Mix-and-Mega — Now with Primals!

Lol this is going to be interesting.

Speed Boost is crazy on many mons, especially when backed up by high attack and / or a boosting move.

Metagrossite seems interesting too, turning you into a speed demon, boosting noticeably your bulk, and giving you a slight offensive boost in sp.atk, while bolstering Attack with Tough Claws: good Mons for it could be Lucario, with now good Speed, existing bulk and 120 Atk with Tough Claws, or generally slow-ish offensive ones whit useless ability ( imma lookin at u Gallade )

Also, idk but Archeops

EDIT: uh, I see there are 00bers here
Yeah, there are Ubers here. And any fun Mega you devise has to be able to keep up. That's why you get to use as many Megas as you want.

Also, that Speed Boost nonsense is why I just edited the OP to restrict Blazikenite to things that already get Speed Boost.

Metagrossite Gallade and Metagrossite Absol are fun, yeah. Also, Metagrossite Meloetta-Pirouette, except Lopunnite Meloetta-Pirouette is generally scarier due to less 3MSS.

And yeah, Archeops. Kinda scary, but I don't feel like it's too terrifying compared to Ubers. For example, Diancite Archeops only barely OHKOs Mega Mewtwo Y with Stone Edge. Mega Mewtwo Y is not known for being the pinnacle of physical bulk.

So.. you think 129 Attack Stat Pure Power isn't worth looking at?

And it makes no sense flavorwise. By your reasoning, you should let Toxic Boost and Unburden mons have Speed Boost as well (If it gets banned).
I do indeed think it's worth looking at. That's why I asked what the community thought of it.

Manectite Skarm seems pretty interesting as a physical wall, particularly if paired with Sableite Blissey.

some calcs (adjusted stats, ofc):
-1 252 Atk Meloetta Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 90-106 (27 - 31.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
-1 252+ Atk Pure Power Mega Mawile Focus Punch vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 119-141 (35.7 - 42.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
-1 252+ Atk Sand Force Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory in Sand: 100-118 (30 - 35.4%) -- 25.2% chance to 3HKO

also, maybe i'm misinterpreting the forme clause, but is it possible for Ditto to m-evo while transformed and keep two sets of boosts? I can't think why it wouldn't but it seems absurd.

Manectite seems like a good pick for a physical wall, giving a nice boost to Speed and SpAtk, while making Physical Attackers weaker with Intimidate.

Banettite could be useful too: Prankster is very valuable, and the big kick in attack is not something to be ignored.

Actually, Togekiss would be better running Aerial Ace than Pluck because Evasion Clause is not a thing in Ubers. I should know, I once tried to ladder with an EvadePass Smeargle Baton Passing to a Power Trick Shuckle.

Also, an interesting proposal, why not allow the Red Orb and the Blue Orb too? They technically aren't Mega Evolutions, but they still are pretty similar. I don't think they will turn out to be broken, since they don't gain any additional speed and very little bulk to capitalize of the offensive or the defensive boost of their ability.
For the record, the changes are

Red Orb
+30 Atk, +20 Def, +50 SAtk, gains Desolate Land, gains Fire type, gains 49,7 kg

Blue Orb
+30 SAtk, +20 SDef, +50 Atk, gains Primordial Sea, gains 78 kg

The real problem with those would be the abilities. but i doubt it would be broken though based on that

Smergal should be able to mega-evolve to mega rayquaza(only thig that get's dragon ascent)--it would be the sole user and not the least bit broken considering it get's nothing from the ability and has realy bad stats to begin with.

Yeah ditto may have to be dealt with specialy other wise we could end up with mega-sabelye-mega sabelye which would likly be insane bulk. though something with more moderate boosts would probably be more adavantgous to avoid iligalities

Tornadus@Pidgeotite
252 SpA / 248 Spe / 8 HP
Timid Nature
-Hurricane
-Focus Blast
-Dark Pulse
-U-Turn

Tornadus with this thing gets Base 190 Special Attack, No Guard and enough speed to outrun Base 130s. Hurricane and Focus Blast are really strong and have solid coverage while Dark Pulse hits some of the Steels not weak to Fighting. U-Turn can be used to keep momentum as there's little that you still need coverage for, though Sludge Wave might be useful on some fairies.

Lucario @ Diancite
Ability: Justified --> Magic Bounce
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant/Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Ice Punch
- Swords Dance

With 70/170/30/175/30/150, it has as almost as high of an attack stat as Deoxys-Attack, equal speed, and more bulk. Magic Bounce renders it immune to status moves, such as Will-o-Wisp, that could keep it from sweeping. Close Combat is there to wreck the enemy. Ice Punch provides coverage. Extreme Speed is there to defeat enemy priority users that might otherwise KO Lucario. Swords Dance can be used against pokemon that can't beat you in 1 turn to get past them (i.e. Blissey @ Slowbronite without flamethrower, Giratina with Roar instead of Dragon Tail).

There are a few pokemon it can't beat, such as Lugia (unless you can get it to +4 first), Mega Aggron (unless you can get it to +2), SD Arceus-Ghost (unless you can get it to +6 first), that it wants removed before it tries to sweep. It also likes SR to turn chance of OHKOes into OHKOes against some bulkier pokemon, especially if you run Jolly.

