The team I used to achieve reqs (for the most part). As inferred from the name of the team, it excels at using the synergy shared between the team members to set up a sweep with a mon. I chose to experiment with dark after recognizing the type's versatility (similar to water and flying) considering it's offensive and defensive capabilities. On the defensive side, dark has Mandibuzz, Tyranitar, Umbreon, Drapion and Mega Sableye, which are all pokemon capable of dealing with various strong threats. On the offensive side of the spectrum, however, dark is much stronger with powerhouses including Bisharp, Hoopa-U, Weavile, Crawdaunt, Hydreigon, Scrafty, Mega Tyranitar, Mega Houndoom, Mega Sharpedo, Mega Absol, Hydreigon, Krookodile, Malamar, and even Honchkrow. Keeping this in mind I managed to create (imo) a very balanced team that only instant loses to a select handful of team-specific type combos, which only adds to its viability (once again in my opinion). Enough talk, on to the actual team!

At a Glance:

Crawdaunt @ Life Orb/Lum Berry
Ability: Adaptability
Ev's: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
-Aqua Jet
-Crabhammer
-Knock Off
-Swords Dance
Crawdaunt is what sparked my interest in the offensive side of dark teams, as its look, typing, and even movepool contribute to it being one of my favorite pokemon. Crawdaunt's place on this team is well deserved as a wallbreaker. It's powerful Life Orb Aqua Jet is enough to dent frail pokemon on the opposing side, and Swords Dance supplemented with the switches Crawdaunt forces enables and Knock Off enables it to break through very tough walls like Skarmory, Porygon-2, and Mega Sableye. The EV's are to have as much speed as possible without sacrificing power, along with all the power Crawdaunt can possibly possess. Life Orb can be replaced with Lum Berry with the benefit of temporary status immunity, at the cost of power.

Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EV's: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
Jolly Nature
-Ice Shard
-Icicle Crash
-Knock Off
-Low Kick
Weavile is a great speed control mon that easily outspeeds and bops pokemon of various types. Not much to say other than it functions as a great secondary revenge killer with Ice Shard. EV spread is to have as much speed as possible and max power. Icicle Crash is a great STAB move, along with Knock Off for dark STAB and Low Kick for coverage.

Sableye @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EV's: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 SpD
Careful Nature
-Will-O-Wisp
-Knock Off
-Snarl
-Recover
Mega Sableye forms a great core with the other two defensive mons on the team, Tyranitar and Mandibuzz. It's prankster ability enables it to be a huge nuisance before it mega evolves, harassing the opposing team with priority burns and recovers. After it mega evolves, it can switch easily into fighting pokemon that immensely threaten the team (except keldeo) and it's Magic Bounce ability is great for auxiliary hazard control and a status switch-in. This set is substandard utility Mega Sableye. However, it utilizes an underrated move in Snarl, a support move that deals small damage in addition to lowering the target's Special Attack 1 stage. This is a crucial move in securing sweeps by weakening special mons, and it technically increases Mega Sableye's special bulk to Blissey levels after enough snarls. A common and important use for this set is stalling out Charizard-Y's immediate sun upon-mega evolution. This allows MSable to take a hit after Charizard is sent in predicting a Will-O-Wisp, enabling Tyranitar to come in and shut it down.

Hoopa-Unbound @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magician
EV's: 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
-Hyperspace Fury
-Drain Punch
-Gunk Shot
-Zen Headbutt
Hoopa-U functions as the revenge killer for the team, with its great offensive stats and speed holding a Choice Scarf. Hyperspace Fury and Zen Headbutt are STAB moves, while Drain Punch, and Gunk Shot are coverage moves capable of handling Steel, Fairy, and Rock types.

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EV's: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
-Defog
-Toxic
-Roost
-Foul Play
At some times, the survivability of this carrion bird is unbelievable. The amazing combo of defensive wall+foul play enables it to punish mons that tend to boost up in its face, such as Dragonite and Bisharp. Defog is hazard control for easing switch pressure, and increases the survivability of Mandibuzz and Weavile. Toxic is bog status to bother walls and other pokemon, Roost for reliable recovery.

Tyranitar @ Leftovers/Shuca Berry/Chople Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EV's: 248 HP / 180 SpD / 80 Def
Relaxed Nature
-Stealth Rock
-Stone Edge
-Fire Blast/Ice Beam
-Pursuit
Tyranitar is a great specially defensive mon, and eases pressure from mons like Charizard, Thundurus Formes, Heatran, etc. Standard support ttar EV spread, with rocks, Stone Edge as STAB, pursuit for weakening mons that switch out of Tyranitar, and Fire Blast/Ice Beam as the coverage of choice to hit Steels/Ground and Flying types, respectively. Leftovers is the go-to item option, however, super effective berries help to tank a hit to get up rocks or take out a threat (Shuca reduces Ground damage, Chople reduces Fighting).

Type Difficulty (ranging from Easy/Neutral/Hard) Keep in mind these are relative terms of describing difficulty, Easy means win conditions are clear, Neutral makes that harder, and Hard makes it near impossible.
Hard; If there is a Cobalion present on the team, it is much harder to sweep with scarf Hoopa. Keldeo gives the team the worst time.
Neutral; Crawdaunt has a ball versus this team along with Mega Sableye, although a misplayed Mandibuzz gives Mega-Lopunny a big advantage.
Easy; Crawdaunt, Tyranitar and Hoopa all have a great time against Fire.
Easy; Weavile, Tyranitar, Hoopa, and Mega Sableye give Electric teams hell.
Neutral; Weavile isn't a huge threat due to Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn, but it does damage. Mega Sableye becomes a win condition, and Hoopa comes in clutch against Venu.
Neutral; Kyurem and Mamoswine are huge threats, but Tyranitar and Mega Sableye, respectively, can come out on top with smart play.
Hard; Azumarill and Keldeo fuck over the team immensely. Weavile and Crawdaunt become incapable of abusing their non-Dark STAB, Tyranitar is overwhelmed easily.
Easy; Kill Drapion, Hoopa devours the team.
Easy; Kill Seismitoad, Crawdaunt clicks Crabhammer once and Aqua Jet 4 times. If Gastrodon, set up and proceed as previously mentioned.
Easy; Kill Skarmory, weaken Lando-T, commence Weavile sweep. Crawdaunt is excellent at completing the two objectives.
Easy; Pursuit trap Victini and proceed to sweep with Hoopa.
Neutral; Despite the type disadvantage, the bug matchup isn't as bad as you would expect. Tyranitar tanks a +1 Bug Buzz from Volcarona and takes it out, the biggest threat to the team. Crawdaunt has little to no resistance defensively, and Hoopa wreaks havoc at the right moments.
Easy; Set up rocks, kill Cradily, and Crawdaunt has its way.
Easy; The offensive core of Weavile/Crawdaunt/Hoopa handles everything Ghost has to throw at it. In my opinion, the easiest matchup of all for this team.
Easy; I've been beaten by Dragons before, although smart Sableye, Mandibuzz and Weavile play will tilt the game in your favor.
Neutral; Crawdaunt wreaks havoc on the opposing dark team if it lacks Hydreigon. Opposing Hoopa and Weavile are annoying, though.
Neutral; Ferrothorn is a thorn (pun intended) in this team's side. The rest of the team is relatively easy to handle, though.

Hard; Klefki is a pain, but Scarf Hoopa has a chance with Gunk Shot spam. Azumarill screws the team over.
