ORAS OU More Rain!

Hello Smogon! I created a new version of my rain team because I didn't know how to edit... After deleting my other post I just found the EDIT button D:. Thanks to those who commented in my previous post. My rain team has changed a lot since BW2, going from stalling to more of an offensive style. I changed my team massively.

politoed.gif

Politoed @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 248 HP / 164 SpD / 96 Spe
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Toxic
- Encore
- Rest

Politoed is a must have to this team as he's my only rain inducer so I'll have to know when to switch him in or not. Rest allows this guy to gain full hp while he's tanky enough to stay in until he wakes up from rest. Under the rain, I was surprised how much damage Scald did and with my luck, they were getting burned 75% of the time. I use Toxic to cripple Pokemon like Chansey and Scald for the sweepers.

swampert.gif

Swampert @ Swampertite
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Power-Up Punch

My sweeper/ revenge killer. With Power-Up Punch, my Swampert can sweep teams. Having replaced Superpower with Power-Up Punch, I feel that it's a better option so I don't have to switch out then switch back in. Thanks to it's Electric resist I can easily switch this guy in when facing stuff like Zapdos or Thundurus and not worry about getting OHKO.

kingdra.gif

Kingdra @ Choice Specs
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 28 HP / 252 SpA / 228 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Ice Beam

Kingdra is used as my sweeper. I debated between a Physical or Special Kingdra, but Hydro Pump is amazing. With Swift Swim, Kingdra can outspeed the whole unboosted metagame. Not to mention how powerful Hydro Pump can be under the rain. Instead of Scald, I put Hidden Power [Electric] on my Kingdra for more coverage. Although Kingdra resists Electric as well, I usually don't switch it in when battling Thundurus with a Life Orb, mainly because it's not bulky enough.

toxicroak-female.gif

Toxicroak @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Gunk Shot
- Drain Punch
- Sucker Punch

I chose Toxicroak < Goodra + Vaporeon because of it's typing and ability. Not to mention it's Poison, Rock, and Dark resists. Dry Skin makes my Life Orb seem like Leftovers. I switch this guy in to take toxic spikes then I can set up swords dance or switch out depending on how good I am at predicting moves. I'm still getting used to the EV spread because it's not a typical tank spread. Drain Punch allows Toxicroak to heal up, like the move Recover, but with less Recovery.

UPDATE:
starmie.gif

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder
- Rapid Spin
- Hydro Pump
- Psychic

I replaced Dragonite with Starmie, instead of Tornadus - T for personal preference. And because I needed a Rapid Spinner and I prefer not to use Legends. Starmie is my sweeper with it's massive speed pool. I use Starmie to take care of Pokemon like opposing Rotom-W and Azumarill. Thanks to the rain, Hydro Pump gets boosted, but it's my last resort move. I may replace Hydro Pump with Scald. With Rapid Spin, I won't have to worry about Spikes or Stealth Rocks.

UPDATE:
ferrothorn.gif

Ferrothorn
@ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

I replaced Azumarill with Ferrothorn because he's more bulky. Ferrothorn is my setter. I usually lead with him unless the opposing team is not using a weather team. With it's bulkiness I'm able to tank Pokemon like Mega Sceptile. Plus another Electric resist doesn't hurt. With Power Whip I'm able to stun opposing Kingdra unless he switches out for a different Pokemon, then I will switch out to Toxicroak or a different mon depending on the situation.

That's pretty much it. This is my finalized team and I'm really excited to use it! Thanks for all your comments!

Azumarill's Evs are strange. With 76+ attack you get 170 attack, which goes to 340 considering huge power. You wont be able to belly drum in many matches, so if you want to be hitting hard anyways, you should use this EV spread: 252hp/252+attack
I dont see why you would like to put 180 evs on speed. It would be slow anyways

And Mega Salamence is banned from OU.

Hey Trainer Jimmy, this is a pretty solid rain build. Toxicroak is definitely an underrated rain abuser since it checks stuff like Keldeo, Bisharp, and M-Venusaur that are annoying for rain teams to deal with. Anyway, my rate is mainly going to be a few set adjustments since rain types are generally pretty simple and yours doesn't need much improvement as it is.