It functions best against offensive teams as they don't carry pokemon that Lucario can't OHKO and their priority users are frail enough to be taken out by Extreme Speed.

What happens if I give a Mega Stone that drops a stat below the actual stat of the Pokémon? Anything that weights less than 89 kg is going to have negative weight if it holds the Mewtwonite Y, same with Lopunnite and anything that weights less than 5 kg.

Unrelated but still

Victini @ Pidgeotite
Ability: Victory Star (->No Guard)
Evs: 252 SAtk/252 Spd/4 Def
Timid Nature
-Inferno
-Focus Blast
-Thunder
-U-Turn/Psyshock

Stats: 100/100/105/165/110/120

ayy lmao

If you go above 255 in a base stat or to or below 0 in a base stat you can't use that Mega Stone. Says so right in the OP.

FlameUser and I did not discuss weight in detail, and I was genuinely surprised to learn that some Mega Stones reduce weight. Probably that's another "You can't use this Mega Stone", if only because the possibility of negative weight interacting with Heavy Slam/Heat Crash is horrible.

FlameUser64 you might want to make the OP tag me for clarity.

considering the way this meta works I think these might be possible(maybe not)

Smeargle @ Lopunnite
normal/fighting
55/110/55/50/55/125
-Fake Out
-Extreme Speed
-Dragon Ascent
-High Jump Kick

Smeargle @ Altarianite
normal/fairy
55/90/65/90/55/95
-Fake Out
-Extreme Speed
-Boomburst
-Dragon Ascent

fortunately few of these are viable and none are broken

also megas should just inherit the megas weight instead of adding/subtracting

What happens if your base stat falls to exactly zero? Like, will a Sharpedo with Diancite die to any attack since it has no defenses?

This is the calculation for the Defense stats.
Statcalc_gen12.png

So if you fill in 0, with 0 IV's and EV's, to calculate minimum, you get ((0+0+0)*100)/50+5. This will result in 0+5, so Sharpedo will have a Defense stat of 5, if it runs to IV's at least, in which case it's quite some higher. It'll still die to all attacks, but it might survive a move by a FEAR Pokemon or something.

No, it wouldn't be too bad for the weight based moves. Heavy Slam/Heat Crash work because the BP does not do weird things with a negative weight. If the target has negative weight and the user positive, it is 120 BP. If the user has negative weight and the target has positive, then it will be 20 BP. If they both have negative weight, then the BP is determined normally and still works. For Grass Knot/Low Kick, the target's negative weight is below 10 kg, so it would be 20 BP.

The reason that other stats going negative is not allowed is because those stats would behave weirdly (negative defense stat means physical attacks deal negative damage).

What happens if your base stat falls to exactly zero? Like, will a Sharpedo with Diancite die to any attack since it has no defenses?

Your defense stat would be (assuming level 100), 5+EVs/4+IVs, modified by the nature, probably giving a defense stat of 32 (-nature) or 36. The scenario you probably meant (having an actual defense stat of 0) would crash the game as you divide by zero.

Magmortar with Charizardite Y
Base stats: 75/95/67/125/95/83 -> 75/115/67/175/125/83
Ability: Flame Body or Vital Spirit -> Drought

Magmortar @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Vital Spirit -> Drought
Nature: Modest or Timid, probably the latter
IVs and EVs: All 31's; presumably 252 SAtk, 252 Speed, and 4 to something other than HP
1) Fire Blast / Flamethrower (power vs accuracy debate)
2) Solar Beam (for after Mega-evolving)
3) Focus Blast?
4) [filler] Thunderbolt, Psychic, Hyper Beam, a physical attack to surprise a special wall, something

Mega-evolve and destroy stuff. Funny fact, against most dragons, on the first use Hyper Beam out-damages a lot of things Magmortar usually carries since Normal is not resisted and those other types are. Of course it has the delay penalty that makes it an utter liability.

The special attack boost is very close to a Life Orb if Magmortar is maxed out, and brings no recoil. The special bulk boost is very welcome and the attack boost can be useful although this doesn't use it.

minimum BP for low kick and Heavy slam is 40

But Ubers is allowed, it says Uber banlist and clauses, not OU banlist and clauses, that means M-Ray is banned, Moody, evasion, stuff like that

Also, Metagrossite Garchomp
108/140/115/90/105/142

Great 108/115/105 bulk and ferocious 140 attack and 142 speed.

E: Also, Flame keeps saying you're allowed as many megas as you want, but on the OP, it says only one mega per team. Can someone clarify?

Ubers can't mega into anything other than their own mega. it says you can't use more than one of each mega stone(extension of species clause so that there aren't 2 mega altarias etc.)

And here I come, finding reasons for Flygon to be cool.

Oh, the holy grail of stab combos! And look at that, it's backed up by mixed attacking capability.
Flygon @ Altarianite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Boomburst
- Earthquake/Earthpower
- Fire Blast/Flamethrower
-Quick Attack/Superpower/Stone Edge (or just keep rocks up, you dummy)
