Agreed. He already has it as an HA, a lot of Megas use that as their ability.
You just really want a Rain starter with Volt Switch don't you?
Anyway, about Cloyster. I don't feel like Water/Steel is a good typing for a defensive Pokemon, because it's weak to Electric, Ground, and Fighting. Nearly every single attacker in the world carries at least one move of those types commonly, with a few exceptions. Cloyster's HP seems too low, like it wouldn't be able to take many super effective hits. I think that we'd be better off sticking to the original typing, and try a offensive approach that doesn't outclass/isn't outclassed by regular Cloyster.

To be fair drizzle on a suicidal electric orb doesn't really make sense
I hope someone has a submission that centers around exploding for Electrode. Maybe call the ability "Directed by Michael Bay" or something like that.
Part of me wants to submit a joke entry specifically around exploding Electrode. Something about making it an electric special attack that halves defense. That'll give Electrode a terribly silly niche. I'll call that ability 'Splosion Time

I just don't like putting weather abilities on Megas in general. And of all the things to give it to, Electrode is kinda out-there. It's not a Water type like every other Drizzle user (and how everything that gets a weather ability is the type of its weather, Fire for Drought, Rock for Sand Stream, etc.) But there's nothing actually stopping you from doing so.
I boosted its special attack to 130 (the +50 boost it would get). I changed Explosion to a special electric attack. And then I took Mantyke, made it level 1, and removed the evolite.
STAB explosion... off that attack... ground type plz O.o

Huh, I'm so confused. Why is there a current slate before the round has even begun? These discussion periods feel kind of pointless anyways, it doesn't really serve any other purpose besides people sharing what they're going to do and creating a status quo (neither of which are all that great.)
