Monotype Rising Sets
:sv/ogerpon wellspring:
:sv/iron moth:
:sv/wo-chien:

Welcome to the seventh edition of the Monotype Rising Sets that aims to unveil the future of Monotype. You have been using an unknown set for a long time or have just thought about a new way of using a Pokémon? Come sharing your findings with the community!

This event will be run in the form of a contest. You will have 3 weeks to submit ONE set of your choosing for whichever Pokémon, before a poll is launched in the Monotype room to determine the winning set.

Rules:
  • Only one post per person is allowed.
  • Both the Pokémon and the set you want to feature are up to you.
  • A set is valid if and only if it does not exist in the Monotype SV SmogDex.
  • Item/Move-swap sets are not allowed, unless they change fundamentally the way the Pokémon is used.
  • You may import your set from your PS! teambuilder or write it down.
  • Your set proposition must include the following elements: set, description, potential teammates, and either replays or damage calculations.
  • Replays and damage calculations must showcase the set's uniqueness, so choose them wisely.
  • Please convey the uniqueness of your set while avoiding emphatic language ("It's the greatest set ever!")
  • Do not react to other submitted sets in your post, focus on yours.
Hereunder you will find the accepted format for submissions as well as an example of accepted and rejected sets.

Name of the set + Pokémon name + (Type) (ex: "Choice Specs Dragapult (Dragon)")

(you may import the set directly from your PS! teambuilder)

Pokemon @ Item
Ability:
EVs:
x Nature
- move 1
- move 2
- move 3
- move 4

Set Description

Describe what your set is achieving, which niche does it fill? Why is it interesting in the current metagame?

Teammates

Describe who would be the ideal teammates to surround it with which set.

Replays OR Damage calculations (doing both is accepted)

1. xxx
2. xxx
3. xxx

They should be commented and help you to make your point.

Barraskewda @ Choice Band
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Liquidation
- Flip Turn
- Close Combat
- Poison Jab

Changing one coverage move by another does not change the way the set is used, it is still Choice Band Barraskewda inside.
Barraskewda @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Muscle Band
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Liquidation
- Flip Turn
- Close Combat
- Psychic Fangs

By swapping Choice Band with HdB or Muscle Band, the way the pokémon is used drastically changes. Now Barraskewda acts as an Offensive Pivot, which comes with its own perks. Changing the moveset is not mandatory, but it does not mean the moveset should be lazily copy/pasted from an existing set. Your moveset should always be backed up with arguments.

Rewards:
  • ^ rank on Monotype room for a month
  • The winning set will be featured in the Monotype room
  • Addition of the set in the SmogDex

If you feel the heart of a builder, come sharing your best craft with the community!

Deadline for set submission is October 28th @ 11:59pm GMT-4

Le Pom
Bulky Terrain Sweeper (Electric)

Oricorio-Pom-Pom @ Electric Seed / Kee Berry
Ability: Dancer
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Air Slash
- Roost
- Revelation Dance / Substitute

IMG_0373.jpeg

Context:
I’ve been toying with electric for a while, always seeing its potential and trying to figure out how to best pull out its strengths as a type with the Pokémon available. I realized the standard electric builds were not good and you can’t build electric with defensive utility in mind. I then realized that electric has one of the best screens setters in the game and also has electric terrain + terrain extender.

Set Description:
Quiver Dance Oricorio utilizes both screens and electric terrain to become a dangerous bulky setup sweeper. Many teams in the metagame do not have the tools to deal with oricorio after it gets a defense boost from an electric seed and multiple quiver dances (some types such as fire/ghost/fairy) lose nearly on preview. The given ev spread outspeeds flutter mane after a single quiver dance, and the rest of the evs are dumped into HP and defense to take physical attacks more easily (you even avoid the two hit ko from choice banded Dragapult). If you choose to not run Pincurchin, you can run a Kee Berry instead. You can also drop Revelation Dance for Substitute to give you a chance vs ground if you are not running a Rotom-Wash for the Ground/Poison matchups.

Teammmates:

:SV/Regieleki:
Regieleki is the fastest pokemon in the tier and outspeeds most choice scarfers being only slower than scarfers faster than Choice Scarf Iron Valiant. It crucially has the combination of Duel Screens and Rapid Spin, making it Oricorio’s best partner.

