Megas For All (Read the whole 1st post and check current slate)

What if Pachi became a gliding Squirrel, say a Levitating Electric type. Unlike Eel, it would be defensive and mostly stick to using Nuzzle, Super Fang and Volt Switch to break momentum.
I don't think making Mega-Emolga is the way to go. I'm content to leave it as an Electric type, though if you wanted Fairy does seem to be a possibility, but you'd go from stepping on Emolga's toes to Dedenne's.

Pachirisu's god awful attack stats make this a tough one. I'm thinking the best we can manage will be a fast supporter. Throwing most of its stats into speed and defences will be the way I'll go. I can see it using Taunt (albeit in a very cute manner) to Disrupt stallers and then using either Volt Switch or U-turn to bring in an appropriate offensive Pokemon. U-turn is viable in my eyes, as there are no Pokemon immune to it, as apposed to the numerous Pokemon with Electrical immunities.

Its move set may look something like this:
-Super Fang
-Volt Switch/U-turn
-Nuzzle/Toxic
-Taunt


As for abilites; Volt Absorb, Motor Drive or Cute Charm are the stand outs. Cute Charm is a really nice fit, but I don't think Pachirisu is a Pokemon I'd like to leave in against most things. Volt Absorb fits Pachirisu's Pokedex entries nicely, offers a chance to recover health and gives some potential switch ins.

In the end it still won't be amazing and there may be better choices, but it's the best I can come up with.

Prankster seems pretty decent and doesn't really contradict anything. And stop making the wanna be pikachu's fairy Dedenne should probably be the only one tbh

Yeah, I really don't like giving things Fairy just because they're small and cute either. Only suggested it given Pachirisu's in the Fairy Egg Group.

Prankster could definitely work (and would still be cute). I actually like your would-be suggestion of Electric/Grass. It's a cool typing and could be fun to see what we could get out of the added Grass typing. Make it happen!
 
List of useful(imo) signature moves and my view on their distribution:

Aeroblast: A bit conflicted on this one. On one hand, it's a legendary sig move; on the other hand, it's not really heavily tied to Lugia's flavor and putting it on things like Rotom-S still makes sense flavor wise... No comments.
Never mind, Articuno got it already. Allow Aeroblast.
Attack Order/Defense Order/Heal Order: I don't think we'd ever see a Mega other that Vespiquen with bee commanding abilities, so Disallow Attack Order.
Blue Flare/Bolt Strike: Counterpart moves, might as well put them together. These two are too strong and lacks drawback to be given to anything other than Reshiram/Zekrom and Victini. Disallow Blue Flare/Bolt Strike.
Bone Club/Bonemerang: Both bone-themed moves, should be fine giving them to Megas with bones usable as weapons. Allow Bone Club/Bonemerang.
Chatter: Don't really have any opinion on this. Just don't throw it on everyone and demolish Chatot's niche(?), kay? No comments.
Dark Void: Once again, sig move of the legendary of nightmare, but then Hypno and Musharna both have that 'dream' theme. No comments.
Diamond Storm: I would've been completely fine with it were it not for that 50% chance to raise Defense, but it probably wouldn't do much. Allow Diamond Storm.
Doom Desire: Kind of a niche move which means not really many things would use it anyways, but it is definitely a flavor move to Jirachi that I don't think fits anything else. Disallow Doom Desire.
Electrify: Sure, no problems here. Allow Electrify.
Fiery Dance: I'm fine with this, but Fiery Dance might have the potential to completely break some of the Megas, so don't give it to a Mega simply because the flavor fits. Allow Fiery Dance.
Flying Press: I'm not exactly sure how good this move is, but I guess it wouldn't be too powerful. Allow Flying Press.
Fusion Bolt/Fusion Flare: Fusion Flare is just a stronger Flamethrower without the burn effect, while Fusion Bolt is the stronger Wild Charge without the recoil. But then, there needs to be a stronger physical Electric move,and neither move have that much of a flavor issue, so I'd say Allow Fusion Bolt/Fusion Flare.
Gear Grind/Shift Gear: Shift Gear used to be Klinklang's signature move, but then Genesect got it. tbh, any machine-based Megas should fit flavor wise. Allow Gear Grind/Shift Gear.
Geomancy: lol, Megas can't hold Power Herbs. But since the non-Mega forme will get it as well, Disallow Geomancy.
Judgement: Yeah, no. Disallow Judgement.
King's Shield: Aside from flavor and the ability problem, King's Shield isn't really broken, and might help some of the Megas. Allow King's Shield, but if coding allows please add in a clone with a flavor that fits more possible Megas.
Land's Wrath: Weaker than Earthquake without anything better in single battles, and a flavor that probably wouldn't fit anything else. Disallow Land's Wrath.
Lunar Dance: The flavor of the move is tied to the moon rather than Cresselia, and requires the user to sacrifice itself, so it wouldn't be too much. Allow Lunar Dance.
Lovely Kiss: Don't see any problems here. Allow Lovely Kiss.
Magma Storm: This is in no way broken. Allow Magma Storm.
Night Daze: Like Zoroark would actually use this move. Allow Night Daze.
Noble Roar: Arcanine already got it, right? Then it's not really a sig move anymore. Allow Noble Roar.
Oblivion Wing: Flavor issues, duh. Disallow Oblivion Wing.
Parting Shot: Seismitoad got this already, so Allow Parting Shot.
Psycho Boost: A Psychic type Draco Meteor/Leaf Storm, I guess? Allow Psycho Boost.
Psystrike: While it's really useful, I want Mewtwo to retain its(his?) sig move. No comments.
(btw I just realised Psystrike is only 100 BP ._.)
Searing Shot: Almost the same thing with Fusion Flare above, only with the burn effect. Allow Searing Shot.
Secret Sword: I can see this fit into the flavor of some Megas. Allow Searing Shot.
Seed Flare: Pretty much anything with seeds fits the flavor; The problem though is the 40% Sp. Def drop by two stages. I don't know how broken this is, but still, Allow Seed Flare unless it's on things that are probably going to break the metagame in half.
Sketch: Ehhhhh, if it's on the movepol only once like Necturna of CAP I can see this being decent. Allow Sketch that can only be learned once.
Spatial Rend: Dragon-type Aeroblast I guess? Allow Spatial Rend, Though I wonder who can fit the move flavor.
Spiky Shield: This is in a slightly better position than King's Shield, since the flavor problem is not as big. Allow Spiky Shield.
Topsy-Turvy: I guess so. With Malamar not getting enough use, giving the move to others would probably be fine unless Topsy-Turvy becomes Mega Malamar's niche. Allow Topsy-Turvy.
Volt Tackle: I'm in the situation with Psystrike again. No comments.
Water Shuriken: Give the move to all the ninja Megas :P Not really, but that might actually work. Allow Water Shuriken.

