MLB 2016

ok finally got around to looking at keepers, i have easy decisions:
bogaerts for 6.5 (5/13)
bryant for 17.5 (3 (LOL) / 35)
harper for 27 (27/45)
arrieta for 12.5 (7/25)
jose fernandez for 11.5 (8/23)
degrom for 10 (4/20)

total cost 85, 175/260 remaining

best core of keepers and i still have more money than y'all for the draft, this is looking like an easy title defense

(also lol at carlos santana being my 4th most expensive player last year, how the fuck did i recover from that)

also im east coast but i dont mind staying up however late, so whatever is fine on friday
 
Where can I find the player values for 2015? I found the projected values on Yahoo so I just made this tentative lineup. I know it's low right now, but I'll edit it to get in the higher values from 2015. Let me know if I'm doing something incorrectly, and sorry for being such a rookie.

Go to our league page on Yahoo. Hover your cursor over the "Draft" tab at the top, and click on "Last Season". Find your team, and use the numbers in the first column that says Auction Cost.

Candidly, I invested in pitching because I felt that a lot of my bats were drastically overpriced due to high expectations for 2015. Guess I'll just have to draft well.

Looking at everyone's prices and costs I can't justify going into the auction with the second most money committed while relying on young keepers to step up as I am.

I will release Goldschmidt and his $51 price tag into the draft pool and be keeping Chris Davis for $12 instead

Also seems like we're on board with 9 PM EDT on Friday?

Just so you're aware, you CAN keep less than 6 if you so choose.

Also did the projected values change since I first put them in?

EDIT: Yes they did certainly change. I will go in and update the 2016 Projected values with them as they currently are. When should we place the cutoff for projected values changing?

Today's values should be the cutoff I'd say. If we're drafting Friday, I don't want to see instability with values. I need to revise my draft plan now that a few of my targets have been made keepers.
 
Hmmm, looks like I have a decision to make with keepers. Only reason I haven't released Trout into the wild yet is I reckon he'll have a chance at 40/40, but $69 is absurd so I just may.

Also Imanalt straight up value for money wise, I'd agree with you. Personnel wise though, I think my keeper core more than stacks up. Trout/Arenado/Betts/Correa is 4 top 15 players, plus I have Sano with massive potential. As it stands, I see two on your roster (Bryant, Harper).

Also I have opted to change my last keeper to Votto for $20 and keep my other five keepers the same (Donaldson, Abreu, JDMart, Springer, Schwarber).

He's not gonna go as high as he was. If he is, I'll just let one of you guys overpay. As it stands, I'm still gonna likely change my mind a few times before keepers are locked.

Edit: Forgot that we have two NA slots, so I dropped Travis Shaw in order to pick up A.J. Reed and Tyler Glasnow. I'll try to regain Shaw though, like what he's doing this spring.

12 teams, Yahoo. my 4 keepers were Gordon, Arenado, Bumgarner, Kluber. categories are R, HR, RBI, SB, BB, K, AVG, OBP, XBH and W, CG, SV, K, BB, HLD, ERA, WHIP, QS

It seems fine, although I hate your staff after Bum, Klubot, and Thor. Also why did you draft Robertson and Rondon if there isn't a saves category?

my b there's saves forgot that one. so you hate my 4th-6th starters? if that's the only bad thing i'll take it.
 
Just as a reminder that you need to go in and physically select your 6 keepers on your team league page by tomorrow. These will be your final keepers. If there are crazy mitigating circumstances where your keeper gets murdered or loses his arm in a freak shag ball incident before the draft, I'm sure that Biggie will let you change.

After the draft though, it's shit luck for you. :)

EDIT: Also, make sure you vote on the 2 rule changes on the League Page! As it stands we have a 3 year cap on keepers and we also are changing the playoff tiebreak system to highest seed has the tie break.

The only keeper changes that have been made since the spreadsheet was last updated were Lindor, Matz, Votto, and Belt, correct?
 
Just did my HS League fantasy draft on ESPN tonight, and I have the highest ceiling team that I've ever seen before. I am kinda short on pitching but I've drafted high upside pitchers and plan to work my streaming magic.

I will very excitedly post this ESPN team on here after our draft tomorrow. I'd like feedback but at the same time not give away my high upside sleepers for tomorrow.