The first issue I see with your team is your lack of a Stealth Rock setter, so you should run Ferrothorn > Azumarill as your Dragon resist. Ferrothorn allows you to check opposing Azumarill, which can come in on your Kingdra if it's locked into Ice Beam or Draco Meteor (or on any move if it's Assault Vest) and fire off a free Play Rough to take advantage of your lack of a Fairy resist. The addition of Ferrothorn also helps you against common M-Gardevoir leads which can 2HKO or OHKO every member of your team with Hyper Voice, guaranteeing it a kill if it can get in on unboosted Toxicroak, Kingdra locked into anything but a water move, and Politoed. Also, for future reference, you should run Knock Off instead of Superpower on Belly Drum Azumarill, as this lets you OHKO Amoonguss, as well as Skarmory and Ferrothorn without having an attack or defense drop. You should also run max attack on Belly Drum Azumarill, as well as on any every other Huge Power Azumarill variant, to take full advantage of its insane power. I'll leave the proper spread and set for Belly Drum Azumarill below.

184.png

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 52 HP / 252 Atk / 204 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Play Rough
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet

The speed allows you to outspeed Klefki and M-Scizor that do not invest in speed, max attack allows you to hit as hard as possible, and the rest is in HP for a bit of bulk.
Next, you should run Scald > Hidden Power Electric on Kingdra since this allows you to abuse the rain and get surefire kills against Pokemon like Landorus-T, Bisharp, Heatran, M-Lopunny, etc. without having to risk Hydro Pump missing. Hydro Pump is generally a last resort move for Kingdra to use against stuff like a slightly weakened Clefable that you'd like to guarantee a kill against. There's no point in using HP Electric on Specs Kingdra since rain boosted Hydro Pump does more to resists than HP Electric does to Pokemon hit super effectively by it.
252+ SpA Choice Specs Kingdra Hydro Pump vs. 172 HP / 0 SpD Azumarill in Rain: 214-252 (55.7 - 65.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Kingdra Hidden Power Electric vs. 172 HP / 0 SpD Azumarill: 210-248 (54.6 - 64.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
You should also run 252 Speed EVs instead of 228 on Kingdra, as this allows you to speed tie or outspeed opposing Kingdra in the rain, as well as helps guarantee you outspeed stuff outside of the rain like Stallbreaker Mew, Rocky Helmet Garchomp, and Baton Pass Celebi that generally try to speed creep Pokemon that aim to outspeed Base 70s by one or two points.

Lastly, your Dragonite is an interesting member of the team that's definitely an effective lure to catch a ton of Pokemon like Landorus-T, Skarmory, and Slowbro off guard to help break them for Toxicroak and M-Swampert respectively, but Life Orb Dragonite is outclassed by Life Orb Tornadus-T, which is faster, has access to Regenerator to mitigate its Stealth Rock weakness, and has higher Special attack. With a Life Orb and no hazard removal, your Dragonite is very easily worn down, so you should run Life Orb Tornadus-T > Dragonite. If you do opt to keep Dragonite due to personal preference, i would advice running Rapid Spin Kabutops instead of Kindgra or Toxicroak to get rid of Stealth Rock for Dragonite, as well as run Inner Focus > Multiscale and Superpower > Aqua Tail. With Life Orb, Dragonite will be breaking its own Multiscale anyway, so Inner Focus can be used to surprise M-Lopunny and M-Medicham leads by taking them out with a Hurricane after not getting flinched. This also can help with stuff like Togekiss, Jirachi, and Excadrill that you want to get damage on without getting flinched by Air Slash or Iron Head. Superpower prevents you from having another member on your team that's walled by Ferrothorn, and can help you get off some solid damage on it to make your team have an easier time breaking it. I'll leave the sets for Dragonite and Kabutops below in case you don't chose to use Tornadus-T.
141.png

Kabutops @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 76 Atk / 252 SpA / 180 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Hurricane
- Extreme Speed
- Superpower

The speed on Dragonite allows it to outspeed Baton Pass Celebi, Jolly Bisharp, and Breloom, and the rest is in Attack to make Superpower and Extremespeed still pack a bit of a punch.
