mono psychic team

i made a couple of mono teams, trying what i best, looking through lists of potential teams and found that psychic is diverse enough in duel types to run a competitive mono team

u-turn

basic scouting azelf, a perfect lead when you have type restrictions, the added bonus of u-turn allowing decent damage on annoying leads with bug weaknesses (other psychics ttar..) fire good on the sudden influx of zong leads, and explosion is for removing blisseys and other annoying heavy walls.

its a wobby, it doesnt do much but annoy set up pokes, removing them from the game if i know it will be 2hko by destiny bond, or locking a pokemon in place using a move so i can switch in another poke (starmie, jirachi etc) or basically just killing them with counter or mirror coat..

due to IV/nature restrictions this was the strongest stats combo possible with hidden power fighting, which is there of course to remove dark types which counter psychics with little problem, can be used to self set up off the wobbys encore or on a move that won't do much to steel.

as i already have an exploder, and practially no electric moves that last move was a no brainer, agility can be used if i can get wobby to lock something not effective against steel, allowing the agility to allow me to outspeed the fires and ground types which might come in on me, fires get killed by EQ grounds take heavy off meteor mash.

had to run thunderbolt, an extra piece of water coverage was needed and it allows dark types to be hit, trace allows for some nice effects, especially as i could bring this on a shedinja trying to status burn it with will o wisp (forcing it to switch out or die) giving me its power, also same with vaporeon bring it in on a surf and take advantage of the heals, same with swift swim, taking that and throwing thunderbolts around in the rain can ruin those teams.


by using things like steel deul types i have removed the weaknesses that dark and bug provide and gengar cant OHKO jirachi allowing that to kill it
 
I seriously do not advise leading with Azelf. If you do, Scarf it. Weavile leads will get you.
Also, speaking of Weavile, I'm sure you know about your weakness to it. Yet aside from Jirachi, nothing can hit it before they get hit. I would advise you to make your Metagross the Choice Band variety, and add Bullet Punch onto it to deal with Weavile. Also, you can somewhat kill Tyranitar too.
 
This is probably a problem with all mono-psychic teams, and is probably impossible to fix using the theme, but you have no safe switchins to ScarfGar, CBHeracross, or Yanamega (especially Specs versions). CMRestTalkSpiritomb also walls 5/6 of your team.
