Psychic
========

Meloetta's part-Normal typing allows it to take on Ghost-type Pokemon such as Mimikyu and Blacephalon, which pose a huge threat for Psychic-type teams. It comes with good Special Attack along with an average Speed stat that makes it a formidable offensive threat. Having remarkable special bulk allows it to take on weak special attackers such as Rotom-W and Mantine, as well as unboosted Volcarona. With Shadow Ball at its disposal, Meloetta performs very well in the mirror matchups, while having good coverage moves such as Thunderbolt and Focus Blast allows it to take on Pokemon that are troublesome for Psychic-type teams such as Dark-, Water- and Steel-types like Tyranitar, Mantine, Heatran, and Celesteela. However, Meloetta only has a few uses in taking on Mimikyu and using Shadow Ball in a mirror matchup; it's otherwise outclassed as a wallbreaker by other Psychic-type Pokemon such as Victini and Latios. Moreover, low physical bulk and a below average Speed stat leave Meloetta exposed against fast physical threats and Pursuit users such as Mega Sharpedo, Mega Gallade, and Mega Aerodactyl.

Moves
========

Psychic is Meloetta's main and most powerful STAB attack, allowing it to deal heavy damage to targets such as Toxapex. Psyshock can be used instead in order to hit specially bulky Pokemon such as Chansey and Volcarona at the cost of some power. Thunderbolt is a decent coverage move that lets Meloetta handle Flying- and Water-types, such as Celesteela, Mantine, and Gyarados. Shadow Ball allows Meloetta to hit Ghost-type Pokemon such as Mimikyu and Blacephalon as well as break down Psychic-type teams. Focus Blast lets Meloetta hit Steel- and Dark-type Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Tyranitar. Hyper Voice is Meloetta's secondary STAB attack, allowing it to deal with Substitute users such as Zapdos, as well as deal heavy damage to Alolan Muk.

Set Details
========

252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature let Meloetta reach 306 Speed, allowing it to outspeed Pokemon such as Nidoking, Adamant Mimikyu, and Gyarados. 252 Special Attack EVs allow Meloetta to hit as hard as possible. Choice Specs boosts Meloetta's Special Attack greatly, allowing it to OHKO Mimikyu reliably.

Usage Tips
========

Try to use Meloetta's wallbreaking potential early-game to create space for late-game cleaners, such as Mega Gallade. Since Meloetta lacks recovery, try to avoid switching into attacks directly. Instead, try to pivot with teammates such as Jirachi and Mew. However, use Meloetta's good special bulk to switch in against offensively weak Pokemon that Meloetta can reliably beat, such as Mantine, Toxapex, and Mega Venusaur. Protect users such as Celesteela and Toxapex will scout Meloetta's moves and take advantage of the Choice Specs. To prevent this, try to double switch when Meloetta is up against them. Be wary with your switches if the opponent has a Pursuit Pokemon at their disposal. Pursuit users such as Alolan Muk and Mega Aerodactyl can either OHKO Meloetta or deal a significant amount of damage to it. Utilize Meloetta's part-Normal typing to pivot into Ghost-type attacks and retaliate with Shadow Ball. Avoid getting paralyzed by Klefki at all costs, as Meloetta will lose its capability to check Mimikyu reliably. Furthermore, the loss of Speed will leave it vulnerable against slower offensive Pokemon such as Dragonite and Breloom.

