Fairy
========

Mimikyu is a unique setup sweeper on Fairy because of its ability Disguise and access to Swords Dance and Shadow Sneak, which allow it to pose an offensive threat and pressure revenge killers such as Dragapult. Offensively, Mimikyu improves the matchup against offensive types like Electric, Psychic, and Ghost; however, it struggles with common defensive Pokemon such as Toxapex, Celesteela, and Hippwdon, and thus it functions best as a late-game cleaner once its teammates have broken down the opposing defensive core. Mimikyu is also very susceptible to passive damage from entry hazards, status, and Life Orb recoil, and it heavily relies on Disguise being unbroken to pose an offensive threat.

[SET COMMENTS]
Shadow Sneak gives Mimikyu useful priority, threatening faster threats such as Gengar, Alolan Raichu, and Victini. Shadow Claw hits defensive answers like Celesteela, Galarian Corsola, Toxapex, and Slowbro much harder than any other attack. Play Rough is Mimikyu's strongest STAB move, hitting Dark- and Dragon-types like Zarude and Garchomp. Drain Punch provides perfect coverage when used alongside Shadow Claw, most notably hitting Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Bisharp hard. Life Orb provides Mimikyu extra power to make up for its otherwise middling offensive presence.

Klefki is a mandatory partner on offensive Fairy teams, setting up dual screens to help Mimikyu set up with ease and Spikes to bring opposing teams in range of its boosted attacks. Clefable can reliably remove items with Knock Off and set Stealth Rock to help Mimikyu sweep late-game. Tapu Koko can offensively pressure many of the defensive Pokemon that wall Mimikyu, such as Toxapex and Corviknight, while potentially bringing it in with U-turn or Volt Switch. Tapu Lele pressures the Poison-types that Mimikyu struggles to break through, such as Toxapex and Amoonguss, but the Psychic Terrain it sets can block Mimikyu's own Shadow Sneak. Mimikyu appreciates wallbreaking from Tapu Bulu, which can run a similar Swords Dance set to sweep alongside it, to quickly break down defensive Pokemon like Galarian Corsola, Skarmory, and Ferrothorn. Azumarill capitalizes on dual screens much like Mimikyu and breaks down bulkier Steel- and Poison- types that give Mimikyu trouble. Tapu Fini can use sets like Taunt + Calm Mind to set up on and pressure defensive cores like Toxapex + Amoonguss + Galarian Weezing or Slowking + Pelipper + Toxapex, helping Mimikyu sweep late-game.

Red Card is a option to phaze setup sweepers like Swords Dance Aegislash, Quiver Dance Volcarona, and Nasty Plot Thundurus-T at the cost of Life Orb's noticeable power boost. Another option is Will-O-Wisp, which lets Mimikyu burn bulky switch-ins like Celesteela, Melmetal, and Landorus-T, making it easier for offensive teammates like Tapu Bulu and Azumarill to break through opposing teams.

**Physically Defensive Walls**: Even after a Swords Dance boost, Mimikyu struggles to damage walls such as Toxapex, Skarmory, and Amoonguss, many of which can remove its boosts via Haze or Whirlwind or finish it off with an attack like Foul Play.

**Revenge Killers**: Mimikyu's poor Defense and HP mean that faster physical attackers can pick it off once Disguise is broken, especially those that can circumvent Disguise such as Urshifu-R and Choice Scarf Mold Breaker Excadrill.

**Passive Damage**: Mimikyu is very susceptible to passive damage in the form of Rocky Helmet on users like Garchomp, Iron Barbs from Ferrothorn, status, entry hazards, and its own Life Orb.