:SV/pincurchin:
Pincurchin is electric’s only terrain setter, activating our electric seed, as well as having access to utility such as spikes and memento. This gives us even more opportunities to sweep.

Other Options: Other than these two teammates, the rest are optional and it’s mostly just picking other setup sweepers/breakers to soften up teams for Oricorio to sweep in the end game. These Pokemon include: Swords Dance Iron Hands, Calm Mind Raging Bolt, Sub Nasty Plot Rotom, Dragon Dance Iron Thorns, and Shift Gear Throat Spray Toxtricity.

Prankster Screens Meowstic (Psychic)
Meowstic (M) @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 248 HP / 152 Def / 104 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Thunder Wave
- Charm

Set Description
Prankster Screens has always been a valuable niche on any type that can utilize it. The extra bulk from Prankster screens makes AV mons extremely durable all around. Meowstic’s Prankster Screens also allows setup sweepers to have a number of different angles to setup for wins. Also being able to spread paralysis allows it to function similarly to Klefki on Fairy. Charm allows you soften blows even further behind Reflect to help other Meowstic’s teammates come in easily and is especially useful for Weakness Policy teammates who want to preserve HP. 104 Spe EVs and Timid allows you to outspeed Ceruledge to set Reflect before it can Shadow Sneak. The rest of the EVs goes into HP and Defense to maximize physical bulk.

Teammates
:PMd/iron-crown: One of the Weakness Policy setup sweepers that enjoys Dual Screens to clean games by proc’ing the item as well as living hits.

:pmd/hoopa-unbound: Hoopa has naturally high SpD, by having Reflect to boost its physical bulk, it allows Hoopa to threaten types like Steel more by not being forced out by mons like Iron Threads and threaten an OHKO in return.

:pmd/Gallade: Similar to Hoopa above, having Reflect on an AV set allows Gallade to threaten types like Steel and Dragon much easier.

:pmd/hatterene: CM Hatt enjoys the extra bulk to setup and drain tank as well as providing hazard prevention in Magic Bounce.

Special Wall Frog Politoed (Water)

Politoed @ Eject Button
Ability: Drizzle
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Encore
- Weather Ball
- Haze
- Hypnosis

Politoed is an excellent rain pivot for Water teams, being able to survive most hits and switching out to preserve. Unlike Pelipper, Politoed can easily survive a Thunderbolt, and doesn't need to use Heavy-Duty Boots. Haze can decimate common set-ups like Volcarona while comfortably surviving hits, encore to essentially make special attackers immobile, and Weather Ball for reliable damage. Most Electric moves being special make Politoed's amazing Special Defense make it a good switch-in to setup rain, then immediately get outta there with Eject Button. Hypnosis is to set to bed what would be generally threatening Pokemon to the rest of the team, allowing it to safely pivot if its Eject Button is lost.

Basculegion and Barraskewda are essentially required as teammates, being excellent Choice Band sweepers.
Tentacruel takes advantage of this, being a wall almost impossible to break with Leftovers and Rain Dish, while also removing hazards with Rapid Spin.
Urshifu greatly benefits from this, Surging Strikes destroying teams left and right.
This may seem...weird. (Well, at least to me. Pelipper overrated.) But Pelipper with rain dish could be a nice partner, adding a ground immunity as well as STAB Hurricane + Weather Ball/Surf for reliable damage, and U-Turn to pivot.

Damage Calcs:
Electric
Lv. 100 252+ SpA Life Orb Raging Bolt Thunderbolt vs. Lv. 100 252 HP / 252+ SpD Politoed: 315-374 (82 - 97.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Lv. 100 252+ SpA Choice Specs Zapdos Volt Switch vs. Lv. 100 252 HP / 252+ SpD Politoed: 264-312 (68.7 - 81.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Lv. 100 252+ SpA Choice Specs Zapdos Thunderbolt vs. Lv. 100 252 HP / 252+ SpD Politoed: 338-402 (88 - 104.6%) -- 31.25% chance to OHKO

Grass
+2 Lv. 100 0 SpA Hydrapple Giga Drain vs. Lv. 100 252 HP / 252+ SpD Politoed: 272-324 (70.8 - 84.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 Lv. 100 0 SpA Sinistcha Matcha Gotcha vs. Lv. 100 252 HP / 252+ SpD Politoed: 164-194 (42.7 - 50.5%) -- 1.56% chance to 2HKO

quick note: I'm not using the Smogon calculator, its a VGC calculator that I'm using due to the former being blocked (another reason I haven't been on much) that's why 'lv. 100' is in front of the calcs. All calcs are based off the sets on the Smogon Dex.

