Monkeys and Walls and a Mythical Serpent

Hi, I'm new to competitive battling, but I think this is a semi-decent team for a beginner. Right, right? Well, maybe not, but you'll be the judge of that. Anyway, onto the important stuff. I'm going for a stall/wall team to whittle down the opponent and then go in for the kill. Here goes:

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers| Sassy | Iron Barbs
-Spikes
-Stealth Rock
-Leech Seed
-Explosion

Ferrothorn will be my lead and will set up Spikes and Stealth Rock. I'll use Leech Seed to whittle down as much HP as possible from the opponent. Then I'll go out with Explosion when Ferrothorn becomes useless (I'll spam Spikes even after its full use until due "boom time").

Chansey @ Eviolite | Bold | Natural Cure
-Light Screen
-Softboiled
-Seismic Toss
-Toxic

Chansey be yet another lovely stall. I'll use Light Screen to tank Sp. Attacks and then go for Toxic to wear down the opponent. Softboiled will be obviously used to heal damage and Seismic Toss will be used to hurry along the match. Pretty basic Chansey set.

Milotic @ Zoom Lens | Bold | Marvel Scale
-Surf
-Hypnosis
-Dragon Tail
-Recover

Milotic will use Hypnosis (accuracy boosted with Zoom Lens) and then Dragon Tail out the competition to Surf them senseless. I could potentially use this to cripple sweepers and beat them senseless before they can do anything. And let's not forget that switching out resets the sleep counter, he he. Recover will be used to heal, obviously.

Smeargle @ Focus Sash | Jolly | Own Tempo
-Shell Smash
-Baton Pass
-Spore
-Ingrain

The classic Shell Smash set. I'll use Shell Smash and then a Spore to make the opponent sleep (assuming I'm using Smeargle before Milotic). Then I'll go for the Ingrain and then Baton Pass my sorry butt out, passing the stat changes to my sweeper.

Dragonite @ Choice Scarf | Adamant | Multiscale
-Outrage
-ExtremeSpeed
-Fire Punch
-Earthquake

Dragonite will be boosted by Shell Smash and unleash hell on the unsuspecting (I'm too cocky for my own good) opponent. Aaaand, that's it for Dragonite.

Conkeldurr @ Toxic Orb | Adamant | Guts
-Drain Punch
-Mach Punch
-Façade
-Ice Punch

With Guts, Conkeldurr will become an unstoppable killer. Aaand that's as deep as he goes.

So, whaddya think? I appreciate any advice. Thanks for reading.

Welcome to the meta bro! Even though I hate stall, I'll still rate your team. Anyways, you might want to run protect on ferrothorn over explosion. Explosion, despite its massive base power, it doesn't do too much from a ferrothorn. Protect on the other hand can help you scout out moves, drain HP with leech seed as well as gaining some in return.

Now onto Chansey. Having an already monster spec def, I don't think it's nescessary to run light screen. More than likely you'll be hit with physical attacks so it won't help much unless its for team mates. Maybe run protect over it, again, for scouting purposes as well as another turn of toxic.

No offense but zoom lens on milotic is kinda dumb, it interesting but I personally think lefties recovery is more favorable. Also, maybe run scald over surf, despite the lower power the 30% burn is pretty nice. It can basically cripple physical attackers and helps against walls as well. That's all I got for now though. Gl!

I wouldn't really call this a stall team, what with a smashpassing Smeargle. More of a balance team, IMO.

Anyhow, welcome to competitive battling! First thing I think you'll want to do is say what EVs you gave each Pokemon (it's important). Also, you'll want to say more about each pokemon, or a mod will come and lock the thread.

Moving on to the team, I would recommend changing Dragonite's item to a Lum Berry. Since he's going to be the main recipient of Shell Smash, it would suck to have him crippled with paralysis on the switch. Also, with a potential +2 Speed boost and Extremespeed, he hardly needs the extra speed. Being able to switch moves will definitely help him sweep.

Other than that, I might suggest trying to fit a spinner somewhere on your team, as it will help both Smeargle and Dragonite. A Life Orb Starmie over Milotic seems to fit particularly well, as it can also sweep at +2/+2/+2, and will be almost impossible to spinblock against if boosted. Psyshock over Thunderbolt lets you bypass special walls, and you won't miss the extra coverage too much at +2.

Finally, with both Starmie and Chansey, you can easily beat Heatrans; therefore, you could probably give Dragonite Dragon Dance over Earthquake; it can help if Smeargle is down, and a +2 Outrage will do upward of 65% to an offensive Heatran.

I hope you give my recommended changes a try, and have fun with the team!

Starmie @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4HP/ 252 SpA / 252 Spe