[OVERVIEW]
Mimikyu is a unique physical sweeper on Fairy thanks to its typing, ability, and use as a revenge killer. Its neutrality to poison and naturally high Special Defense often allows it to live special attacks and set up Swords Dance, even when Disguise has been broken. (It's not a Poison-type switch-in so the Poison neutrality isn't relevant, and the high Special Defense thing comes into play pretty rarely. Just talk about how Disguise allows it to get a free SD / attack off) However, it struggles with common defensive staples (give examples, this point is pretty important - pex, hippo, etc.) and thus functions best as a late-game cleaner, once its teammates have broken down the opposition. It is imperative that Mimikyu's Disguise remains unbroken until it is ready to sweep; a key part of its offensive pressure is having the ability to absorb any hit and set up. The constant threat of setup makes it easy for Mimikyu to revenge kill with Shadow Sneak, as weakened foes will stay in on it fearing a Swords Dance. (this isn't really an overview thing, and you talked about its use as a revenge killer)
- weak to passive damage / easy to wear down

[SET COMMENTS]
Swords Dance boosts its otherwise average Attack stat posing a threat to even defensive teams (this isn't really true) allowing it to threaten a sweep. Shadow Sneak gives Mimikyu useful priority, making it harder for faster Pokemon to revenge kill it for free to threaten faster threats such as Raichu-A and Gengar. This is especially true against Ghost teams, as Mimikyu can clean very easily late-game once defensive pokemon like Galarian Corsola have been sufficiently weakened. Drain Punch provides perfect coverage when used alongside a ghost STAB move, while also healing off accumulated Life Orb recoil. It also hits Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Heatran hard, helping to undo passive damage from the likes of Leech Seed and Toxic. (condense this into one sentence. the relevant information is that it hits Steel-types like Bisharp and Heatran). Play Rough is Mimikyu's strongest STAB move, which cements matchups like Dark and Dragon, and hits Dark- and Dragon-types like Zarude Hydreigon. where Drain Punch and a ghost STAB move alone would not pose as much of a threat. Shadow Claw, while weaker in base power, hits defensive answers to Mimikyu like Celesteela and Toxapex much harder than any other attack, but leaves the set more vulnerable to setup Pokemon like Galarian Moltres and Garchomp. Red Card is an interesting choice on Mimikyu, letting it phase out threatening sweepers like Volcarona, Autotomize Celesteela, and Swords Dance Aegislash that take advantage of lead Klefki's passivity. Life Orb provides Mimikyu extra power to make up for its middling offensive presence. is the more standard item to mak Mimikyu less reliant on Spikes support to clean up late-game. Standard offensive EVs to hit hard and outrun the base 95 speed tier.

Mimikyu appreciates wallbreaking from the likes of Tapu Bulu, which can run a similar Swords Dance set to sweep alongside Mimikyu or a Choice Band one to quickly break down defensive pokemon like Galarian Corsola and Toxapex. Klefki is a mandatory pairing on offensive Fairy teams, setting up dual screens to help Mimikyu set up with ease and spikes to bring opposing teams in range of its boosted attacks. Tapu Fini's Misty Terrain can help Mimikyu setup against more passive pokemon that rely on status, making it a feasible pairing as well (this isn't the point, the point is that tapu fini breaks defensive cores so that mimikyu can sweep)

Checks and Counters
===================

Defensive Poison-Types: Drain Punch and Play Rough Shadow Claw does next to nothing to any decent poison type, and many of them can Haze or finish off Mimikyu if it tries to setup further (examples). It is best to chip these Pokemon with hazards over time or leave a teammate to break them before attempting to sweep.

Physical
Revenge Killers: Mimikyu's poor Defense and HP stats mean that faster physical attackers can pick it off once Disguise is broken, especially those that don't mind taking a Shadow Sneak (Weavile, Zarude) or have strong priority (Bisharp, Urshifu-R, Azumarill, Scizor). The same applies to scarfers like Galarian Zapdos and Psyshock Tapu Lele. Special mention goes to Choice Scarf Mold Breaker Excadrill, which can outspeed and OHKO Mimikyu by ignoring Disguise.
- mimikyu's special defense is really not that insane, you can just say revenge killers

Status: Poison chips Mimikyu down quickly when combined with Life Orb recoil, paralysis leaves it even more vulnerable to being revenge killed, and burn completely hinders its damage output; it's best to avoid statuses as much as possible.
- change this to all passive damage, mention leech seed/helmet, give specific examples

-
steel types
- physical walls

implement this and i'll look at it again

also look at the formatting again, there's a lot of wrong / odd / missing formatting (i mean you were missing two sections at one point). i'm not going to try to correct all of it here since i'm mainly focusing on substance but it will make this analysis a lot easier to qc

and there probably isn't good oo for mimikyu (although i would be fine with drain punch moving to oo and maybe that'll happen) but i'm pretty sure you need to include that section anyway and just say there isn't any viable options.