Assault Vest Slither Wing (Bug)
Slither Wing @ Assault Vest
Ability: Protosynthesis
EVs: 220 Atk / 68 SpD / 220 Spe
Adamant / Lonely Nature
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Flare Blitz / Heat Wave
- U-turn

Set Description
This is designed to help turn around Bug's generally poor matchups such as Raging Bolt Dragon where Bolt can basically 6-0, Steel, Normal. With its solid HP and high SpD, an Assault Vest lets Slither Wing switch in on special attacks that threaten its teammates. Against Steel, Flare Blitz, Earthquake, and Close Combat with its high Atk lets it threaten most of the team with a OHKO or 2HKO. Its high SpD provides an answer to Gholdengo, Archaludon, and even Heatran. It can 2HKO Raging Bolt with Earthquake (or usually with Earthquake + U-Turn too) while the 60 SpD EVs allow it to always survive +1 Thunderbolt/Draco Meteor into Thunderclap from 200 SpA Modest Bolt, ~90% chance to survive if 252 Modest, from full HP. Its resistance to Ground and Dark and neutrality to Rock lets it answer Bisharp, which is normally a nuisance for Bug when at +2, and Choice Scarf Landorus. Good SpD and a strong STAB Close Combat lets it threaten Normal types like Terapagos, Blissey, Porygon2, and Ursaluna. The Spe EVs allow it to outspeed unboosted Meowscarada, and anything slower such as Roaring Moon, Sneasler, Greninja, Ogerpon, in Sticky Web.
Alternatively, a Heat Wave (and possibly a Lonely nature) can be used to avoid Flare Blitz and Rocky Helmet recoil against Skarmory, and beat Iron Defense Skarmory.

Teammates
Standard powerful offensive threats for Bug like Volcarona, Scizor, and Kleavor are good teammates. Araquanid also provides a switch-in for Fire type moves and Sticky Web support. Forretress is a good physical wall that can use Volt Switch for pivoting or set Spikes to chip opponents for Slither Wing and the rest of the team. Lokix is also an option to add on more direct offensive pressure and provides a Psychic immunity.

Future Sight Latios (Dragon)

Code:
Latios (M) @ Soul Dew
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Luster Purge
- Flip Turn
- Future Sight

Set Description
While most Latios sets capitalize on its coverage options, here we use Future Sight and Flip Turn to create an unstoppable offensive combination. Soul Dew is used as the best generalist damage-boosting item as no coverage moves are used. Draco Meteor pairs well with Flip Turn since if Latios switches out after Draco's SpA drop but before Future Sight hits, Future Sight will still use Latios's full SpA. Luster Purge is both Latios's best spammable STAB move while also pairing well with Future Sight since a Future Sight that lands on a target whose SpD has been lowered by Luster Purge will benefit from those SpD drops.

Teammates
The most important teammate is a strong physical attacker as Future Sight followed by Flip Turn into them creates a situation where the opponent will be hit by both a physical attack and a special attack the next turn. For that reason, Roaring Moon is a great teammate. Other options include Garchomp, physical Dragapult, and Dragonite. Since Latios can get chipped down throughout a battle, Healing Wish support from Latias can prove valuable.

3 Ice Attacks Cloyster (Water):
:cloyster:
Cloyster @ Never-Melt Ice
Ability: Skill Link
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 240 Atk / 180 SpA / 88 Spe
Rash Nature
- Icicle Spear
- Ice Beam
- Ice Shard
- Shell Smash

Set description: Mixed spread enables it to always beat most Dragon and Flying (except AV Archaludon variants) after a Shell Smash setup. 240 Attack EVs with a NevermeltIce ensure Cloyster always KO Latios at +2 with Ice Shard (while still taking down Goodra-Hisui), while 180 Special Attack EVs with a Rash nature ensure it can always oneshot Archaludon with Ice Beam and same item. Rest of EVS goes into speed to outspeed certain fat threats and can outspeed up to 130 unboosted speed after a Shell Smash. It's also very useful against Flying since mixed approach enables it to beat simultaneously Articuno, Skarmory and Corviknight. Set goal is to have a reliable way of beating forementioned types while freeing the rest of team structure to prepare vs other builds (Dark, Water, etc)

Teammates:
:ogerpon-wellspring: :urshifu-rapid-strike:
Pokémon that struggle with Flying and Dragon in Pokemon in general such as Ogerpon-Wellspring and Urshifu-Rapid Strike form great partners.
:swampert:
Swampert is also a great ally due to its ability to bring Stealth Rock (denies Skarmory's Sturdy which lets it get KOed by +2 Ice Beam) and Flip Turn, obtaining extra momentum especially against Defoggers.

