Welcome to the third iteration of MFPL! This tournament is nearly identical to MPL, except it gives some lesser known or up and coming talent of the Monotype Community a chance to play in a team tournament alongside more veteran players. Nobody is prevented from signing up, as the goal is to expand participation beyond seasoned vets.

You are REQUIRED to have 1-2 co-manager(s), though you can edit it in later or choose them from the draft. The manager selection process is mostly subjective. The hosts alongside the rest of the moderation team will select the managers we feel are most strongly suited for the tournament.

Some basic rules:
  • Each team is allowed to have ONE manager currently managing in MPL XII
  • Nobody is prevented from signing up for MFPL and we encourage all rookies and vets alike to partake.
  • MPL Players are allowed to signup for MFPL, however they are not allowed to signup or play tiers for which they have played at least one game within the first four weeks of MPL. (Lineups and Substitutes for Week 5 and onward are not affected).
  • There are no exceptions.

Speaking of tiers, here are the tiers for MFPL:

What qualifies you to be a manager?
I've managed a lot of tours across the site including NDPL, NDCL, DWCOP, Doubles Derby, BLT, UMCL, Draft FL, and RBTT, and have been around the mono community for a little over a year now. Pixelbob managed NDCL and made some deep runs in some recent sv mono indivs. Leroi has had good runs in nd mono and been around for awhile. We will have a fun and active team environment.

What qualifies you to be a manager? I am active monotype community member and + in the room. I have managed tours from all over the site including WCOP, SSPL, GSCPL, and etc having a very good playoffs rate. Perish Song is former monotype room owner and a old community member. He has also managed tours MPL, RBTT and etc as well. We both also made finals of RBEL togather recently as well. We both have knowledge of the tiers involved and plenty of manager experience. We have good knowledge of the player base and will help newer talents shine while also creating a active and helpful enviroment for the players. Rowlett has managed BDPL twice, RBEL 3, and team BD in WCAP. As a player played in last MFPL and MWP and had some decent runs in indiv tours, including top4 in mono swiss

What qualifies you to be a manager? Aeth has been an active member of the monotype community for around a year now, being an eager and positive participant within it. Aeth has played in MFPL before, was one win off playoffs in swiss, previously made semifinals for MOMP, and has general tournament experience. Ea-Nasir is a highly skilled manager with a wellspring of managerial experience including NFE Olympiad I, WCOR, LTWC, UWC, UMCL, NFEOL, UMFL, RBYWC, managed and won PTSL, and is presently managing UUFPL. He is able to highly effectively organize, motivate, and collaborate with players across a variety of formats. I am not nearly as experienced or qualified as those two (the most I've done is advising a friend on how to reach top 3 ou) but I'm incredibly enthusiastic, eager to learn and listen, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everyone has a good experience.

What qualifies you to be a manager? Although I sadly didn’t win last MFPL with Zestful Zamazentas, the teammates were very satisfied to play in the team and I helped them all the way through. And my co-managers Giyu and Blaze have enough knowledge and experience in this metagame to bring the best in players. We are going to help them through and throughout the tournament. Giyu for example managed NDOTSL twice on the HeeHee Heatrans, has also played in a team setting in NDMPL and the most recent MOMPL. Plus he has a pretty good standing with the community as well as a former C&C moderator for Monotype and MOM staff. And Blaze is a monotype room voice. Has once managed ag snake and he‘s a monotype tutor and rater.
