromosa.

Sadly, bulky Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados can stay in their regular forms pre-Mega formes and immunize themselves of to Earthquake (RC) while shaking off Ice Beam with ease thanks to their secondary typing's typings, so picking Mega Swampert into common Water/Fire/Grass-type Fire / Water / Grass cores with those these Pokemon is not advised. However, Mega Swampert is a great pick versus hyper offense teams that have multiple powerful attackers that are frail enough to be OHKO'd OHKOed or 2HKO's 2HKOed by Mega Swampert and are also unable to OHKO it in return (subjective change) such as Nagandel, Genesect, and Pheromosa. During battle, Yawning using Yawn turn 1 one is usually your best choice course (subjective change) of action; (SC) as the idea of Yawn + Protect Mega Swampert is to live a hit, use Yawn into Protect and 2HKO afterwards, use Protect, then try to KO your opponent. Using Protect on turn 1 one is only advised versus powerful Fake Out Pokemon users like Mega (RH)Medicham and Flail Mega (RH)Lopunny (RC) to prevent chip damage that might otherwise let them OHKO you Mega Swampert. It is also important to use Protect turn 1 one when facing off against Porygon-Z, (AC) as this allows you to scout if they use it uses Uproar, in which case you can proceed to use Earthquake twice, (AC) as Uproar does not 2HKO you Mega Swampert and Earthquake will always 2HKO them it. If they clicked Z-Hyper Beam Porygon-Z uses Breakneck Blitz or Hyper Beam, you shall Mega Swampert should continue with the normal process of using Yawn turn 2 two and Protect turn 3 three, and then using Earthquake to 2HKO Porygon-Z. If using the alternate EV spread of 248 HP, 28 Atk, 232 SpA 248 HP / 28 Atk / 232 SpA with a Brave nature, choosing Mega Swampert against teams with Zygarde, Garchomp, and Landorus-Therian Landorus-T is a solid choice, and during those matchups Ice Beam is the move of choice, as it will always 2HKO Zygarde and OHKO both Landorus-Therian Landorus-T and Garchomp, (AC) with them not being able to OHKO or 2HKO 2HKO or OHKO Mega Swampert back, (AC) respectively.

Fire-(AH)types like Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y deserve special mention for their ability to counter Steel- and Grass-types that Mega Swampert struggles with such as Magearna, Registeel,(fix spacing)Tapu (RH)Bulu, Serperior, and Ferrothorn, alongside countering as well as Will-O-Wisp users such as Mew and Volcarona. Mega Swampert, (AC) in return, (AC) can take care of Ground-(AH) and Rock-type Pokemon that counter them such as non-(AH)Magnet (RH)Rise Mega Diancie, Donphan, Garchomp, and Archeops. Grass-(AH)types like Kartana and Ferrothorn are fitting partners for Mega (RH)Swampert, (AC) as they counter opposing Grass-types and Water-types such as Whimsicott, Tapu Bulu, Mega Gyarados, and Tapu Fini with their secondary STAB options. Furthermore, (AC) their secondary Steel-type helps Steel typing helps versus Fairy-type Pokemon that Mega Swampert struggles with such as Clefable and Taunt(add space)/(add space)Will-O-Wisp (if you meant gardevoir with taunt or gardevoir with willo, keep the slash. if you meant gardevoir with both taunt and willo, change to "Taunt + Will-O-Wisp Mega Gardevoir".) Mega Gardevoir. Mega Swampert, (AC) in return, (AC) takes care of most of the Fire-(AH), Poison-(AH), and Fighting-types that threaten them such as Blacephalon, Nagandel, and Mega Lopunny. Along with that, Pokemon that carry multi-hit moves and sound-based moves to get through Substitute, a direct counter to which blocks Yawn, match well with Mega Swampert. Notable examples (RC) both being Bug Types, (unnecessary) include Mega Heracross and Volcarona, (AC) with the former being a great Will-O-Wisp absorber thanks to its pre-evolution pre-Mega ability in Guts, access to Bullet Seed and Pin Missile to hit Water-types Water- and Grass-types hiding behind substitute Substitute like Greninja, Primarina, Serperior, and Whimsicott, as well as access to Close Combat to counter bulky Normal-types like Chansey, Porygon2, and Type: Null. Volcarona also helps take care of Steel-types that are not hit hard by Earthquake and Psychic-type Pokemon such as Celesteela, Magnet Rise Mega Metagross, Mega Mawile, Mew, and Necrozma thanks to its unique Fire(add space)/(add space)Bug typing, while also utilizing Bug Buzz to hit through Substitute and hitting from the special side as opposed to the physical side to complement Mega Swampert's physical attacking prowess (makes it clearer why hitting from the special side more desirable). Mega Swampert, (AC) in return, (AC) helps counter Rock-type Pokemon like Golem (RC) and Crustle (RC) and Pokemon carrying Rock-type coverage including Stone Edge Sawk and Stone Edge Garchomp.

