A Naive Nature is preferred if you use Power Gem as to not lower Minior's damage output from both ends of the spectrum. If Stone Edge is the Rock STAB move of choice, then a Jolly Nature would be best.

Immune to status while setting up. Outspeeds every scarfer in OU after one boost.

It has its weaknesses, namely priority. But with that speed and power it at least has a niche.

In fairness though who's going to "activate" the thing while it sets up? No good OU player will bother directly attacking it until they're ready (set up sweepers who don't mind its STABs so much, ones with SE STABs in general) so there's no real good setup situation with this thing.

With things like Mega Metagross running around, and the fact that it does need a form of activation that'll require subs (which eat into its coverage), it's just pretty crap. I'd say things like Cloyster are still better, as its defences allow for setting without a weird activation and the coverage is better. Minior has never troubled me on the ladder when I've encountered it, despite never actually preparing for it.
