1. JosJet: Not only did you somehow make an interesting ability with Golduck's rather subdued Dex entries (not many ways to go with "swims good"), but your ability also brings a rather interesting dynamic for a designated Water killer; Energy Ball shows that you even took Water Absorb into account. Also nice to see something actually utilize the concept behind Synchronoise.
2. abismal: Psychic Flip Turn and Water Future Sight sound interesting.
3. NANI?!: I briefly considered this for my Golduck, but you managed to pull the "Psychic Scrappy" concept off better, so credit where it's do.
4. okispokis
5. Violettes + ausma: Also utilizes the "overflowing energy" idea, and as a PS Mega, Golduck makes a surprisingly natural fit.
6. StarFalcon555: Simple, but effective. I like how Teleport gives it multiple options for pivoting.
7. Moretto + Sticky Fingaaa: Neuroforce is a weirdly fitting ability for Golduck (also pun), and I like how you guys executed the Fairy typing.
8. Eeveekid10: Technician Flip Turn is something I definitely want to see one day; Golduck may not be the best fit, but I'm gonna vote for it regardless.
9. bekama: Found a good way to utilize that one Dex entry; I like it.

1. okispokis
2. jazzmat: Who would've thought this slate would have two different mons that Neuroforce was a natural fit for? Anyways, I like the dynamic this has on a Normal type, plus Energy Ball is a really neat addition that beautifully fits the flavor of Porygon.
3. Violettes: Intriguing concept, really love how this screws with certain archetypes.
4. NANI?!: I love the synergy this has with Download.
5. EeveeGirl1380: PorygonZ was the perfect mon for this ability, love how your sub can potentially abuse either Hyper Beam or Giga Impact.
6. bekama: Love the flavor on this guy! Mimicry on something that actually has good SpA and Terrain Pulse is a great way to revive a thoroughly wasted ability (like, Gunfisk was arguably the worst possible candidate for this competitively). Only concern is this sub potentially being too specific.
7. SimpyShrimp: Simple but fun play on Z's flavor. Interesting option as an anti-hazard Mega.
8. ausma: I would've never thought of this connection, but it does have a fun little twinge to it.

1629816522828.png

1. okispokis
2. StarFalcon555: That concept. Is brilliant. Potentially morbid implications, but still brilliant. And again, love the reuse of a wasted vanilla ability.
3. Paulluxx: This idea should not work nearly as well as it does. And yet, something about the specific reference, and the way this sub would work as an offensive support is weirdly genius.
4. NANI?!: Love how you went all in on the crit idea, including coverage that is beneficial to a Fighting type.
5. SimpyShrimp: Interesting idea to reuse a custom ability. Love the flavor.
6. jazzmat: Good fit for the ability, like the focus on bulk. Does kind of feel like mini-Zamazenta (actually, might even be better).

I don't think it's ever been this difficult for me to decide my vote order; Golduck legit took me over half an hour to get the votes in order. Really loving this batch of subs! I honestly feel like a lot of my picks would ordinarily be top 3 material were it not for the competition.

Loved everyone’s subs this slate! There were so many creative concepts, and I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with for the next slate!

Hello, everyone!!
Quick update on the voting period: since a couple of subs were left out by mistake, we are extending voting until midnight GMT on August 27th (which is just 21 hours after it was originally set to end - the calendar ink made on the wiki has been updated accordingly!) to give more time for people to see these subs!

The submissions in question are :porygon-z: Magmajudis's Porygon-Z and abismal's Porygon-Z, which I will repost here for convenience:
:swsh/porygon-z:

:porygon-z: Mega Porygon-Z
Ability
: Erratic Movement (When this Pokemon uses a status move, it's speed raises by 1. When using an offensive move, it's speed is lowered by 1.)
Type: Normal
Stats:
HP: 85
Atk: 110 (+30)
Def: 90 (+20)
SpA: 165 (+30)
SpD: 95 (+20)
Spe: 90
New Moves: None
Description: OK so this one is probably the weirdest submission i made this slate. Erratic Movement is a pretty interesting ability, giving it a boost in speed with moves like Nasty Plot, Protect or Recover. Though, it's sweeping potential is wildly reduced by the fact it slows down after using an offensive move, whuch makes counterplay way easier. Outside of the ability, it's a pretty bulky but really powerful wallbreaker.

back for more, are ya klinklang?
Mega Porygon-Z

Types:

Ability: Reinitialize
("When this pokemon uses a move of a type other than its own, all stat changes on the field are reset.")

