When equipped with a Choice Specs, Meloetta sings its way to the top in PU as a powerful, and surprisingly quite bulky, special attacker and wallbreaker! With Psyshock, Meloetta can muscle its way through bulky special walls such as Florges and Goodra. Shadow Ball is valuable coverage, targeting Decidueye and hitting Hoopa and Golurk for good damage. Focus Blast allows Meloetta to hit common Dark- and Rock-type switch-ins such as Wo-Chien, Scrafty, and Coalossal while also targeting Copperajah and Alolan Sandslash. Tera Ghost boosts Shadow Ball, letting Meloetta OHKO Decidueye while also providing an excellent immunity to priority from the likes of Arcanine and Scyther as well as Boomburst from Toxtricity. Meloetta struggles to deal with Dark-types with priority such as Skuntank, Zoroark, and Bombirdier, so partners to take on these threats such as Bellibolt and Paldean Tauros-F are appreciated. Meloetta's ability to wear down special walls such as Goodra, Florges, and Assault Vest Copperajah benefits sweepers such as Toxtricity and Hisuian Braviary by making it easier for them to set up and sweep.