Calcs:
+2 180+ SpA Never-Melt Ice Cloyster Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Archaludon: 385-454 (100.2 - 118.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 240 Atk Never-Melt Ice Cloyster Icicle Spear (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Corviknight: 380-450 (95 - 112.5%) -- approx. 91% chance to OHKO (spdef Corv)

:toucannon: THE CANNON :Toucannon:(Defensive Custap Berry Toucannon) (Normal)

Tiger Cannon (Toucannon) @ Custap Berry
Ability: Keen Eye
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Beak Blast
- Roost
- Knock Off
- Brave Bird

Before I say anything BIG shoutout to Leafeonlol for this set, he beat my ass on ladder with it and as a fellow Toucannon enjoyer I used it a bunch myself and was impressed with the results.

Set Description:
Anybody who has played STABmons knows how nasty this move is against physical attackers. Normally Toucannon's stats are too bad to use this move offensively, but defensively its another story. With fully defensive EVs this thing can crucially take hits from Pokemon like Ogerpon-W, Kleavor, and Sneasler and cripple them or outright KO them depending on the situation. Beak Blast also punishes the use of Rapid Spin from Pokemon like Great Tusk, Iron Treads, and Brambleghast, which can be super handy in the long run. It also punishes the commonly spammed Flip Turn and U-turn that many countless Pokemon use. Roost allows you to heal while Knock Off gives you pressure against the several switch ins this thing has. Brave Bird allows you to use a stronger physical nuke and also allows you to chip yourself into Custap range. Custap is super useful as a last-ditch effort to make progress or to keep Toucannon healthy. Custap Roost allows you to survive hits like Exacdrill/Landorus' Rock Slide better and allows you to try and stall them out. Heavy Duty Boots can be used as well but Braviary tends to be better if you use this item due to its stats being better. Custap is uniquely good on Toucannon due to its unique ability to burn the targets it attempts to wall, which Braviary cannot do.

Teammates:
:Blissey: - Works well to take special hits for it, also just a really solid mon on Normal.
:Ditto: - Borderline requirement for Normal teams, also takes advantage of its burns to revenge kill physical attackers
:Zoroark-hisui: - Mindgame specialist and also a really solid breaker that likes Toucannon's disruption tactics
:Terapagos: - Rapid Spin support so Toucannon doesn't lose to rocks
:Ursaluna: - Burnt targets make for great setup opportunities

Life Dew Goodra-h:
Style (Goodra-Hisui) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Gooey
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- Heavy Slam
- Dragon Tail
- Life Dew

Set description:
Hisuian Goodra is an excellent special wall on Dragon, but it is prone to getting chipped down by hazards and repeated attacks, due to its lack of recovery moves, and therefore being forced to run leftovers. Except it does have recovery, in the form of life dew. By running life dew, goodra-h can afford to run heavy duty boots, which eases the matchup into hazardstacking teams. With boots and life dew, goodra can switch in on powerful special attackers even with spikes up, scare them out with knock off/heavy slam, and heal back up on the switch-out. The EV spread just maximises special bulk.

Teammates:
Archaludon completes the dragon defensive core by tanking the physical moves that Goodra cannot
Dragapult provides speed, power, and a fighting immunity for the two dragon/steel types
Garchomp, with bulk investment, spikes and stealth rocks, makes Goodra's dragon tail far scarier, while still dealing out big damage with earthquake