Team Options
========

Mega Gallade forms a good offensive core with Meloetta. Its STAB Close Combat aids Meloetta with taking on Steel- and Normal-type Pokemon more reliably, such as Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Chansey, as well as beating Alolan Muk. It also has access to Knock Off, which helps with Ghost-type Pokemon. Metagross's access to Bullet Punch allows it to break Mimikyu's Disguise in cases where Mimikyu manages to set up Swords Dance without losing the Disguise, and its powerful STAB Meteor Mash lets it ease the Fairy matchup drastically, with the help of Meloetta checking Mimikyu. Mew's access to a plethora of utility moves benefits Meloetta greatly. Will-O-Wisp lets Mew cripple physical offensive threats such as Mega Gallade and Mega Aerodactyl to make it up for Meloetta's low physical bulk. It also has Knock Off and Taunt to shut down status spreaders such as Toxapex and Chansey. Jirachi makes another decent partner for Meloetta; its access to Wish covers up Meloetta's lack of recovery. Jirachi also has U-turn, which lets it pivot for Meloetta. Jirachi's good defensive typing allows it to take on Bug-type attacks for Meloetta, and its part-Steel typing allows it to switch into Toxic safely. Moreover, Jirachi can spread paralysis with Thunder Wave, making up for Meloetta's low Speed stat. Slowbro is an excellent physical wall that can take on many threats such as Excadrill and Terrakion thanks to its fantastic bulk, Regenerator, and Slack Off. Its Scald threatens physical attackers such as Terrakion and Excadrill with burns. Celebi functions similarly to Jirachi; its access to Thunder Wave cripples fast threats such as Mega Aerodactyl and Mega Gallade, its typing lets it switch into Ground-type attacks, and it can pivot for Meloetta with U-turn. Moreover, Celebi has Natural Cure which lets it absorb status conditions for Meloetta. Alakazam makes a decent backup for Meloetta. The combination of Focus Sash and Counter allows Alakazam to take on any physically offensive Pokemon one-on-one and beat them, including one of Meloetta's biggest counters, Alolan Muk. Latios has access to Defog, which removes entry hazards for its team, granting Meloetta some more freedom. Latios also has very good offensive stats, allowing it to act as a revenge killer with a Choice Scarf set. Victini has access to U-turn, which can be used to bring Meloetta into the field safely. Its good stats and strong offensive move options also let it be a good revenge killer with Choice Scarf.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options

Psychic
--------

Meloetta can run a Choice Scarf set to act as a revenge killer, allowing it to outspeed Pokemon such as Volcarona, Mega Gallade, and Mega Aerodactyl by exchanging power for Speed. Having U-turn lets Meloetta safely pivot out against its counters on the switch such as Alolan Muk. Running Dazzling Gleam lets Meloetta hit Mega Sableye. It has no other relevant use, though, as most Dragon-type Pokemon outspeed Meloetta.

Checks and Counters
===================

Psychic
--------

**Chansey**: Chansey's monstrous special bulk and its access to Soft-Boiled allow it to take on any of Meloetta's attacks without any trouble and beat it with Seismic Toss. Chansey also has Thunder Wave, which can cripple Meloetta by halving its Speed.

**Alolan Muk**: Alolan Muk can comfortably switch into any attack from Meloetta and beat it with Knock Off and Pursuit.

**Dark-types**: Defensive Dark-types such as Mandibuzz and Mega Sableye can take attacks comfortably from Meloetta. However, Mandibuzz needs to be careful about Thunderbolt. Offensive Dark-types such as Weavile and Greninja outspeed Meloetta and can reliably beat it.

**Physical attackers **: Meloetta's poor physical bulk leaves it vulnerable against many physical Pokemon, such as Victini and Mega Aerodactyl. It is also vulnerable to common priority users such as Azumarill, Bisharp, and Dragonite.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon **: Meloetta without Psyshock will have trouble handling common specially defensive Pokemon, such as Gastrodon, Chansey, and Volcarona.

[OVERVIEW]

Psychic
========

* Meloetta has good Special Attack and Special Defense stats along with an average Speed stat that makes it a formidable offensive threat.
- would separate the Special Defense into another bullet and just focus on its offensive capabilities here

* good natural bulk

* Meloetta's part-Normal typing allows it to take on Ghost-type Pokemon such as Mimikyu and Gengar Blacephalon, which poses a huge threat for Psychic-type teams.
- more relevant example

* Meloetta's access to good coverage moves such as Thunderbolt and Focus Blast allow it to take on Water- and Steel-type Pokemon such as Mantine and Ferrothorn.
- thunderbolt also allows it to take on Flying Pokemon such as Celesteela. In steel examples add heatran and would like you to include also include Dark types like Tyranitar on what Focus Blast hits

* Meloetta's below average Speed stat and low physical bulk leave it exposed against fast physical offensive threats and Pursuit trappers such as Mega Gallade, Weavile, and Tyranitar.
- meh tyranitar is not a good example cause of focus blast, any physical wallbreaker that can blow past meloetta is a fine example here

* Meloetta is very susceptible to paralysis as its speed tier is already below average.
* Having no reliable recovery moves with a mediocre defensive typing makes Meloetta a fragile Pokemon.