That took a while. You can see me getting more and more lazy the lower it goes :P

Also, I'm having an idea with Mothim and wind-based moves, which should be fairly interesting.
 
Signature moves should be given purely based on flavour. Flying Press is Hawlucha's signature move because Hawlucha is literally a lucha libre, it jumps off wrestle arenas' ropes and performs things wrestlers do. Unless there are other lucha libres/wrestlers, it shouldn't be given to anything.

The same applies to any other signature move. If it's ok flavour-wise, then its fine. Otherwise, no.

I'd say disallow sketch because it's just too unpredictable and considering that Pokemon can remember egg moves and event moves, there's no way it would only get it once
 
Not only the megas need to have a niche compared to other megas (especially since you can use one/two? of them), but they definitely can't be outclassed by non-megas.

Is there any way to make Pachirusu not outclassed by Raikou/Jolteon? Mothim not outclassed by Volcarona?
Pachirisu has Super Fang. Make it a Mega Annoyer and it can be interesting...

Yeah, I've been thinking about it and there are quite a few possibilities.

Anyway, quick question: are Uber Mega-Evos going to banned automatically or are trying to make them OU level? Because if so, we basically have the same problem that was with Entei: their stats are high enough that you can't add too much to any of them.

I would be fine with banning them. In particular both Kyurem forms shouldn't be in our Meta... Unlike Zygarde (which currently only has 600 BST), Kyurem and Black Kyurem are powerful enough that we can EASILY break the meta if we put them in. We'd need to give it a shit ability.
 
A theory is that fossils are only Rock because the revival process is incomplete and leaves them with part of the Rock the fossil was in. The Mega Evolutions are supposed to bring out potential or something so maybe it could drop Rock.

I'm tempted to do Dragon/Steel. Y/N?

Mothim is known for its love of honey so maybe it can have an Ability that makes all moves function like Giga Drain, restoring its HP.
Mm, my first thought was Sap Sipper, but Mothim doesn't get much of a benefit out of that. Competitive strikes me as a nice ability for it. Flavour isn't really for or against it. Not sure why I like it, but I do. Alternatively there's always a custom ability:
Herbivore: Gains Hitpoints equal to 1/2 damage dealt to Grass type Pokemon.
Something like that, maybe?

If we gave Mothim Stun Spore and Sleep Powder it could fulfill a similar role, albeit with a different typing and more offensive stat distribution. Seems decently flavourful, so it may work.

For Pachirisu, would it be possible for it to have an ability where it steals the effects of the foe's items on contact? I think that would be really fitting since it can kind of act as a ferry of sorts with Bestow in its normal form. It would be able to take things away with its Mega...
I'm also thinking that we can give it a Light Ball clone for its ability since it is basically squirrel Pikachu.
