SS LC Mono Rock hazard stack (yes this is lc)

Note: This team was made specifically for other LC Monotype teams. Due to the abundance of Mienfoo, Pawniard and Grookey, it's kinda impossible to reliably use this team in regular LC. Here are the monotype LC resources if you're curious.

Mono rock isn't nearly as bad in LC monotype and I love it. Since LC has a lot less hazard removal than in OU and monotype, hazard stack can be insanely fun for a mono rock team. The offensive pressure from mono rock in LC is also just a lot stronger. It's easy to get overwhelmed without hazard removal. It still has a horrible matchup against steel, fighting and water (dark too because of pawniard and carvanha) but it's matchups against all the other types are a lot better. Overall, this is still a really fun monotype despite still being held back a bit by rock's typing.

:ss/anorith:
:anorith:Anorith @ Eviolite:eviolite:
Ability: Battle Armor
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 SpD / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- X-Scissor
- Knock Off
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock

Anorith is this team's main option for hazard removal. X-Scissor is for grass and psychic types and Knock Off is Knock Off. It's running Stealth Rock over Rock Blast because rock stab on every mon isn't needed for mono rock and Stealth rock Anorith allows Dwebble to forego Stealth Rock for another move slot which I'll get to later. Anorith is just a decently bulky spinner that does it's job well without sacrificing mono rock's much needed offensive pressure.

:ss/lileep:
:lileep:Lileep @ Eviolite:eviolite:
Ability: Storm Drain
Level: 5
EVs: 228 HP / 220 Def / 60 SpD
Impish Nature
- Seed Bomb
- Curse
- Amnesia
- Recover

Ah yes, Cradily but not a worthless piece of trash this time. The standard Lileep set is fine but it struggles from the same problem as Cradily in mono rock teams where running a defensive set can easily kill the offensive pressure. So I ran a Curse set! Why not? LC doesn't need to worry about Toxic, Trick or Taunt as much so Curse Lileep can more reliably act as a set up sweeper against mono ground, water, or other rock teams. Said monotypes don't have as much counterplay against Lileep either. While Cradily is a useless punching bag that drags the team down by killing offensive pressure and not even doing it's job 90% of the time, Lileep is a genuinely useful pokemon that covers rock's threats pretty well.

:ss/tirtouga:
:tirtouga:Tirtouga @ Eviolite:eviolite:
Ability: Solid Rock
Level: 5
EVs: 4 HP / 212 Atk / 12 Def / 76 SpD / 180 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt
- Shell Smash

I'm not 100% sure why this is ranked S tier instead of A in the viability rankings. Sure, it helps against ground and rock but it's pretty neutral against most other matchups. It's still pretty good tho. It's natural physical bulk combined with solid rock makes it able to set up without dying and get a good chunk of damage off. Earthquake is valuable against steel types and Zen Headbutt is for fighting.

:ss/archen:
:archen:Archen @ Choice Scarf :choice-scarf:
Ability: Defeatist
Level: 5
EVs: 224 Atk / 84 SpA / 196 Spe
Naive Nature
- Rock Blast
- Dual Wingbeat
- Earthquake
- Heat Wave

Easily this team's MVP. Scarfed Archen outspeeds the entire unboosted metagame (besides scarf mienfoo) and provides invaluable offensive pressure and wallbreaking potential. Defeatist is it's biggest flaw for obvious reasons which makes Anorith's role as a spinner even more valuable. As long as you keep it over half health, it's an amazing wallbreaker / revenge killer. When it does go under half, you can sack it for a safe switch into other mons. While U-Turn is also a good 4th move, I'm running Heat Wave for a bit of extra coverage against steel and grass. Especially Ferroseed who's a huge pain against mono rock with Knock Off and Thunder Wave spam.

:ss/tyrunt:
:tyrunt:Tyrunt @ Eviolite:eviolite:
Ability: Strong Jaw
Level: 5
EVs: 204 Atk / 76 SpD / 212 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rock Blast
- Close Combat
- Psychic Fangs
- Dragon Dance

Tyrunt is Tyrunt and it's on this team to do Tyrunt things. I'm not sure what to say since we all know what Tyrunt does. It's a Dragon Dance sweeper with good attack and enough bulk to reliably set up. It's also not weak to water or grass which is pretty valuable. Rock Blast is preferred over stone edge for every LC rock attacker, Close Combat is for steel and dark types while Psychic Fangs is for fighting and poison.

:ss/dwebble:
:dwebble:Dwebble @ Eviolite:eviolite:
Ability: Weak Armor
Level: 5
EVs: 36 HP / 156 Atk / 76 Def / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rock Blast
- Knock Off
- Counter
- Spikes

Finally, we have our Spikes setter. Since mono rock naturally murders Natu, Dwebble has no problem setting up spikes so the team's other mons can apply even more pressure. This is basically the standard spikes Dwebble set except for Counter. Since I can easily afford another Stealth Rock mon in the form of Anorith, Counter over stealth rock on Dwebble is great for punishing physical attackers who try to break Dwebble. This combined with Knock Off to cripple teams further, Dwebble is practically made for hazard stack rock.

Threats:
:pawniard: You ever find it weird that the pawn Pokemon evolves into a bishop? Why would you not pick the queen when promoting your Chess pawns? You could even make it so male Pawniards evolve into a knight since knights are more iconic than bishops to begin with. Anyways, Pawniard murders rock for obvious reasons. It's a strong mon that runs Iron Head. It also has Knock Off to remove Eviolite and Sucker Punch to deal with my faster mons.
:mienfoo::timburr:I can't think of a single scenario where mono fighting doesn't just immediately murder any mono rock team. Even though only 3 of my mons are actually weak to fighting, 1 of them is a frail Archen and the 2 bug types can easily be overwhelmed with fighting stab.
:carvanha::inkay:Let's mention mono dark too while we're at it. Carvanha, Inkay and Pawniard all have strong coverage against rock and there's not much counterplay here.
:ferroseed:Grass / Steel typing + Knock Off + T-wave spam = A really painful mon for rock to handle. At least it has no recovery so it gets overwhelmed if played well.
:croagunk:I didn't realize it ran Vacuum wave until now so it's actually kinda insane against this team. Against mono poison, never let Croagunk set up. In hindsight, I threw hard in the test match because I didn't really know how to beat Croagunk.
:diglett::trapinch:Do I have to say it?

There's no ladder for LC monotype so the only test games I could get were from the few people on discord who were willing to make a team. As a result, these were the only test rounds I could get srry. I'll probably update this section if I get more replays tho.
Rock vs Grass (grookey is banned in lc monotype so yea)
Rock vs Psychic
Rock vs Poison

I know barely anyone plays LC monotype but I'd like to hear feedback on this team. What should I change? And if you've made it this far, thanks for reading!
