I have just started to look around the Smogon forums and reading threads but nothng really helped my water team. Just for the information, this is a water only team. I don't really know where to get real help like sharpening my battling skills or IVs. But I hope you guys could help rate my team or give suggestions. Thank in advance!
My Pokemon:
Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Nature: Impish
- Earthquake
- Avalanche
- Stealth Rock
- Waterfall / Rock Slide / Stone Edge
This guy keeps all the electric types away from me. And also helps take blows from the physical side. He also sets up Stealth Rocks to chip health off of annoying switching Pokemon. I'm sort of having a hard time with choosing the right move for the last slot. Waterfall is for STAB, and Rock Slide and Stone Edge is for ATTEMPTING to kill the "Toxic Stall Zapdos". Nothing else really...
Kingdra @ Leftovers? Life orb?
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 168 HP / 188 Atk / 152 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
Heh, this Pokemon is one of my favorites. I might not have the raw stats, but it has incredible typing. Well, this was just a coincidence, but I found the Rest, Sleep Talk, and Thrash combo while in the Battle Tower...then I found Smogon! So I decided to follow the moveset. I covers for my grass and electric weakness...somewhat. And also absorbs staus?
Tentacruel @ Leftovers?
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD
Nature: Calm
- Surf
- Giga Drain
- Toxic Spikes
- Knock off / Sludge Bomb
Tentacruel is my jellyfish...I like the jellyfish...other than that...He comes packed with resistances. But he is weak to the ever popular Earthquake. He also Toxic Spikes! Giga Drain is to get some HP other than his leftovers...and also can 2HKO Swampert that could potentially wall this set. Knock off gets rid of leftovers or any other items, and cripples the Pokemon.
Bibarel @ Leftovers?
Ability: Simple
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Modest
- Charge Beam
- Surf
- Super Fang
- Ice Beam / Grass Knot
This beaver is amazing. With the ability Simple and Charge Beam's 70% chance of raising my Sp. Attack, this guy can potentially sweep. Super Fang helps get rid of Blissey or any bulky waters and tanks.
Gyarados @ Leftovers?
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
This is seen everywhere, and I must admit this guy has a TON OF POWER. He could switch in to anything and use intimidate to lower its attack to soften the blow. All I need to do is Dragon Dance two times, and it is ready to sweep!
Starmie @ Leftovers? Light Clay?
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Nature: Bold
- Surf
- Recover
- Reflect / Light Screen
- Rain Dance / Thunderbolt / Rapid Spin
Starmie is either my Rain Dancer for Kingdra, or my Rapid Spinner. He sets Reflect or Light Screen to soften the blows of attacks. Surf is for stab. Recover is to...recover off damage.
I've also thought about Ludicolo and Empoleon. They do seem like good choices. I just don't know how to implement them on my team.
As you can see...I am not very original with my attached items. Any suggestions including switching out the current Pokemon are nice.
