Mienshao [QC 3/3] [GP 1/2]

At the moment, I don't really think Mienshao is viable in the current metagame. Its completely outclassed by Mega Lopunny, has gained several new counters while several of its older counters have been buffed in some way, and its Speed isn't as amazing as it was previously. If mienshao does continue to receive an analysis, greater emphasis should be placed on it competition with Mega Lopunny (and to a lesser extent, Mega Gallade) for a teamslot and several of its new checks and counters (Mega Slowbro, Sableye and Altaria).

Scarf mention somewhere? It's a solid option for a scarf slot on a team (it gets regenerator!) and it can easily lure in threats (Latios, Keldeo, Scarf LandT, +1 Jolly Charizard, +1 MGyarados, etc.) and revenge kill them while also offering U-Turn support. Reckless should be the second slash ability because voltturn loves this pokes ability to maintain its HP, and its HJKs are quite powerful as it is. I recommend a set that looks like this:

Meinshao @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Regenerator / Reckless
Nature: Jolly / Naive
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
- High Jump Kick
- U-Turn
- Stone Edge
- Hidden Power [Ice] / Knock Off

Hi I've discussed this with a few people and I don't really think that Mienshao is viable in the current metagame. It's a shame to see all this work get done and have it potentially go to waste, but the dominating presence of Mega Lopunny especially, which is fast and better in just about every way, almost completely destroys any niche that Mienshao had. Mienshao does have some unique traits, like its HJK is actually a bit stronger due to Reckless, but it's walled by Mega Sableye while Mega Lopunny isn't, which pretty much negates any benefits that Mienshao has in terms of power. Mienshao does have the fact that it doesn't take up a Mega slot going for it, but when that Mega is among the better Megas in the tier, you really have to question why you're using Mienshao and not just using Mega Lopunny with some other Mega on a team. I won't reject it quite yet until I get some other thoughts, though.

Yeah i actually agree, no reason to use this when MLopunny is just so much better :/

RIP