Mega Swampert can utilize Counter or Mirror Coat thanks to its great mixed bulk, potentially baiting Mega Charizard (RH)X by Countering an using Counter into Outrage, and some special Pokemon (replace with either "some special attackers" or "certain Pokemon" depending on what you meant) like Choice Specs Latios. Checks and Counters

**Grass-type Moves**: Mega Swampert's 4x weakness to Grass-type moves means that it gets OHKO'd OHKOed by most of them. Pokemon carrying Grass STAB Grass-types such as Kartana, Serperior, and Tapu Bulu (RC) along with Pokemon carrying unexpected Grass-type coverage such as Bloom (RH)Doom Heatran, Grass Knot Greninja, and Hoopa-Unbound Hoopa-U (RC) directly counter Mega Swampert.

**Physically-(AH)Oriented Stall Pokemon**: As Mega Swampert is unable to raise its Attack, Iron Defense users like Registeel, Mega Slowbro, and Necrozma along with Will-O-Wisp users like Mega Sableye and Kee Berry Mew (RC) can cripple Mega Swampert and beat it.

**Bulky Taunt Users**: Taunt effectively shuts down Mega Swampert's main strategy in Yawn, especially coming off of bulky Pokemon that commonly utilize Taunt such as Tapu Fini, Mega Gyarados, Kommo-o, and Whimsicott.

**Substitute**: This move Substitute also beats blocks Yawn (RC) and provides an extra obstacle of mind games mindgames for Mega Swampert to break through. This move in and of itself makes matchups vs versus Garchomp, Landorus-Therian Landorus-T, Mega (RH)Lopunny, and Greninja tricky because of its ability to beat Yawn (repetition).

**Bulky Ground-immune Pokemon(remove parenthesis)**: Pokemon that should be weak to Ground but carry Magnet Rise Magnet Rise users like Mega Metagross and Aegislash can be troublesome for Mega Swampert, this includes as well as bulky Flying-type Pokemon like Skarmory and Mega Pidgeot (RC) and Levitate Pokemon such as Latias Mega Mega Latias and Rotom-Wash Rotom-W.

[OVERVIEW]
Mega Swampert possesses one of the best defensive typing's typings in the game with in Water(add space)/(add space)Ground, resisting with resistances to Fire, Rock, and Steel while critically being immune and a critical immunity to Electric-type moves, the bane of most Water-type Pokemon. This strong great defensive typing is further fortified by Mega Swampert's amazing bulk, allowing it to survive a hit from powerful attackers like Porygon-Z, Dragonite, and Pheromosa (RC) and put them to sleep with the combination of Yawn and Protect. (or keep entirely as is tbh, it's not wrong since the plus implies the combination) Mega Swampert's Ground(add space)/(add space)Ice-type coverage in Earthquake and Ice Beam coming hits many common Fire-(AH), Steel-(AH), Dragon-(AH), and Ground-type Pokemon super effectively like Victini, Magnezone, Dragonite, and Garchomp. However, Mega Swampert's main selling point in Yawn is also its biggest downfall, as its reliance on sleep turns makes it a shaky check to Pokemon that can 2HKO it like Dragonite, Mega Medicham, and Mega Lopunny, relying on the 66% chance that opposing Pokemon stay asleep on turns 1 and 2 for at least two turns. Furthermore, no access to with a lack of usable stat-boosting (RH) moves and an over(RH)reliance on sleep turns, Mega Swampert is usually countered by a plethora of stall-oriented Pokemon with access to Taunt like Deoxys-Speed Deoxys-S, Mew, and Mega Sableye(RC) or access to Defense-(AH)boosting moves like Mega Slowbro (RC) and Mega Altaria. Lastly, Mega Swampert's (RH) Water(add space)/(add space)Ground typing has gives it (the Pokemon, not the typing, has the weakness) a glaring 4x Grass-type weakness, making it susceptible to Grass-type Pokemon like Serperior and Grass-type coverage like Solar Beam on from Mega Charizard (RH)Y and Grass Knot on from Greninja. Fire-(AH)types like Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y deserve a special mention for their ability to counter Steel- and Grass-types that Mega Swampert struggles with such as Magearna, Registeel,(fix spacing)Tapu (RH)Bulu, Serperior, and Ferrothorn, alongside countering as well as Will-O-Wisp users such as Mew and Volcarona. Along with that, Pokemon that carry multi-hit moves and sound-based moves to get through Substitute, a direct counter to Yawn, match well with Mega Swampert. Notable examples (RC) both being Bug Types, (unnecessary) include Mega Heracross and Volcarona, (AC) with the former being a great Will-O-Wisp absorber thanks to its pre-evolution pre-Mega ability in Guts (RC) and access to Bullet Seed and Pin Missile to hit Water-types Water- and Grass-types hiding behind substitute Substitute like Greninja, Primarina, Serperior, and Whimsicott, as well as access to Close Combat to counter bulky Normal-types like Chansey, Porygon2, and Type: Null. Mega Swampert, (AC) in return, (AC) can deal with Pokemon Mega Heracross struggles against including Flying-types like Flynium Flyinium (RH)Z Dragonite, Flynium Flyinium (RH)Z Landorus-Therian Landorus-T, and non-Substitute Mega (RH)Pinsir, as well as some offensive Fire-types including Mega Blaziken and Victini. Volcarona also helps take care of Steel-types not hit hard by Earthquake and Psychic-type Pokemon such as Celesteela, Magnet Rise Mega Metagross, Mega Mawile, Mew, and Necrozma thanks to its unique Fire(add space)/(add space)Bug typing (RC) while also utilizing Bug Buzz to hit through Substitute and hitting from the inflicting special side damage as opposed to the physical side to complement Mega Swampert's physical attacking prowess (makes it clearer why hitting from the special side more desirable). (if writer wants go for it, if not change the physical side to physical) Mega Swampert, (AC) in return, (AC) helps counter Rock-type Pokemon like Golem (RC) and Crustle (RC) and Pokemon carrying Rock-type coverage including Stone Edge Sawk and Stone Edge Garchomp.

