They help a lot when we are trying to determine flavor, I dont mind if it doesn't do anything with the flavour, but a direct contradiction with flavor is a no no

...wat? So there's a reason why Sudowoodo isn't a Grass type, but you choose just to ignore it? Sorry if this is oversimplification, but that's what it sounds like to me.

Pseudowood(o). Mimic. Sudowoodo's entire purpose is to be a rock pretending to be a tree, but not actually be a tree--which is why it hates water and will jump out if you try to water it.
 
Clapyourhands, you're right, I'm just ignoring it. I think that it's quite obvious to anyone with a little brain that a Breloom can't be (for example) a Dark Type, so I don't think Dex descriptions are this crucial for limiting ourselves. And since Sudowood is a rock tree (or rock-pretendingtobeatree), I don't see why it shouldn't be like Cradily :)

This. I'm currently thinking of giving Mega Sudowoodo a abillty thats common in grass types (Like Chlorophyll) but it will still be mono rock, does that seem like a good idea?

Dex descriptions are incredibly important, you can ignore them, but nobody will vote for you.
 
Still in favor of Rock/Grass. It still fits the flavour, not all Grass-types are trees. It's still mimicking a tree but more convincingly?

It's pokemon, what logic?

This honestly makes all the sense in the world. Pinsir pulled out wings out of its arse and Sudowoodo can pull off leaves/branches out of his, and turn into rock/grass.

edit: ..what if retcon its name to like, Realowoodo? :O
 
The entire point of Sudowoodo is that it was specifically designed as the not-grass pokemon. Giving it a grass type or Sap Sipper would be like making Gyarados a dragon (it's based on something that is no longer a dragon).
 
Well, Roto: I was honestly thinking Gyarados-Mega would have been Water-Dragon (which makes way more sense to me thatn Water-Drak without even a STABbed Crunch to use) :)

Let's change the topic: do you have any idea about Politoed? I definitely don't :/

I'm doing a bulky attacker, but I would love to see what other people come up with
 
-ate ability with Boomburst.

Politoed comes in, sets up rain as normal politoed, mega evolve, and start bursting out STAB 273 base power move.