- unimportant

- hard to fit on psychic teams

Moves
========

* Psychic is Meloetta's main and most powerful STAB attack, allowing it to deal heavy damage.
- give examples

* Thunderbolt is decent coverage move which lets Meloetta handle Flying- and Water-types, such as Mandibuzz, Mantine, and Gyarados.
- want celesteela as an example here

* Shadow Ball lets Meloetta hit to Ghost-type Pokemon such as Mimikyu.
* Focus Blast lets Meloetta hit Steel and Dark-type Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and x.
* Hyper Voice

Set Details
========

* 252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature lets Meloetta reach 306 speed, allowing it to outspeed Pokemon such as Nidoking, Adamant Mimikyu, and Gyarados.
* 252 Special Attack EVs allows Meloetta to hit as hard as possible.
* Choice Specs boosts Meloetta's Special Attack by x1.5 but locks Meloetta to the first move it uses.
* Serene Grace doubles the probability of secondary effects of attacks, which benefits every attack of Meloetta.

Usage Tips
========

* Try to utilize Meloetta in early-game to wall break efficiently and create space for the late-game cleaners such as Mega Gallade Rock Polish Mew.
- dual dance mew hasnt been used in a while

* Since Meloetta lacks all forms recovery, avoid switching directly into attacks. Instead, try to pivot with Stallbreaker Mew, Jirachi, and Victini.
- victini shouldnt be pivoting into random attacks

* Be wary of Protect users such as Celesteela and Toxapex as Meloetta will lock itself to a move and grant a free switch to the opponent.
- you can talk about predicting the double and switching into a different teammate to take advantage of the switch

* Be wary of Pursuit users such as Weavile, Muk-Alola, Tyranitar, and Mega Aerodactyl as these Pokemon can either OHKO Meloetta or deal serious damage to it.
- you don't need that many examples, only if they are all really relevant. pursuit ttar is rare and weavile rarely sees usage

* Try to take advantage of Choice-locked Ghost-type Pokemon and retaliate back with Shadow Ball.
- expand more on this, give a usage tip about ghost mu. where melo puts in the most work

* Use Melotta's good special bulk to switch in offensively weak Pokemon, such as Mantine, Toxapex, and Mega Venusaur.
- make sure its clear that they are pokemon meloetta can beat, no point switching into a chansey

* Avoid status conditions, namely paralysis, that leaves it weak susceptible against common physical offensive Pokemon, such as Buzzwole and Excadrill.
- buzzwole is a bad example since it runs scarf 100% of the time its used

Team Options
========

* Mega Gallade forms a good offensive core with Meloetta. It's STAB Close Combat aids Meloetta with taking on Steel- and Normal-type Pokemon more reliably, such as Chansey, Heatran, and Ferrothorn as well as beating Muk-Alola. It also has access to Knock Off which helps with Ghost-type Pokemon.
- moved mega gallade up here

* Victini

* Mew's access to a plethora of utility moves benefits Meloetta greatly. It has U-turn and Volt Switch to pivot for Meloetta. It's access to Defog lets it remove entry hazards from the field which Meloetta is susceptible to. Moreover, having Will-o-Wisp lets Mew cripple physical offensive threats such as Mega Gallade and Tyranitar (use a different example, tyranitar dies to focus blast and meloetta isnt checking dd mega ttar if its well played) to make it up with Meloetta's low physical bulk. It also has Knock Off and Taunt to shut down status spreaders such as Toxapex and Chansey. As an alternative, Mew can also run a Rock Polish late-game sweeper set which appreciates the wallbreaking provided by Meloetta.
- mew never uses volt switch or u-turn, please try to stay with metagame relevant information. defog mew is trash.