Mega Swampert can utilize Counter or Mirror Coat thanks to its great mixed bulk, potentially baiting Mega Charizard (RH)X by Countering an into using Outrage (RC) and surprising some special Pokemon attackers like Choice Specs Latios. However, using Yawn + Protect and attacking twice usually does accomplishes (subjective change to reduce repetition) what those these moves are trying to do with less prediction needed on against powerful Pokemon that can run powerful (moved) physical or special movesets like Hoopa-Unbound Hoopa-U and Pheromosa. Waterfall also seems like a good option, as it is boosted by STAB, but Ground(add space)/(add space)Ice coverage already hits everything that Water-type coverage hits, with Waterfall only being used as a useful to surprise for Substitute/Magnet Rise Substitute + Magnet Rise Mega Metagross (RC) and Levitate/Flying-type Levitate users and Flying-type Pokemon that resist Ice Beam such as Rotom-Heat Rotom-H or and Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X before Mega Evolving it Mega Evolves.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-type Moves**: Mega Swampert's 4x weakness to Grass-type moves means that it gets OHKO'd OHKOed by most of them. Pokemon carrying Grass STAB Grass-types such as Kartana, Serperior, and Tapu Bulu (RC) along with Pokemon carrying unexpected Grass-type coverage such as Bloom (RH)Doom Heatran, Grass Knot Greninja, and Hoopa-Unbound Hoopa-U (RC) directly counter Mega Swampert.

**Physically Oriented Stall Pokemon**: As Mega Swampert is unable to raise its Attack, Iron Defense users like Registeel, Mega Slowbro, and Necrozma along with Will-O-Wisp users like Mega Sableye and Kee Berry Mew (RC) can cripple Mega Swampert and beat it.

**Bulky Taunt Users**: Taunt effectively shuts down Mega Swampert's main strategy in Yawn, especially from bulky Pokemon that commonly utilize Taunt the move such as Tapu Fini, Mega Gyarados, Kommo-o, and Whimsicott.

**Bulky Ground-immune Pokemon(remove parenthesis)**: Pokemon that should be weak to Ground but carry Magnet Rise Magnet Rise users like Mega Metagross and Aegislash can be troublesome for Mega Swampert, this includes as can bulky Flying-type Pokemon like Skarmory and Mega Pidgeot (RC) and Levitate Pokemon such as Latias Mega Mega Latias and Rotom-Wash Rotom-W.

Moves

Yawn should be used against Pokemon like Charizard, Sawk, Crustle, and Haxorus. Protect is used in combination with Yawn to ensure that the opponent foe falls asleep the next turn by preventing Mega Swampert from getting attacked or being affected by Encore, status conditions, or Encore from Pokemon like Mega Lopunny.

Set Details
========
A Brave nature allows Mega Swampert to not hinder its Special Attack while increasing its Attack, (RC) at the expense of its Speed, a stat it does not need very much.

Usage Tips
========
Do not send Mega Swampert into versatile Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y, Greninja, and Hoopa-U, (AC) as they can try to lure in Mega Swampert with their Grass-type coverage. It is also important to use Protect turn 1 when facing off against Porygon-Z, as this allows you to scout if it uses Uproar, in which case you can proceed to use Earthquake twice, as Uproar does not 2HKO Mega Swampert, (AC) and Earthquake will always 2HKO Porygon-Z. If Porygon-Z uses Breakneck Blitz or Hyper Beam, Mega Swampert should continue with the normal process of using Yawn turn 2 and Protect turn 3, and then using Earthquake to 2HKO Porygon-Z. If using the alternate EV spread of 248 HP / 28 Atk / 232 SpA with a Brave nature, Mega Swampert is a solid choice against teams with Zygarde, Garchomp, and Landorus-T, and during those matchups Ice Beam is the move of choice in those matchups, as it will always 2HKO Zygarde and OHKO both Landorus-T and Garchomp, with them not being able to KO Mega Swampert back.