Damage Calculations:
252 SpA Choice Specs Flutter Mane Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Goodra-Hisui: 129-153 (35.4 - 42%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
With life dew, Goodra can come in on Flutter Mane up to 9 times, whereas a regular Goodra which has to contend with Klefki's/Frosslass's spikes would only be able to do so about twice
+1 0 SpA Hatterene Draining Kiss vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Goodra-Hisui: 58-69 (15.9 - 18.9%) -- possible 6HKO
you outheal hatterene,
252 SpA Enamorus Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Goodra-Hisui: 87-103 (23.9 - 28.2%) -- 95.5% chance to 4HKO
you also beat enam through spikes
252 SpA Choice Specs Protean Greninja Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Goodra-Hisui: 102-120 (28 - 32.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
you'll run out of life dew pp before it can break through you, no matter how much samurott clicked ceaseless edge
244 SpA Choice Specs Walking Wake Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Goodra-Hisui: 166-196 (45.6 - 53.8%) -- 44.9% chance to 2HKO
-2 244 SpA Choice Specs Walking Wake Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Goodra-Hisui: 84-99 (23 - 27.1%) -- 50.3% chance to 4HKO
importantly, this set beats the combo of samurrot-h and specs walking wake, which can otherwise power through Goodra.

Amoonguss @ Assault Vest
Name: Assault Vest (Poison)
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD or 248 HP / 104 Def / 156 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Clear Smog
- Sludge Bomb / Leaf Storm
- Leaf Storm / Foul Play

[SET COMMENTS]
Trying to write this too much without repeating myself is hard so brief time. Assault Vest Amoonguss is a good anti Water and Electric mon capable of handling foes like Primarina, Raging Bolt, and Landorus somewhat comfortably. Giga Drain provides pressure onto Keldeo, Rotom-W, and Landorus while keeping Amoonguss healthy. Clear Smog prevents it from being setup food against Primarina and Raging bolt. Sludge Bomb does good damage and spreads Poison. Leaf Storm obtains OHKOs on Urshifu-R and offensive Great Tusk variants. Foul Play can allow Amoonguss to check Dragapult and Iron Boulder. Spread A is max SpD while Spread B more reliably handles threats like Great Tusk after Stealth Rock and Ogerpon-W.

[Teammates]
Traditional Amoonguss teammates are still appreciated, however Pecharunt does enjoy AV Amoonguss a lot more as it is a more solid overall check to all Water-types. Alolan Muk also enjoys not needing to run Poison Jab to handle Primarina enabling it to run one of its tech moves like Rest or Rock Slide.

Spore can be used as a surprise tool if Amoonguss takes a weak knock off from threats like Alolan Muk or Hisuian Goodra as it then surprise the opposing team with an unexpected sleep.
Stomping Tantrum can enable Amoonguss to break through Hisuian Goodra and Empoleon along with being able to do incredible damage on an Iron Moth or Heatran coming in or Raging bolt once Air Balloon is popped without worrying about reseting Draco Meteor's power.

I'm not stopping until I win one of these.

Neutralizing Gas Weezing - Fairy

Weezing-Galar @ Custap Berry / Heavy Duty Boots
Ability: Neutralizing Gas
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 248 HP / 248 Def / 12 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog
- Destiny Bond / Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
- Flamethrower

Weezing is the only hazard removal for fairy teams. It also has solid physical bulk and access to will o wisp. Neutralizing gas prevents Gholdengo from switching in to block defog and bisharp from gaining defiant boosts.
It also removes technician from scizor allowing us to burn it easier.
12 speed evs allow us to outspeed base 60s and the rare tyranitar.
Custap allows 1 last move at low health (usually dbond or defog depending on hazard situation) while boots allows it to not take chip from hazards.

Teammates are pretty much anything fairy usually uses although hatterene is far less necessary because you can remove hazards.
Primarina/azumarill love burnt physical attackers to set up on.
Tinkaton has rocks and encore and is able to take make it rain from gholdengo.
Enamorus provides a ground immunity (I didn't use it but I think it has potential especially since you can remove sr from your side)
Klefki is under less pressure with an additional physical wall

+2 252+ Atk Metal Coat Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 248 HP / 248+ Def Neutralizing Gas Weezing-Galar: 218-260 (65.4 - 78%) -- guaranteed 2HKO you can hard switch it into scizor and still live a bp and burn it if it sds as you switch in

252+ Atk Bisharp Iron Head vs. 248 HP / 248+ Def Neutralizing Gas Weezing-Galar: 180-212 (54 - 63.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
You are capable of burning it one on one. It also can't get defiant on switch in to defog because of ngas

0 Atk Goodra-Hisui Heavy Slam (120 BP) vs. 248 HP / 248+ Def Neutralizing Gas Weezing-Galar: 168-198 (50.4 - 59.4%)
You can live one on switch in, outspeed with your 12 speed evs, and threaten wisp. If goodra actually takes wisp primarina pretty much solos dragon behind light screen.