* Deoxys-S makes a fantastic partner for Meloetta; its access to Reflect and Light Screen lets Meloetta punch holes safely. Furthermore, Deoxys-S provides Stealth Rock for the team which helps Meloetta with wall-breaking, and its access to Taunt can be used to shut down status spreaders such as Chansey which threatens Meloetta with Thunder Wave and Toxic.
- dont like deoxys-s as a teammate, wait for another QC on this or delete.

* Jirachi makes another decent partner for Meloetta; its access to Wish covers up Meloetta's lack of recovery. Jirachi also has U-turn, which lets it pivot for Meloetta. Jirachi's good defensive typing allows it to take on Bug-type attacks for Meloetta, and its part-Steel typing allows Jirachi to switch into Toxic safely. Moreover, Jirachi can spread paralysis with Thunder Wave, making it up with Meloetta's low Speed stat.
- can also act as a sr setter

* Slowbro is an excellent physical wall that can take on many threats such as Excadrill and Terrakion. It can also cripple opposing Pokemon with Thunder Wave, allowing Meloetta to wallbreak safely.
- talk more about its ability to pivot and act as a wall. cripple physical attackers with scald burns to allow meloetta to beat them easier

* Celebi functions similarly with Jirachi, its access to Thunder Wave cripples fast threats such as Mega Aerodactyl and Mega Gallade, its typing lets it check Ground-type attacks and it has U-turn which can be used to pivot for Meloetta.

* Alakazam makes a decent backup for Meloetta. The combination of Focus Sash and Counter allows Alakazam to take on any physically offensive Pokemon in one-on-one and beat them, including one of Meloetta's biggest counters, Muk-Alola. However, Alakazam must watch out for Muk-Alola's Fire Blast.
- not super important

* Latios and Mega Latias benefit Meloetta with their Defog by removing the entry hazards from the field, which Meloetta is susceptible to. Latios also acts as a secondary wallbreaker alongside with Meloetta.
- would like you to redo these. scarf/specs latios and cm mega latias. talk about them more in-depth and separate them into different bullets

Overview:
- First line of Overview must mention Mimikyu specifically. The whole point of Meloetta is to beat Mimikyu.
- The fat doesn't matter that much but it can be helpful for Volcarona particularly.
- Need to mention its use in the mirror matchup, since its Shadow Ball is only really stopped by an opposing Meloetta.
- Is its defensive typing that bad?
- Dragonite is literally slower than Meloetta

Moves:
- The reason Hyper Voice helps vs Zapdos is for Substitute. Psychic does more than enough damage. It's also the best move to hit Alolan Muk with if that ends up being a situation.
- Psyshock should be slashed behind Psychic. Hitting Volcarona is really nice.
- Shadow Ball is also how it helps beat other Psychic teams.
- A lot of these lines are just type chart explanations. Can we get a bit more specific on how these moves are relevant to Meloetta and Psychic?

Set Details:
- You don't need to pokedex explain what Choice Specs does. Something like talking about being necessary for almost always OHKOing Mimikyu with Shadow Ball is much more relevant to the analysis.
- Don't bother with a Serene Grace line.

Usage Tips:
- Mention keeping Meloetta away from Klefki's Thunder Wave against Fairy, since it relies on outspeeding Mimikyu in order to check it.

Team Options:
- You're not really using Victini as a wallbreaker with Choice Specs Meloetta. Pivoting is worth mentioning, though.
- Metagross is still a good option to bring up in case Mimikyu manages to Swords Dance without losing its Disguise. Combining Metagross and Meloetta pretty much locks out Fairy.
- Meloetta is a bit of a liability against Dark, and running Mega Latias together is a bit too rough, in my opinion.