[OVERVIEW]
Mimikyu is a unique physical (this feels obvious, replace "physical" with setup") sweeper on Fairy thanks to its typing, ability, and use as a revenge killer. Disguise allows it to consistently set up a Swords Dance or finish off weakened opponents that won't go down to a Shadow Sneak. (Lets try combining these two sentences inside of one. you can mention Disguise by the ability tbh and idt you need to explain shadow sneak. "Mimikyu is a unique setup sweeper because of its ability in Disguise allowing it to blank and access to SD and sneak, allowing to blank") (Add a sentence here talking about how its mainly used to improve the psychic and ghost mu for fairy. your standard fairy team doesn't use mimikyu so its important to have a line with it) However, it struggles with common defensive staples (no need to say "staples" and i wouldn't say its accurate, they're common not staples. Pokemon is a better term) such as Toxapex, Celesteela, and Hippwdon, and thus functions best as a late-game cleaner, once its teammates have broken down the opposing defensive core. Mimikyu is also very susceptible to passive damage from hazards, status, and life orb recoil. It is imperative that Mimikyu's Disguise remains unbroken until it is ready to sweep; a key part of its offensive pressure is having the ability to absorb any hit and set up. (The last part isn't really needed, I'd prefer if you merge the last disguise point with the passive damage line.

[SET]

Move 2: Shadow Sneak
Move 3: Shadow Claw
Move 4: Play Rough/Drain Punch
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Disguise

[SET COMMENTS]
Swords Dance boosts its otherwise average Attack stat, allowing it to threaten a sweep. (dex data, you mention sd in the overview so its not needed to repeat or state what it does) Shadow Sneak gives Mimikyu useful priority, threatening faster threats such as Gengar, Alolan Raichu, and Victini. Drain Punch provides perfect coverage when used alongside a ghost STAB move, most notably hitting Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Bisharp hard. Play Rough is Mimikyu's strongest STAB move, which hits Dark and Dragon types like Zarude and Garchomp. Shadow Claw hits defensive answers to Mimikyu like Celesteela and Toxapex much harder than any other attack. Life Orb provides Mimikyu extra power to make up for its middling offensive presence. (The order the moves are listed above should reflect in the paragraph. Mention Slowbro and Galarian Corsola as Shadow Claw examples also.)

Klefki is a mandatory pairing on offensive Fairy teams, setting up dual screens to help Mimikyu set up with ease and spikes to bring opposing teams in range of its boosted attacks. Clefable can reliably remove items with Knock Off and set up Stealth Rock to help Mimikyu sweep late-game. Tapu Koko can offensively pressure many of the defensive pokemon that wall Mimikyu, such as Toxapex and Corviknight, while potentially bringing Mimikyu in with U-turn/Volt Switch pivoting. Tapu Lele pressures the poison types that Mimikyu struggles to break, such as Toxapex and Amoonguss, but the Psychic Terrain it sets can block Mimikyu's own Shadow Sneak. Mimikyu appreciates wallbreaking from the likes of Tapu Bulu, which can run a similar Swords Dance set to sweep alongside Mimikyu or a Choice Band one to quickly break down defensive pokemon like Galarian Corsola and Toxapex. Tapu Fini can break defensive cores with sets like Taunt + Calm Mind, helping Mimikyu sweep late-game. Its Misty Terrain also protects Mimikyu from debilitating status.
(Mention Tapu Fini and Azumarill)

Other Options
===============

Red Card: Red Card is a unique choice on Mimikyu over Life Orb as Fairy tends to struggle with setup sweepers like Swords Dance Aegislash, Quiver Dance Volcarona, and Nasty Plot Thundurus-Therian. As long as Disguise is intact, Mimikyu can live any attack and phase the sweeper out with Red Card while setting up itself. This is especially useful against frailer teams, as with hazards and screens from Klefki set up, Mimikyu can clean late-game with little trouble once the primary setup sweeper has been neutralized by Red Card. While the lack of Life Orb recoil is appreciated, the drop in power is noticeable against bulkier teams. (way too long, cut this down to like 1-2 sentences. mention will-o-wisp here to target defensive pokemon like celes/skarm for bulu and teammates)

Checks and Counters
===================

Defensive Poison-Types: Shadow Claw does next to nothing to any decent poison type, and many of them can finish off Mimikyu if it tries to set up further, such as Foul Play Amoonguss, cripple Mimikyu with status, including Galarian Weezing, Toxapex, and Amoonguss, or Haze away its boosts.