24 Atk Swampert Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 248+ Def Neutralizing Gas Weezing-Galar: 152-182 (45.6 - 54.6%) -- 53.5% chance to 2HKO
similar to goodra here you live one and threaten burn

252 Atk Choice Band Excadrill Iron Head vs. 248 HP / 248+ Def Neutralizing Gas Weezing-Galar: 258-306 (77.4 - 91.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO you can take a banded iron head (but not eq) from full vs ground a burn exca if they stay in

I think I'm done

Mega Pikachu -- Fighting

Pawmot @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure / Iron Fist / Volt Absorb
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Double Shock
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Seed Bomb

[SET COMMENTS]
Ever tire of running shitty Mixed Iron Valiant for fast BoltBeam coverage when Specs Valiant is so much better? Ever tire of predicting wrong as you click Tbolt against the electric immunity of Water and are forced to switch? Well if you ever have had these issues, I have just the set for you!

Pawmot is a monster in some matchups, such as Flying and Water. Pawmot is nice against water Water, as LO Seed Bomb OHKOS Swampert 100% of the time, ensuring Double Shock is 100% risk-free as you can just KO the pert with Seed Bomb if it dares to switch in. In addition, LO Double Shock has enough power to KO Toxapex after Stealth Rock. LO Ice Punch ensures the OHKO on Gliscor after SR, ensuring Flying has no safe switch-in to this beast, which is espeically nice when you conisder that Pawmot is just fast enough to outspeed Landorus-I. Close Combat is an alternative STAB move to use after you can no longer click Double Shock, ensuring Pawmot is never setup bait; in addition, it hits Mamoswine that attempt to switch into Ice Punch.

Natural Cure is generally the best ability to deal with Moltres's Flame Body, but Volt absorb can be used for an additional Electric immunity, and Iron Fist can be used for additional power on Ice punch. If Iron Fist is used, Punching glove, Mach Punch, and ThunderPunch>Double Shock are viable options. However, this is discouraged due to the loss of power (which is critical for the below calcs)

Calcs:

252 Atk Life Orb Pawmot Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Swampert: 458-541 (113.3 - 133.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Pawmot Ice Punch vs. 244 HP / 32 Def Gliscor: 317-374 (90 - 106.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Life Orb Pawmot Double Shock vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 250-296 (82.5 - 97.6%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Life Orb Pawmot Double Shock vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 265-315 (79.3 - 94.3%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Life Orb Pawmot Double Shock vs. 252 HP / 244+ Def Moltres: 367-432 (95.5 - 112.5%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

[Teammates]
AV Gallade or AV Okidogi make nice teammates to soak up Special Attacks, and Pawmot also pairs nicely with Specs Iron Valiant, as it covers the need for fast BoltBeam coverage. Other than that, traditional Fighting teammates are appreciated, although it should be noted that you may be able to cut Great Tusk more effectively due to Pawmot's ability Volt Absorb.

Screens Sableye - Ghost

Sableye @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 248 HP / 120 Def / 140 SpD
Careful Nature
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave/Taunt/Disable
- Knock Off/Foul Play/Encore

Set Comments
Sableye is the best screen setter on Ghost due to Prankster screens and being neutral to everything besides fairy, which does allow it to be able to switch in to most things and set up a screen or be able to halve the damage of whatever mon and set up the other screen. It is EV'd to be able to live a Moonblast with Light Screen up from Choice Specs Flutter Mane. The last 2 move slots are very flexible. You can probably run any combination of moves, and it would work out fine. Will mention that I found that Thunder Wave and Knock Off are moves that end up being more useful than the alternatives. Thunder Wave is useful for speed control and slowing down opposing Dragapults, since Infiltrator can go through screens or can slow down other fast Pokémon, which makes it easier to sweep. Knock off allows Sableye to being able to do some damage to prevent it from being setup/leftovers recovery fodder is nice.

Alternatively you can run max def to be able to switch in and set up a screen vs band excadril.

