Mono-Normal Team

What started as a joke with my cousins and I, actually turned out to be, what i consider, a decent team, but i would like to know if i can improve it in any way...

Ambipom @ Life Orb (Feces)
Technician
Jolly
252 Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4 HP
-Fake Out
-Double Hit
-U-Turn
-Shadow Claw

My leadoff. Start with a Fake Out, usually no matter who they use as a starter, just to get some damage in. Ambipom is quick, so I usually have no problems U-Turning out of problem situations. If I see no threats, I usually just Double Hit for the STAB and Technician. Shadow Claw is for Ghosts.

Togekiss @ King's Rock (Chicken)
Serene Grace
Bold
228 HP/ 188 Def/ 88 SpDef/ 4 Speed
-Air Slash
-Thunder Wave
-Aura Sphere
-Roost

Standard Flinch-Hax Togekiss. I've used this set many many times in the past, and I just like how it works so well for me, plus Togekiss is one of my favorite pokemon. Togekiss is the only non-mono type normal on my team. King's Rock is for more flinch. I'm not entirely sure if King's Rock works though, I've heard that it increases the flinch chance for Air Slash, I've also heard it doesn't. I just keep it on to avoid the items clause, and so Aura Sphere has an off chance of flinching.

Lickilicky @ Leftovers (ImaLickYou)
Own Tempo
Careful
160 HP/ 208 SpDef/ 140 Atk
-Curse
-Power Whip
-Explosion
-Body Slam

Curseilicky. I usually switch him in and use him to absorb Special Defense attacks, curse up, and then Body Slam, hoping to paralyze along the way. Power Whip for a little more coverage than just Normal. Explosion is generally for Blissey.

Blissey @ Leftovers (Bitchy)
Natural Cure
Bold Nature
252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 SpAtk
-Thunder Wave
-Ice Beam
-Softboiled
-Seismic Toss

Switch in on an expected Special Attack and paralyze. Seismic Toss for damage and continue until Softboiled is needed. Ice Beam is for Dragonites and Salamences, or just anything else weak to ice.

Porygon-Z @ Focus Sash (Nature)
Adaptability
Modest
100 HP/252SpAtk/156 Speed
-Agility
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Tri Attack

Agility Z. Another one of my favorite pokemon, Z is pretty much a staple in most of my teams. This set pretty much explains itself, Agility up and then proceed to sweep the best it can.

Tauros @ Choice Band (Thumper)
Intimidate
Adamant
52 HP/ 252 Atk/ 204 Spd
-Double-Edge
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
-Pursuit

I needed more physical coverage on standard attacks, and I think Tauros isn't used enough, so i figured why not? Switch in usually on a faint and proceed to sweep, and switch accordingly.

Weaknesses: Fighting - this seems kind of obvious, though. Togekiss helps, but nothing is guaranteed.

Problems: Under items clause, I have two pokemon with leftovers, I wouldn't mind some suggestions on a replacement item for either Blissey or Lickilicky

Actually, regardless of whether it's banned or not, it has no effect on moves that already have flinch side effects, so Air Slash is not boosted at all.

For the Lickylicky, you mention that Explosion is for Blissey, but I wouldn't waste it on that blob. It really has no business switching in on something Cursing, and even if it did, Body Slam would hit it decently enough if you have enough boosts without sacrificing Lickilicky (yay for using Lickilicky!).

On Tauros, I think Return will serve you better. Double-Edge will really put a damper on Tauros' survivability, which really isn't that bad- Intimidate + decent Defense is quite nice.

Right now, Togekiss seems to be your only hope against Fighting types. If you are playing on normal Mono-team rules, you're allowed one Pokemon that is not of the type. If that was the case, I'd suggest a ghost type (Spiritomb comes to mind). If you're playing a mono-team for your own amusement and want it to be pure, then I don't know what else to change (besides maaaaybe changing Porygon-Z to a Sub, Agility, Dark Pulse, Tri-Attack @ Petaya berry set ^^).

If I were just to throw some things around, I'd say you could abuse one of the offensive birds, Swellow or Staraptor. But, eh.

It's all good. I'm pretty sure King's Rock doesnt boost flinch rate of AirSlash anyway. From what I've been told... but i might be wrong.. heh, maybe leftovers over kings rock. And NP over roost... or NP over Aura...

How about you choose one of those normal pokes to swap for like say, a Ghost type. Just so you can kinda cover it... I recommend.

Dusknoir (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 116 HP/16 Atk/180 Def/196 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Shadow Sneak
- Will-o-wisp
- Pain Split
- Ice Punch / Thunder Punch / Fire Punch / Sub

HP evs gives it a good leftovers number. Not all that hp so Dusky can use Pain Split better. That way you can burn pokes, and help your team defensivley.

I think if you would be intrested in trading Porygon-Z as well, if you want a more defensive core, try this; Boltbeam is always good coverage.

Porygon2 @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 248 HP/228 Def/32 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Toxic
- Recover
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

anyway good luck... looks good for mono-normal. CB trapping Tauros is fun

Replace shadow claw with payback, it has better coverage
And maybe fit wish on lickilicky, that way it could easily tank up 4-6 curses and go for a bulky sweep...

Thanks for the suggestions guys =D

@7ay: its funny, i actually have that exact dusknoir in my box somewhere, but i plan on keeping this a Normal team, i'm conisdering the Porygon2 though.

@Ubers are Awesome: I'll probably change out Shadow Claw for Payback, but what move do you suggest dropping for Wish on Lickilicky?

If you do use wish, which is not neccesary, it should go over explosion, as the two moves contradict each other, wish being about surviving, explosion being about dieing and getting a big hit.

I'll consider it over Explosion, but I do feel that Blissey is a threat to my team as a whole, so I might just keep it to keep her out of the way. Thanks!