Stats:
HP: 85
Attack: 80 ->
Defense: 70 -> 79 (+9)
SpAtk: 135 -> 195 (+60)
SpDef: 75 -> 95 (+20)
Speed: 90 -> 101 (+11)

New Moves: Acupressure, Growth
Update 2.0 has been released to the public for Porygon-Z. Unfortunately there was a bug in the program and porygon-z is only capable of excelling in one task at a time. Guess they should've added more RAM. Anyway porygon-z becomes connected again and takes on a space shuttle like appearance, enhancing its abilities of travel and allowing it to reach the blistering speed tier of 101! It reaches its full potential when voyaging across space, and can store objects inside of it similarly to a pokeball, however there is a limited amount of storage space it has.
Porygon-Z is a nightmare to balance. I'm surprised we didn't just reserve it for ubers. It has nasty plot, download, and a bunch of nice coverage. Along with some moves that support it a liiiittle too much. It can recover.

Now, Reinitialize is an ability Hematite used for his mega klinklang submission and lemme tell you it was insane. Mans gave it- You know what. I'm not even gonna spoil it, go see it for yourself: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threa...telle-conkeldurr.3666825/page-21#post-8591494

Anyways, it's basically a cop-out to balancing a pokemon. I-I mean its basically a cool and effective method of making a mon with overkill stats scale down to a manageable level. The trick is that this PZ can only use moves of the same type to attack and setup unless it hates stat changes. Nasty plot would have to be used beforehand, locking you into Tri attack temporarily.

So then I said "well PZ has conversion, so what if we made the ability more open ended?" If it decides to convert into lets say an Ice type from Ice beam, it can still use Growth before changing type, it just takes a bit of setup. However, it becomes a really powerful attacker WITHOUT setting up since its special attack is so high. With a speed tier like that, you could run webs just to outspeed anything that comes your way.

Some other cool tricks involve Solar Beam + Growth + Conversion under sun. Probably with Recover or Tri Attack so that your normal-type moves aren't useless. Thunderbolt + Conversion allows you to use moves like Thunder Wave without being punished.

Accupessure is a fun way to snowball before changing your type again. It's ludicrous special attack makes any form of speed buff or defense buff insane to counter, because now its actually capable of walling attacks, outspeeding pokemon, and hitting even harder if its lucky. You might save conversion for last with a move like ice beam to shred your opponent later.

Growth makes sense flavor-wise as computers and programs are always evolving, always changing, always growing..

Last but not least, Agility + Conversion can be abused with Psychic or Psyshock.

There are still options to explore, and I want YOU to go and search for them! that way this description's a little interactive and not just a giant block of text you quickly scanned through. Plus this would help you plan out sets if this submission happened to win!

Before I start I’d just like to say welcome back Hemmy!! We missed you :)

I’m breaking order to do Sirfetch’d first because
Ohmigod I love Paul and Blue’s so much!! Definitely a first place for me. The usage of Grassy Surge here is brilliant and brings out so many cool synergies with Sun and its new signature Fighting/Fairy typing (makes me think of a paladin of the sun or something noble like that!) The flavor is just on point too, of course.
2. Magmajudis has a really neat sub here with a slow Emergency Exit user and I totally support it!
3. Jazzmat’s Dauntless Shield sub gives me really fun knight vibes and I’m down for it - I also prefer this one over the Intrepid Sword sub, sorry :P

Well first place for Golduck is KeroseneZanchu - I really like how well all of the pieces fit into place so perfectly for his sub! The way using Psychic Terrain becomes both a speed and power boost as well as STAB and everything else just goes together so nicely.
I also just think Psychic Terrain is just a really good theme for Golduck, so that’s why Violettes and Ausma’s sub is my second place! I think a straight Psychic Surge is slightly less interesting, but only slightly, so it’s a really close second!
For third I have EeveeKid - not much to say here, I just like fun Technician users.

First place for Porygon-Z is Violettes! Perma Torment on everything is a really interesting effect to play around, especially on a Pokémon that would usually want to spam one or two offensive moves. It’s really creative, and I’m not sure if it will be good or not, but I want to see it in action regardless!
Second place is FiniteInfinity - I wasn’t expecting to vote for this at first, but after reading your description and thinking about it for a while, I think it’s a really clever and underrated gimmick. Some of them will probably be stronger than others, but I feel like all three abilities will have their own niche.
Third and last is KeroseneZanchu - I really like how he enabled Porygon-Z to be the fast scary sweeper it wants to be while simultaneously restraining it from being the fast scary sweeper everyone else doesn’t want it to be without hitting certain conditions.

That will be all, have a good night!

Nice to see we're back in the swing of things, let's pump out some good megas, mates.

The first good mega is KeroseneZanchu's Golduck,
followed by okispokis's and
jazzmat's.

For Sirfetch'd, Magmajudis's is the best,
with Double Iron Bash
and Paulluxx coming right behind.

Erphuan the Fluffy is the clear Porygon-Z winner, but
Ausma's and
Violettes's are pretty cool too.

If none of these win I'll be the big sadge.
