- Roost / Swords Dance / U-turn

[SET COMMENTS]
Magic Guard Quaquaval is a formidable offensive Pokemon that also uses its excellent typing and movepool to serve as the premier offensive entry hazard remover in the tier. Wave Crash is a powerful, drawback-free STAB move that deals heavy damage to foes lacking resistance to Water. Brave Bird is used to hit common Water move switch-ins, like Desolate Land users and opposing Quaquaval. Close Combat can be used as a powerful secondary STAB move and is useful for hitting Steel types like Heatran and Hisuian Goodra, but its drawbacks and typing leave Quaquaval vulnerable to Desolate Land users like Iron Moth, Ceruledge, and Volcarona. Rapid Spin has fantastic synergy with Quaquaval's immunity to passive damage and ability to force out common hazard setters like Garchomp and Landorus-T; Quaquaval also appreciates the Speed boost and can use it in conjunction with Swords Dance to sweep later in the game. Roost greatly improves Quaquaval's longevity, allowing it to repeatedly check threats like Chien-Pao and Kingambit, while U-turn is used to safely bring in teammates after Quaquaval forces a switch. Quaquaval is hard to wear down thanks to Magic Guard, but its middling Speed and bulk leave it vulnerable to faster threats like Iron Moth, Zapdos, and Meowscarada. Fast, offensive teammates like Chien-Pao and Iron Moth appreciate Quaquaval's wallbreaking prowress and ability to remove hazards. Thanks to the passive damage immunity, Quaquaval excels as an offensive rapid spinner on hazard stacking teams, where teammates like Garchomp, Ting-Lu, and Glimmora can set hazards without worrying about enemy hazards wearing them down.

Magic Guard Quaquaval is an formidable offensive Pokemon that also uses its excellent typing and movepool to serve as the premier entry hazard remover in the tier. Wave Crash is a powerful, drawback-free STAB move that deals heavy damage to foes lacking a Water resistance. Brave Bird is used to hit common Water move switchins, like Desolate Land users and Grass types I don't know any relevant Grass-type that really switches in anyway but if you do know, probably best to list examples. Close Combat can be used as a powerful secondary STAB Might be worth mentioning the targets it allows to hit like DesoLand Heatran, but its drawbacks and typing leave Quaquaval vulnerable to Desolate Land users like Iron Moth, Ceruledge, and Volcarona. Rapid Spin has fantastic synergy with Quaquaval's immunity to passive damage and ability to force common hazard setters out; Quaquaval also appreciates the speed boost and can use it in conjunction with Swords Dance to sweep later in the game. Roost greatly improves Quaquaval's longevity, allowing it to repeatedly check threats like Chien-Pao and Kingambit, while U-turn is used to pivot out on unfavorable matchups like the afforementioned Desolate Land users Some of the aforementioned Desoland users aren't really that unfavourable of a MU (like Volc just dies to BBird). Quaquaval is hard to wear down thanks to Magic Guard, but its middling speed and bulk leave it vulnerable to faster threats like Iron Moth, Zapdos, and Meowscarada Probably worth mentioning teammates that can help cover this with priority/speed (Chien-Pao could be a decent example as Quaq helps remove rocks for it). Thanks to the passive damage immunity, Quaquaval excels as an offensive rapid spinner on Entry Hazard stacking teams, where teammates like Garchomp, Ting-Lu, and Glimmora can set hazards without worrying about enemy hazards wearing them down.

Magic Guard Quaquaval is a formidable offensive Pokemon that also uses its excellent typing and movepool to serve as the premier entry hazard remover in the tier (This isn't true; the "premier entry hazard remover" is Corviknight). Wave Crash is a powerful, drawback-free STAB move that deals heavy damage to foes lacking a Water resistance. Brave Bird is used to hit common Water move switchins, like Desolate Land users and opposing Quaquaval. Rapid Spin has fantastic synergy with Quaquaval's immunity to passive damage and ability to force common hazard setters (might as well list specific examples like chomp and landot) out; Quaquaval also appreciates the speed boost and can use it in conjunction with Swords Dance to sweep later in the game. Roost greatly improves Quaquaval's longevity, allowing it to repeatedly check threats like Chien-Pao and Kingambit, while U-turn is used to safely bring in teammates after Quaquaval forces a switch.
