Welcome to Minior Circuit I: Super Staff Bros Ultimate! Showcase your mastery of the customized metagame based on PS Staff in this Single Elimination best-of-3 series (best-of-5 in Quarterfinals onward) tournament. This is the third tournament in our first ever Minior Circuit, featuring some of the more niche but still popular randomised metas on offer!
The winner of this tournament will receive the Room Prize Winner rank for a month, be inducted into the Randbats Hall of Fame, and be awarded points for the Minior Circuit (standings spreadsheet pending), with the winner of the Playoff Round for the circuit earning their choice of a PS! username colour change or username reset, and Room Prize Winner rank for a year!
How does this tour work?
1. Contact your opponent on their Smogon Wall and decide on a time to battle.
2. Battle each other in the format "Super Staff Bros: Ultimate" (found under the "Randomized Metas" dropdown menu).
3. The first player to 2 wins (3 for Quarterfinals onward) advances to the next round.
How does the "Super Staff Bros: Ultimate" format work?
Super Staff Bros is a seasonal ladder format featuring random teams made up of Pokémon created by the staff members of Pokémon Showdown. But these aren't your standard everyday Pokémon; these Pokémon have custom abilities, moves, and even items that do not exist in standard formats! From dealing massive amounts of damage to the opponent's team on death to even permanently scrambling a Pokemon's moveset, these custom moves, abilities, and items have a wide variety of crazy functions that are sure to keep you on your toes. In addition to their custom attributes, these staffmons are named after the PS staff member they represent and post witty messages on their staff me in battle, and there is no limit to how many Mega Evolutions a side may use. Other than these changes, it's just a normal Pokémon battle; the first trainer to KO their opponent's team wins! How do I learn more about this? There's a super handy article that shows the entire roster available, as well their sets, moves, and everything that is custom made for this metagame! You can also learn about specific staff members by doing /ssb [Staff Member's name] in the Pokemon Showdown server or via the article.
Please note:
1. All scheduling attempts MUST be done publicly on Smogon Walls. No other proof of communication will count for act calls regarding scheduling attempts.
2. If participate in any of the future tours in the Circuit after changing your Smogon name, LET US KNOW in your future signup post.
3. You MUST post replays of your wins. Any battles without replays will need to be replayed.