Calcs
With Screen up

252 SpA Choice Specs Flutter Mane Moonblast vs. 248 HP / 140+ SpD Sableye through Light Screen: 255-301 (84.1 - 99.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Mimikyu Play Rough vs. 248 HP / 120 Def Sableye through Reflect: 164-192 (54.1 - 63.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Ceruledge Poltergeist vs. 248 HP / 120 Def Sableye through Reflect: 191-225 (63 - 74.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

To Switch in to setup screen(s)
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Earth Power vs. 248 HP / 140+ SpD Sableye: 243-289 (80.1 - 95.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Lokix First Impression vs. 248 HP / 120 Def Sableye: 177-211 (58.4 - 69.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 248 HP / 140+ SpD Sableye: 175-207 (57.7 - 68.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Teammates
Weakness policy Ceruledge is by far the best abuser of screens ghost has. With Reflect up it can switch into non band/boosted stab earthquakes and knock offs like lando-t and hoopa-u and basically get a shell smash. Or if it gets a free switch in click swords dance and use bitter blade to heal up any hit it takes. Ceruledge can very easily just 6-0 with screens up at any point in time.

Specs Fluter Mane appreciates screens because most special attacks will do no damage against it with light screen up and with reflect priority physical moves can no longer take it out as easily

With Screens up Gholdengo can start powering through some more defensive teams. Nasty plot gholdengo can start chipping through gliscor, Tornadus-T, goodra-h and A-muk. Can also feel safer nasty plotting vs normal as +2 shadow ball from ditto does not ohko with light screen with if it has max hp regardless of how much special attack investment you have.

Dragapult/Spectrier can run their usual sub setup set and it is very difficult for the defensive pokemon that usually switch in to break subs. Usually requiring 2 moves to actually break it. Special note with Spectrier is that running Wisp+Hex means you can set up on Goodra since burn+reflect prevents knock off from breaking subs and you can't be forced out with dragon tail if it hits sub.

Swords Dance Iron Boulder + 3 attacks (Psychic)

Terrakion 2050 (Iron Boulder) @ Muscle Band
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Mighty Cleave
- Zen Headbutt
- Earthquake / Close Combat

Introduction to the set
This is Offensive Swords Dance Iron Boulder with 3 attacks mentioned above and with Muscle Band. The aim is to try sweeping types which always wall us

Uses
I know that Choice Scarf :Iron Boulder: is always the best set to use on Mono Rock or Psychic. It allows to outspeed dark types like :Meowscarada: and :Greninja: . But for Mono Psychic, I tried to use :Iron Boulder: with a swords dance and it works pretty well in forcing some types to switch out so that we can get a free Swords Dance. This can be helpful vs Flying teams and Poison teams as they keep switching to their defensive walls when we get Mighty Cleave or Zen Headbutt. If you want to do well vs Poison you can have Earthquake. Or if you want to do well vs Dark or Steel, Close Combat is good too, but Earthquake allows us to hit :Gholdengo: as well . I also prefer Muscle Band over Life Orb for a bit of boost instead of getting small chips every turn. But having Earthquake or Close Combat is completely your choice.

The main use of this set is to try sweeping some bulky teams or at least try chipping them. You try finding a place where you can force the opponent to switch with :Iron Boulder: and then start using Swords Dance. For example, you send :Iron Boulder: vs :Goodra-Hisui: . They definitely switch to :Archaludon: unexpecting us to use Swords Dance. And there you go, now you chip it hard enough.

Most important thing is that it seriously allows you much freedom. While fighting Poison, they often switch between other poison types and :Muk-Alola: which forces us to switch often. This time, you set up when :Clodsire: is on the field and try for sweeping. Even with Flying, Pokemon like :Corviknight: tanks our Psychic attacks. Hitting it with Mighty Cleave can do decent damage. :Iron Boulder: is also able to live Iron Head from :Corviknight: which can give us a good 2HKO on it. Here you try setting Swords on a Flying type weak to Rock type attacks.

Thanks to Muscle Band, the power of these moves gradually increases

Mighty Cleave: 95 BP => 104.5 BP (105 BP) (powerful than Earthquake!)
Zen Headbutt: 80 BP => 88 BP => 114.4 BP (114 BP) (If there is Psychic Terrain, goes <100 BP)
Earthquake: 100 BP => 110 BP
Close Combat: 120 BP => 132 BP

As you see, most of them goes above 100 BP.

Calcs
Im pretty sure everyone still dosent trust this set but here are some damage records.