Other Options:
- Dazzling Gleam is pretty much exclusively for Mega Sableye. Everything else can be hit by a different move relatively successfully (Dragon-types tend to outspeed Meloetta).
- U-turn should be mentioned to allow Meloetta to pivot out of Alolan Muk or other counters on the switch.

Checks and Counters:
- If Meloetta lacks Psyshock, it can find some special walls difficult to break, such as Gastrodon.

Overview
"...while having good coverage moves such as Thunderbolt and Focus Blast allow it to take on Dark-, Water-, and Steel-type Pokemon such as Tyranitar, Celesteela, Heatran, and Ferrothorn."
I would rephrase your list here to match moves w/ applicable types and Pokemon. Also you don't have a water example, so I would probably change either Heatran or Ferro to Mantine. Would say:
"...while having good coverage moves such as Focus Blast and Thunderbolt allow it to take on Pokemon that are troublesome for Psychic such as Dark-, Steel-, and Water-types Pokemon such as like Tyranitar, Heatran, Celesteela, and Ferrothorn Mantine."

Is Latios really a breaker? Do we have an analysis for the Specs set? If not - maybe change this example since I wouldn't call it an immediate wallbreaker.

Team Options
Again, flip examples to match:
"It's STAB Close Combat aids Meloetta with taking on Steel- and Normal-type Pokemon more reliably, such as Chansey, Heatran, and Ferrothorn as well as beating Muk-Alola."

Protect users such as Celesteela and Toxapex will scout Meloetta's moves and take advantage of the Choice Specs. To prevent this, try to predict their next move to take advantage of the situation by performing a double switch. To prevent this, try to double switch when Meloetta is up against a Protect user. Moves
========

Psychic is Meloetta's main and most powerful STAB attack, allowing it to deal heavy damage to targets such as Toxapex. Psyshock can be used alternatively be used, instead in order to hit specially bulky Pokemon such as Chansey and Volcarona at the cost of some power. Thunderbolt is a decent coverage move that lets Meloetta handle Flying- and Water-types, such as Celesteela, Mantine, and Gyarados. Shadow Ball allows Meloetta to hit Ghost-type Pokemon such as Mimikyu and Blacephalon as well as break down (or w/e, just add a verb here to avoid iffy wording consistency) Psychic-type teams.

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Try to use Meloetta's wallbreaking potential in early-game to create space for late-game cleaners, such as Mega Gallade. To prevent this, try to double switch when Meloetta is up against a Protect user them. Avoid getting paralyzed paralysis (or from -> by) from Klefki at all costs, as Meloetta will lose its capability to check Mimikyu reliably when paralyzed. Furthermore, the loss of Speed from paralysis will leave it vulnerable against slower offensive Pokemon such as Dragonite and Breloom.

Team Options
========

Metagross's access to Bullet Punch allows it to break Mimikyu's Disguise in cases where Mimikyu manages to set up Swords Dance without losing the Disguise, (comma) Metagross's and its powerful STAB Meteor Mash lets it ease the Fairy matchup drastically, with the help of Meloetta checking Mimikyu. Moreover, Jirachi can spread paralysis with Thunder Wave, making it up for Meloetta's low Speed stat. Slowbro is an excellent physical wall that can take on many threats such as Excadrill and Terrakion thanks to its fantastic bulk, Regenerator, and Slack Off. Its Scald threatens physical attackers such as Terrakion and Excadrill with burns. Celebi functions similarly to Jirachi; its access to Thunder Wave cripples fast threats such as Mega Aerodactyl and Mega Gallade, its typing lets it switch into Ground-type attacks, and it has U-turn, which can be used to pivot for Meloetta with U-turn.

Other Options
=============

Psychic

===================

Psychic
--------

**Chansey**: Chansey's monstrous special bulk and its access to Soft-Boiled allows allow it to take on any of Meloetta's attacks without any trouble and beat it with Seismic Toss. Chansey also has Thunder Wave, which can cripple Meloetta by halving its Speed.

**Alolan Muk**: Alolan Muk can comfortably switch into any attack from Meloetta and beat it comfortably with Knock Off and Pursuit.
