Mono-Type Dark B/W OU Team (first team and post)

Hey y'all

I have lurked on Smogon since the release of Pokemon Black and White, and finally I decided to try my hand on competitive Wi-Fi battle.

Since this is my first thing ever and I probably won't win very much I decided to make a team I at least enjoy. So I decided on a mono-type Dark Team.

All your tips and feedback would be much apprecieted, but remember this is this dutch lurker's first Wi-Fi team :D

So lets get right into it:

Lead:

[pimg]447[/pimg]

Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Nature: Bold
- Psychic
- Shadowball
- Pain Split
- Will o'Wisp

My defensive wall and my main weapon against fighting types. Pain Split is there to let it live just a bit longer. Shadowball for Ghost and Psychic types. Psychic for Fighting types. Will o'Wisp is for obviously lowering the attacks of those fighting things.

With only 50 base HP stat, Spiritomb is very weak. Still it has no weaknesses and Pain Split for survivability and like I siad it is the main thing for fighting types.

Lead 2:

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability: Sandstorm
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Nature: Careful
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge

Tyranitar is my special wall. It's sandstorm is also very good for Krookodile and to get rid of other weather effects. It is not my lead because my other pokemon are not very fond of the Sandstorm.

It is also my stealth rock user. Since tyranitar is not my lead it probably won't be up ever game.

Scrafty @ Life Orb
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
- Dragon Dance
- Ice Punch
- Crunch
- Drain Punch

My first core and physical sweeper. Drain Punch is basically there so it has some survivability and so it can use Life Orb. Ice Punch so I can cover Dragons with this beastly pokemon aswell.

Core 2:

Krookodile @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Thunder Fang
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Stone Edge

Earthquake for STAB and well its EQ. Crunch is STAB and Thunder Fang so it can revenge kill bulky water. Together with Hydreigon they have perfect coverage.

Krookodile is quite fraile so it needs to come in quick and hard, so Choice Scarf is the item of choice.

Core 3:

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitatie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
- Dragon Meteor
- Surf
- Focus Blast
- Fire Blast

Special sweeper and revenge killer. This is basically the same story as with Krookodile; come in hard and fast.

Honchkrow @ Leftovers
Ability: Insomnia
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Def
Nature: Adamant
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Sucker Punch
- Aerial Ace

This last poke is a somewhat different set. Things I don't have covered wel are bug type, like Scizor and U-Turners. Honchkrow should be my answer for that. That's why its a max HP set, with roost offcourse. Insomnia so it can come in to grass types like Venusaur and the obvious Sleep Powders and it should be able to kill them with the flying type moves.

Ok that's it. Hope you guys can give me some valuable feedback and sorry if the layout of my post isn't very good. Like I said it's my first post. :D

Thanx for reading!

I'd recommend switching Crunch for Fire Blast on Tyranitar, you already have enough Dark moves on your team and your team is pretty much walled by Skarmory if Hydreigon is gone, or choiced on some other move. Also, Aerial Ace seems pointless on Honchkrow in my opinion, Superpower or Heat Wave could be more useful.

If you can fit one on, I'd also highly recommend Cacturne. It's a beast in the Sand if it manages to get a substitute up, thanks to Sand Veil, Swords Dance and Sucker Punch.

Thanx for the feedback GtM. Heat Wave is a Gen 4 only move for Honchkrow.

Cacaturne looks very good, not sure what I should take out instead though.

Any more feedback from other people? It would be greatly appreciated!