Passive Damage: Mimikyu is very susceptible to passive damage in the form of Rocky Helmet users like Garchomp, Iron Barbs from Ferrothorn, status, hazards, and its own Life Orb.

mention will-o-wisp
I'm not familiar with this addition to the set, would love if you explained it a bit more before I add it to the analysis. Does Mimikyu have room for a status move like that? I assume its replacing Play Rough/Drain Punch.

Mention Tapu Fini
I did already(?) Let me know if I left anything out of the discussion of the Tapu Fini pairing.

Implemented, hopefully everything's been fixed. Thanks for the help!

Mimikyu luring defensive users like Celesteela/Skarmory/Landorus-T/Melmetal to support Tapu Bulu / Azumarill has its niche. Chaitanya has used Thunder Wave / WOW Mimikyu for the same reasons on Ghost teams and Mimikyu alone relies on teammates to make progress before it comes in. This means if it comes in earlier in the match, defensive and naturally bulky Pokemon are prone to switch into Mimikyu so I find it valid reasoning.

The Tapu Fini mention is pretty bland and you need to go into detail about what types it does good against and what defensive pokemon it helps with its Taunt+CM set considering Mimikyu alone can't deal with them.

[OVERVIEW]
- it doesn't consistently boost its attack, it usually boosts once. just say like it can become a potent offensive threat or something
- the way the second sentence is worded makes it seems like it only improves psychic and ghost matchup, i'd say it can improve the matchup against offensive types like Psychic, Ghost, Electric, etc.

[SET COMMENTS]
- edit the order you talk about moves to reflect slashing (play rough before drain punch)

- the bulu examples are a little weird, you definitely don't need to mention toxapex four times. since bulu is usually used to make progress vs steel you should mention steel types like exca, ferrothorn as things bulu can break. also i don't think there's a need to mention band specifically (sd is fine though imo since it's more meta)
- i think you should mention specifically that azumarill can break steel and poison after a belly drum, it's pretty relevant
- you can just remove the last sentence it's unnecessary

[OTHER OPTIONS]
- fix the formatting so it looks like the previous paragraphs
- condense the red card info (red card is an option on mimikyu that can phase out sweepers like (examples) while allowing mimikyu to set up itself at the cost of stronger power from life orb)
- condense wisp info, you don't need 2 sentences for that either (the fact that it's niche is implied and you don't need to mention early game specifically)

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]
- expand the first point to physical walls in general, this way you can mention steels like melmetal & skarm and other physical walls well. again, you don't need to make this super long, you don't need to go super in depth on the different ways they can beat mimikyu
- shorten the revenge killers part, you really only need the first sentence, but i think mention scarfers like urshifu-r and exca that can break disguise is fine - you definitely don't need three sentences though

stuff like "Life Orb" and "Dark" needs to be capitalized all throughout the analysis.

[Overview]
Mimikyu is a unique setup sweeper on Fairy because of its ability Disguise and access to Swords Dance and Shadow Sneak, allowing it to pose an offenor finish off weakened opponents. [They don't necessarily have to be weakened, Shadow Sneak revenge kills faster threats like gengar koko since you pretty much die from an attack before clicking Shadow Sneak. Change this up and provide some examples of faster threats, they don't have to be Ghost / Psychic types exactly and try not to repeat Shadow Sneak examples you've used in the Set Comments.]

[Set Comments]

- Talk about how Bulu breaks defensive pokes like skarm etc specifically to help mimi in better sweeping
- Tapu Fini line is still chicken without flavor. the reader has no idea what defensive cores are on those types. examples are important

[OO]
Just write this as a paragraph, don't include "Red Card:" that is for C&C
